Xander walked toward Arabella and she quickly handed him a towel to wipe his body clean.

"That was a nice goal you scored there," she complinted. She’d seen just as everyone what had occurred in the field and it did nothing but make her worry even more just how deeply his relationship with Xavier had deteriorated.

"Thanks..." he murmured, leaning in to plant a quick kiss on her cheek. Her skin flushed with a soft, warm glow. They’d been acting closer than usual lately, and by now, they were sure the whole school had noticed the shift in their relationship.

"About that...are you and Xavier..." she drawled. She didn’t want to interfere in their argunt but she feared that one day, the twins would completely stop talking to each other.

"It’s nothing," he quickly said as he sipped from the bottled water she handed to him.

It was obvious it wasn’t nothing. Despite not wanting to, she dropped the subject.

From a further distance, soone took a picture of the couple and made an imdiate phone call.

"Boss, I’ve sent you the picture," the person quickly said as they left the scene.

Mr Wallace was in his office at the Wallace enterprise. He hung up on the call with Xander’s driver and quickly checked the picture the man had just sent to him.

Just as Bruce had said, Xander did seem to have a little soone in his life.

He’d decided not to bother himself with whatever Xander was up to. However, he was still his son, and if the latter did sothing unspeakable, he would have to be the one to clean up the ss later on.

He’d always cleaned up after the boy’s ss and he was tired of doing so.

If only there was a way to get rid of him, he would have chosen that path without batting an eyelash.

His eyes scanned through the photo and took in the postures and how the girl was dressed.

From afar, with her platinum blonde hair, one would think she was from so influential family. However, Mr Wallace knew too well that looks could be very deceiving.

He cropped out the picture and sent it to a particular person with a task to find out information about the certain girl.

A few minutes later, his phone dinged with a notification, and he picked it up in a flash of lightning.

When his eyes settled on the information he received from the unknown person, his expression imdiately turned sour and ugly, with a hint of disappointnt laced in them.

His eyes darkened further when he saw the hellhole of a house she was living in. Out of rage, Mr Wallace slamd his fist on the table, causing the objects on it to shake from the impact.

"She’s a nobody," he mumbled through gritted teeth.

As an influential and powerful man, he only wanted people who were just as influential and powerful to hang around him and his family.

Although he was one of the most influential in Radiantia and beyond, he was still greedy and wanted to be the number one.

And now, his useless son was associating himself with a nobody—a complete nobody.

He had wondered why Xander was all smiles the previous night, and how he knew why. The latter had gotten himself a girlfriend.

If she was from a powerful background, then he wouldn’t hesitate to finally acknowledge Xander. But no! His unfilial child just had to go do what he does best—disappoint Mr Wallace.

The man gnashed his teeth together as he tried to co up with ways he could destroy their relationship because there was no way he was letting a classless girl hang around his son.

Back in the stadium, the ga had already resud and Arabella decided to go use the restroom.

When she was about to leave, she saw Fiona, the most popular girl in their school from earlier, whispering sothing in the ears of one of her girls as they sized her up before laughing again.

Arabella sighed, unable to keep quiet this ti around. It was obvious they were gossiping about her, and there was no way she was going to keep quiet about it this ti.

"Do you have a problem with ?" Arabella questioned with arms folded around her chest. "Because to , it seems you have a problem."

Fiona shot up one eyebrow in question as she sized the Arabella figure one more ti.

"Did you guys hear sothing just now?" Fiona asked her girls whose faces were so dolled up it seed they used all the foundation in every costic factory. "Is there another fly buzzing around here?" Fiona continued to ask as she glanced around to find this supposed fly.

Arabella simply stared at her with a faint smile on her lips.

"I know you’re the one that sent that text last night. So, since I’m right here in front of you, why don’t you tell exactly what you want? Who knows, I might be willing to fulfill it."

Fiona was slightly flabbergasted when Arabella already caught up she was the one who’d sent her the text. However, she didn’t bother denying it.

"Are you willing to leave him alone?" Fiona asked with an expectant expression, hoping Arabella would hold true to her words. "You know you don’t deserve him. He’s so out of your league. I’m the one that deserves to be his girlfriend."

"Yet, he didn’t choose you." Arabella’s words felt like a slap that’d been gifted to Fiona’s cheeks. "I an, for you to follow us about the previous night just shows how desperate you are. Sadly, you’re not Xander’s type."

"You little...."

"Don’t think because you’re from an influential family, I won’t hesitate to slap you in the face," Arabella warned, which got not only Fiona’s girls but Fiona herself to flinch in fear. "That text you sent was not only childish, but it also shows how empty that skull of yours is. How old are you, 12? Grow up!"
