ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!
ROAR! ROAR! ROAR!
Terrifying beastly roars erged from the altar, echoing throughout the heavens and the earth, causing both to tremble as nurous wielders of Great Divine Power stared wide-eyed. They saw ordinary immortal birds, creatures rely at the Heavenly Immortal or True Immortal Cultivation Level, suddenly burst forth with endless iridescence. Their forms rapidly enlarged as their Cultivation Levels ascended swiftly before their very eyes.
True Immortal. Golden Immortal. Taiyi Golden Immortal. Daluo Golden Immortal!
The river of ti and space shook as one ordinary immortal bird after another was, in the blink of an eye, transford into Great magical god beasts transcending the river of ti itself. This sight left the congregation of Great Divine Power wielders completely dumbfounded.
How is this possible?
Even a Saint or a Taoist Grandmaster couldn’t directly promote an ordinary immortal bird to Daluo Golden Immortal status, let alone so many at once, could they?
We are talking about Daluo Golden Immortals here!
Not only were the wielders of Great Divine Power stunned, but the nearby Lord Taishang, Prival Lord of Heaven, Zhunti, and Jieyin—four Saints—also widened their eyes, dumbstruck. They had thought themselves Saints, exalted on high. Below the Saints, all were as ants. With a re thought, they could know past, present, and future. They could perceive the cycle of causality and Reincarnation. But the scene before them was sothing they could not explain, nor understand.
Not to ntion them, even Taoist Grandmaster Hongjun in the Purple Cloud Palace was extrely astonished, suddenly standing up from his ditation cushion.
How is this possible? he wondered. How was this done?
His profound gaze fixed intently on the altar, his eyes filled with shock and disbelief. This is wrong! Those immortal birds are still getting stronger! Daluo Golden Immortal mid-stage, late-stage, peak... Surely they won’t ascend to the Quasi-Saint level? They’ve ascended to Quasi-Saint! How is this possible? And they’re still getting stronger!
Lord Zhenyuan, Minghe, Haotian, Yaochi, Queen Mother of the West, Kunpeng, and other wielders of Great Divine Power were utterly shocked.
「The next mont.」
They did not hesitate, all of them applying their Divine Skills and flying towards Golden Turtle Island. Even Taoist Grandmaster Hongjun from the Purple Cloud Palace couldn’t stay put any longer and made his way to Golden Turtle Island. When they arrived, they discovered that the immortal birds had already ascended to beco Saints.
"Saints!!!??"
Am I dreaming? one thought.
Ordinary immortal birds have actually ascended to beco Saints?
Have Saints beco as common as Bok Choy?
Haotian, Yaochi, Lord Zhenyuan, and others gasped, their breathing growing rapid. Saints! That was the culmination of their lifelong pursuits. Especially for Lord Zhenyuan. For the sake of a wisp of Hongng Purple Qi, the foundation for achieving Sainthood, his good friend Red Cloud had fallen.
If these ordinary immortal birds can beco Saints, what realm might I ascend to if I were to step up there? the thought flickered through Kunpeng Ancestor’s mind. The realm of Taoist Grandmaster Hongjun, or even surpassing the Taoist Grandmaster? Soon he had his answer, for he saw the auras of those Golden Immortals and Taiyi Golden Immortals continue to soar, in an instant surpassing the Saints and reaching the level of Taoist Grandmaster Hongjun.
"Impossible!" Prival Lord of Heaven refused to believe it. "This must be a trick! Tongtian, what illusion spell have you used?"
He refused to believe that those he regarded as ant-like, contemptible immortal birds could suddenly transform into beings on his level. He was even less willing to accept that those contemptible Golden Immortal and Taiyi Golden Immortal-level immortal birds could directly surpass him. He, a manifestation of Pangu’s Primordial Spirit, had cultivated for countless years, enduring untold hardships to achieve the status of a Saint. So why should these lowly immortal birds have the right to achieve Sainthood, and even surpass Saints?
"I’ll break your illusion spell!"
Unable to accept this reality, Prival Lord of Heaven imdiately brought forth the Innate Treasure, the Pangu Banner. The terrifying Divine Aura and the might of the Innate Treasure swept over the World of Primordial Chaos. Nurous beings trembled, their hearts filled with dread, and they fell prostrate to the ground.
"Break!" Prival Lord of Heaven roared, deploying the "break" essence of the Pangu Banner, ripping through Chaos and splitting ti and space as if capable of creating boundless "Worlds of Primordial Chaos."
"Such is the terror of a Saint’s might!" Haotian, Yaochi, Lord Zhenyuan, Kunpeng, and other wielders of Great Divine Power watched Prival Lord of Heaven’s strike with a mix of trepidation and envy. They too desired to beco Saints, but the sanctified positions were limited; they had no chance at all.
Taoist Grandmaster Hongjun’s gaze was intense; he too wished to see the effect of Prival Lord of Heaven’s strike and whether it would be effective. Was that altar a paper tiger, or did true terror lurk within? This strike would reveal the truth.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The Pangu Banner, enveloping endless destructive power, plumted towards the altar. Everyone watched intently. Whether it was real or illusory, the answer would soon be revealed.
HUM! HUM! HUM!
