Cen Jin froze entirely, her pupils dilating slightly, feeling as if every speck of dust in the air had co to a standstill. Her heartbeat kept accelerating as he deepened this sowhat awkward kiss. Cen Jin chose to slowly close her eyes, accepting this kiss that confird their relationship, yet feeling inexplicably tense, her grip on his clothes growing tighter and tighter.

Feeling her grip, Jiang Baizhou’s large hand around her waist also tightened slightly.

After the kiss ended, Cen Jin opened her eyes with a trace of blush, gently fluttering her eyelashes, eting his deep gaze. Her expression involuntarily beca frantic, and before she could avoid it, a pleasant and lodious ringtone resonated throughout the villa, startling Cen Jin so much that her hair stood on end. Jiang Baizhou straightened up with a broad smile, one hand slipping into his pant pocket, watching her with a grin.

"Yes, I’ve confird last ti, specific data is with Ling Ran, you can have her send it to you directly via email." Not sure what Yun Qi said on the other end, but Cen Jin responded very earnestly, even the blush on her face had disappeared.

"Ah, dinner?" After discussing so work-related matters with Yun Qi, the topic suddenly shifted, and she paused, asking: "Tonight?" Speaking, she instinctively turned to look at Jiang Baizhou, noticing he was staring at her with a sour expression.

"Uh, tonight might not work, sorry, I have so personal business." Cen Jin silently withdrew her gaze and refused Yun Qi’s invitation without even thinking.

"Okay, we’ll arrange another ti then." Cen Jin chuckled, agreeing politely, and then hung up the phone, turning again to Jiang Baizhou, eting his displeased gaze from Leng Sui: "Um... wha... why are you looking at like that, it’s creepy."

"What did he want from you?" Jiang Baizhou asked with a casual tone, his eyes slanted.

"Work matters."

"Discussing work over dinner?"

"It’s not like it would just be him and , Yun Xi and Ling Ran will be there, okay?" Cen Jin retorted confidently, "Besides, didn’t I just refuse?" She paused for a mont, then smiled playfully, tilting her head: "So... are you jealous?"

Hearing this, Jiang Baizhou’s face blushed slightly, revealing a hint of unease, extending his long arm to grab her hand, gently pulling it towards him: "I don’t allow any other n to get close to you, especially those with ulterior motives."

Cen Jin was speechless but naturally understood who he was referring to with ’ulterior motives.’

But he’s only t Yun Qi a few tis, how does he know others have ulterior motives? Besides, she’s not even sure herself, just a bit suspicious, that’s why she’s trying her best to avoid Yun Qi, avoiding being alone whenever possible.
