He couldn’t calmly watch as the vice president stood on stage and bragged about the newborn baby in his family when he hadn’t finished all his paynts he had to make on that particular baby.

The smile on the vice president imdiately faltered when he recognized Xander. He’d wanted to ask his wife to bring out the newborn baby so everyone could see, but now that Xander was around, he stopped himself from making such a decision.

His wife’s smile faltered into a terrifying look when she also saw Xander because she recognized him.

"Go keep an eye on the baby and make sure no one you don’t know cos close to him," he ordered. The wife gave a brief nod to show she understood his words. She flashed the guests a quick smile before the stage.

Xander saw the wife leaving, and he couldn’t help but release a chuckle.

"That bastard only paid fifty million dollars for that baby," Xander said through gritted teeth, Julian close to him to hear his words. "He still has more to pay. I don’t even know why Bruce agreed to give him the child when he hadn’t completed his paynt," he added with a long sigh, taking another sip from his glass.

"Let guess, you beca impatient and decided to gatecrash his party to ask him for your remaining money?"

Xander didn’t respond as his eyes focused on the vice president who’d already t his gaze and had beco quite cautious ever since.

"Is it wrong if I want to get what’s mine?" Xander questioned back. When he saw Mr. Belbvet leaving the party, he quickly added, "I’m going to talk to him, that’s if he agrees for us to talk."

"And when you co back, we can talk about Anastasia," said Julian, causing Xander to frown at him with an unfathomable expression.

Nevertheless, Xander didn’t wait for Julian to explain his words. He quickly followed behind the old man.

Mr. Belbvet already sensed soone was following him, but he didn’t need to look back to know who it was.

"You’d better get rid of all those ideas of yours before you do sothing that you might regret, Vlarie," said Mr. Belbvet.

Xander despised being addressed by that last na. Although he was adopted by Bruce and had to carry that last na, he didn’t quite admire that last na at all.

"Are you talking to or yourself?" Xander questioned.

He glanced around, checking for any CCTV caras and only found one. But from its position and lack of any glimring red light, it didn’t seem to be active to record any footage.

"You owe Mr. Belbvet," he said. "Just pay up already. I don’t run so kind of shitty charity. You ca to with your wife, explaining that you two couldn’t bear a child and I only assisted you out. And now, this?"

Xander sounded rather more frustrated by the event than he was more to beat up the man and threaten him to give him his money if he had to.

Mr. Belbvet rely laughed, his wrinkles folding around the corners of his eyes.

"Fifty million dollars isn’t a small amount of money, Xander. I paid you more than anyone would have. Don’t be greedy now."

Xander clicked his tongue in annoyance, understanding that the vice president wasn’t going to easily give him his money.

"In that case, you shouldn’t be bothered if the whole internet found out about the huge amount of money you stole from your people all in the na of tax."

Xander was tempted to threaten him about revealing how he’d suddenly gotten a son from out of nowhere but that would only make Xavier realize his only kind of business wasn’t sex trafficking.

Mr. Belbvet scoffed. "You wouldn’t do anything, Xander. I’m not owing you any shit!"

"Then why were you afraid of all of a sudden? Aren’t you the great Mr. Belbvet that’s loved by everyone in Glamourwood but not everyone knows what kinds of things you’ve been getting yourself into." Xander sighed, rubbing his head in frustration. All he wanted was his money but the old man was making him talk longer than he expected to.

"You don’t have any evidence!" Mr. Belbvet yelled, and Xander realized he’d hit a soft spot.

A smirk played on his lips as he took a step closer to Mr. Belbvet. "I only want my money."

Mr. Belbvet ignored him and turned to leave, but was imdiately stopped in his tracks by Xander who pulled him back with the help of his suit.

"If I rember correctly, I didn’t stutter and I supposed you heard very well."

"You should know whom you’re putting your hands against. I’m the vice—"

Mr. Belbvet didn’t get the chance to finish that sentence when he suddenly felt an excruciating pain that surged through his body, shocking him to the extent that he stumbled backward a few tis until he found his bearing.

"Since you want it the difficult way, I’ll give you that!"

Xander pulled out a syringe and stabbed it into his neck. The man struggled to fight Xander off and call for help, but the latter quickly shielded his mouth with his palm to prevent him from doing so.

Slowly, the vice president of Glamourwood fell to the ground with a thud not heavy enough to alert anybody.

Xander quickly dragged Mr. Belbvet’s unconscious body to a corner where no one would be able to see him. Then, he fetched his phone from his pocket and hastily fired a few texts.

"You think just because you’re so scary person in the underground world, I would be afraid of you and not ask you for my money?" He questioned the unconscious body. "You should know that’s not how things work."

He hissed in disappointnt while slightly shaking his head horizontally.

The people Xander contacted quickly ca and took the vice president away without anyone spotting them or even suspecting a thing.