Under the intense gazes of Hongjun, Lord Taishang, Zhunti, Jieyin, Haotian, Yaochi, and other wielders of Great Divine Power, the Pangu Banner collided with the altar. However, there was no earth-shattering impact. The mont the Pangu Banner touched the altar, it seed to lose all its power, shrinking to the size of a small flag and falling onto the altar.
Simultaneously, Prival Lord of Heaven spat out a mouthful of fresh blood, his complexion ashen. His connection with the Pangu Banner had been severed in an instant, and he suffered a backlash.
Seeing this, Haotian, Yaochi, and the other wielders of Great Divine Power were horrified beyond asure. That was a Saint exerting full power with an Innate Treasure in a single strike, powerful enough to pierce through the World of Primordial Chaos! Yet it fell upon this modest altar only to vanish like a clay ox into the sea, even causing a backlash. This altar was too terrifying.
But what was even more frightening were the figures on the altar: Nuwa, Golden Spirit Saint Mother, Turtle Spirit Saintess, Wudang Saintess, and San Xiao. Among them, Nuwa was the most dazzling. She was originally at the Saint level. At this mont, the aura about her had already surpassed that of Taoist Grandmaster Hongjun, reaching a terrifying realm beyond their imagination. Endless rosy light surrounded her, the Path of Creation surged, and a world of creation comparable to the World of Primordial Chaos evolved beside her.
The terrifying presence made even Taoist Grandmaster Hongjun feel fear. He couldn’t even bring forth the thought of resisting. It seed as if Nuwa, with just a thought, could erase him from existence. Even his union with the Heavenly Dao of Primordial Chaos was of no use. Not to ntion Nuwa; he felt that even Golden Spirit Saint Mother, Turtle Spirit Saintess, and Wudang Saintess had all surpassed him by an entire major realm. They could easily annihilate him.
He wasn’t mistaken—Golden Spirit Saint Mother and the others had reached the Venerable Realm, while he was only comparable to a Supre One. As for Nuwa, she had reached the terrifying Sovereign Realm.
What kind of magnificent and formidable power is this? Hongjun’s heart was shaken, excited yet fearful. What kind of existence is the Lord of Hongng, anyway? No wonder Tongtian would worship him! In his presence, even I am no different from a mortal, let alone Tongtian and the others! He was excited because he saw that there was an incredibly long path ahead in the future, yet fearful because the other party was too terrifying. He didn’t know whether it was a blessing or a curse for him.
Tongtian is worshipping the Lord of Hongng, Kunpeng Ancestor’s eyes blazed with eagerness. If Tongtian sacrifices , wouldn’t I directly beco a being that surpasses the Taoist Grandmaster? His power was sowhat stronger than that of Golden Spirit Saint Mother and the others, second only to the Saint Nuwa on the altar. If Golden Spirit Saint Mother and the others had all surpassed Hongjun, he was certain he could too. And even ordinary immortal birds could be sacrificed. As Kunpeng, how could he not qualify?
Not only was Kunpeng’s heart ablaze, but other wielders of Great Divine Power felt the sa. There was a shortcut right in front of them. Why not take it? They made up their minds that once Tongtian’s sacrifice was complete, they would ask to see if they could also follow Tongtian in worshipping the Lord of Hongng.
BOOM!
Suddenly, a thunderclap exploded, compelling everyone to involuntarily look up. Their pupils constricted, their bodies turning icy cold. The sky had split open! The firmant was torn asunder by a thunderbolt, boundless and vast, like the gaping maw of an abyss. Fear spread from the depths of their hearts; their legs trembled, and a chill ran down their spines.
DONG.
Suddenly, a sound resonated—like a great bell, a grand musical tone, the very music of the Great Path itself. All who heard this sound felt their fear and unease vanish, replaced by imnse satisfaction and joyous expressions. Divine lights spread from the pitch-black fissure in the abyss, dispelling the darkness, lighting up the stars, and warming hearts. All involuntarily looked up, seeing the endless divine light spread, forming a Golden Light Path.
Following that, the golden light surged, and it seed as though wonderful music of the Path echoed between heaven and earth—as if creation itself was cheering, as if the starry sky was welcoming.
Under everyone’s astounded gaze, a point of pure white holy light appeared. Following that, the holy light spread, dyeing the sky a snow-white brilliance, as if purifying all filth from the world.
An exquisitely majestic and peerless figure stepped forth upon the Golden Light Path. She was enveloped in holy light, her long hair and garnts fluttering, her stunning beauty breathtaking. No one could describe her beauty. No one could capture her grace. She seed the very embodint of perfection, a celestial beauty unparalleled, a beauty without equal in all eras.
And the mont they saw her, Taoist Grandmaster Hongjun, Lord Taishang, Prival Lord of Heaven, Zhunti, Jieyin, Haotian, Yaochi, Lord Zhenyuan, Minghe, Kunpeng, Queen Mother of the West, and all other wielders of Great Divine Power turned to stone. They were stunned as if petrified, their eyes wide with disbelief, filled with incredulity and boundless curiosity. For this peerless goddess too closely resembled that most radiant figure upon the altar—not just in appearance and temperant, but even the Path she wielded seed nearly identical.
Hongjun’s eyes widened even further, his pupils shrinking as he cried out in astonishnt, "Nuwa!"
