Julian made arrangents for Anastasia’s traveling even when she’d refused to give him reasons why she wanted to go back to Radiantia.
After a deep thinking, he concluded she wanted to go back to her husband and family. However, she didn’t look as happy as he’d thought she would be which only confused him further.
It wasn’t difficult to give Anastasia a new identity without Xander noticing anything odd because of her face. Every feature looked different except for her eyes which were still as pale blue as ever.
"This is your passport," Julian stretched down the little book across the dining table.
Anastasia took it and opened it. Her gaze first fell on the na Jennifer Reyez. It was odd at first but understandable because she needed to change her identity and live with that identity if she didn’t want to get caught.
Going with Anastasia Wallace was a suicidal mission. Selene Jones was not bad but it could easily be linked back to her and her real identity would be busted. So she decided to go with Jennifer Reyez with a change of date of birth.
Sothing always whispered in her ears she was going to regret her decision, but Anastasia always paid deaf to those warnings.
She has her reasons and she could only hope her reasons wouldn’t fail her.
"Thank you for this," she replied, opening the other pages.
"We’ll fly to Radiantia tomorrow," Julian said, and Anastasia nodded. He then turned to Emma, who had been quiet throughout dinner, sulking because she had begged to tag along, only for her father to object imdiately, citing school as the reason.
"Your uncle Alex will stay here for the anti and play with you whenever you want," Julian added, trying to cheer her up. But Emma’s shoulders only drooped further in disappointnt.
"Okay, fine," Julian relented with a sigh. "I promise, the next ti I go back, I’ll take you with ."
Emma first gave her father a side glance then slowly gave a nod.
"Don’t forget," she added but it sounded more like a threat.
A smile stretched on Anastasia’s lips when she heard the girl. She hadn’t seen Emma’s mother walking around or anything and could only wonder what happened to the woman. Also, she felt sothing must have happened. However, it would be too inappropriate to ask Julian about it. It could strike a nerve.
When dinner was finished, Anastasia thanked the nanny and went back to her room. It’s been a few days since she said she wanted to go to Radiantia, her exercise was getting more intense and she could finally walk, but slowly of course so she wouldn’t trip.
Julian had gotten her a phone so she could get to know more about herself from social dia since she was a big star once.
There was much to Google since there was a lot she needed to rember. Her mories kept coming back bit by bit but nothing regarding her life while she was in a relationship could resurface in her mory again.
Anastasia sighed as she closed and reopened her eyes.
The days seed to fly by, yet each ti Anastasia found herself alone in her room, her mind betrayed her, wandering back to the horrors of her ti at the house. The mories ca back too vividly, haunting her so much that even the thought of closing her eyes and surrendering to sleep filled her with dread.
As for going to Radiantia, she only wanted to visit that place and see if she could rember anything while hoping she never bumped into Xavier Wallace.
And again, Michelle’s words rang in her ears.
When everything was becoming too suffocating, she left for the patio where she could get so fresh air.
The night was cold but she didn’t bother to take any blanket along with her.
Radiantia
She was going back to her hotown. A cold shiver ran down her spine, making goosebumps rise on her skin, but she endured it.
The next day,
Both Anastasia and Julian went to the airport. This was Anastasia’s first ti heading sowhere in Xattlewood without her vision being restricted.
Her heart thumped against her chest, terrified that soone working for Xander would recognize her. Just to be careful, she covered her face with a scarf and passed through the checkpoint.
Everything went smoothly until they boarded their plane.
It was the next day they arrived in Radiantia.
As Anastasia graced the floor with her feet, the feeling of nostalgia hit her.
No one paid attention to her face, which only ant her looks were truly deceiving enough.
She turned to Julian who gave her a small smile.
"Do you want to visit the Wallace enterprise? I’m sure your husband will be head over heels when he sees you," he tried to convince her.
Anastasia inhaled and then exhaled heavily.
"I’ll go there but just to look at him for a few minutes. Then I’ll go to the Clark mansion—"
Anastasia paused when she saw a familiar face at the airport but couldn’t quite rember where she’d seen that face before.
Julian followed her gaze and his eyes landed on a woman who was dragging her luggage along with her as she headed for the exit. He recognized that person imdiately.
"That’s Tracie Clark, your sister," he said.
With the help of social dia, Anastasia was able to discover her real parents when she was still in Xattlewood.
Looking at Tracie now urged her to go hug the woman for she’d finally seen a family mber after so long.
All of a sudden, Tracie turned with the feeling that soone was watching her. She scanned around until her eyes landed on a woman who wore a scarf to hide half of her face.
Tracie stared at the woman, making sure to keep eye contact until the woman turned away. She narrowed her eyes at the woman, wondering why she would possibly be looking at her like that.
She was already in a bad mood and didn’t want so stranger adding salt to it.
Then she turned and left.
