"Wake up!!" Anastasia heard soone yell in her ears, startling her awake as she jumped off the bed in fright, her heart hamring in her chest as her eyes landed on the strange girl she’d t the previous night.

"What? What is it?" Anastasia asked, glaring at the strange girl.

"You seed to have been enjoying your sleep so much, I decided to wake you up so Samantha wouldn’t be the one to do that. You should thank , you know. If she’d been the one to wake you up, you would have been dragged to that dark room and tortured for being tardy," the strange girl blabbed about, getting down from the bed through the attached wooden ladder on the bunk bed.

Anastasia grabbed her head, feeling the familiar headache resurface due to the strange girl’s loud voice.

She glanced around the room, noticing the little light that spilled through the curtains, which made the room look brighter than the previous night she’d arrived.

"You never said your na," Anastasia suddenly remarked, her voice calm but curious. The strange girl, who had been heading toward the tiny door that looked like it led to a bathroom, stopped in her tracks. She hesitated for a mont, her hand hovering over the doorknob before slowly turning to face Anastasia, her expression unreadable.

"I’m Angelina," the strange girl replied, and Anastasia couldn’t help but take in her hair which had only gotten worse.

"Well, Angelina. That Samantha woman said I won’t be joining any of your tasks for the next three da—"

"And three days are going to pass like a flash and then you’ll join us. This place is hell, Anastasia. So if you know what’s good for you, you’d better not think you’re treated specially. You’ll still end up living the sa lives we’ve lived here."

Angelina gave Anastasia a stiff smile that didn’t reach her eyes before she entered the bathroom.

Anastasia completely understood what Angelina ant by her words. However, she didn’t want to wait until that mont.

Also, she had no idea what was in store for her. But from the way Angelina looked at her with eyes filled with pity, it could never be sothing good.

A few minutes after Angelina was done taking her bath, Anastasia jumped right in. Then walked towards the small sized closet which was filled with plenty of ragged clothes that weren’t suitable for wearing at all. Unfortunately for her, she had to make do with what she had.

As soon as Anastasia was done wearing her clothes, the door suddenly banged open, startling the two girls inside.

"What are two still doing here? Didn’t you hear the bell?!" Samantha bellowed, glaring at the both of them as if they were so piece of dirt.

"We’re sorry, Samantha. It won’t happen again," Angelina apologized, her head lowered ekly in defeat.

Anastasia followed suit, not wanting to cause trouble and make things more difficult than it already was.

Samantha continued to glare at the both of them before she said, "I’ll let you go this ti around. But the next ti you turn tardy, I will make you wish you didn’t."

Then she left, expecting them to follow behind her.

As they walked out of the room, Anastasia found Michelle glaring at her with a sly smirk on her lips. Then she rembered what Xander ordered the both of them to do to her.

"Don’t you think we should starve her so that belly fat can be reduced?" Michelle suddenly spoke, making Samantha halt. "Instead of giving her only vegetables which will make it only bigger."

"Xander left in charge of her, and you don’t need to tell what to do," Samantha retorted, mirroring Michelle’s glare.

"It seems to you’re forgetting I’m in this house because Xander wants to make her life a living hell," Michelle retorted back and then gasped suddenly. "And to warm his bed of course."

Samantha stared at Michelle with a plain expression, itching to smack the latter across the face. But she didn’t want to stain her palm so early in the morning.

Anastasia glanced between the both of them and could already sense they despised each other.

Samantha didn’t say anything anymore to Michelle. She simply left and they followed behind her to what looked like the dining table.

The table was already filled with at least twenty girls, all looking weak and empty.

When Samantha sat on her chair which was at the end of the dining table, their eyes settled on her.

"This is Anastasia, she will be joining us," Samantha introduced and the eyes of all the girls ca to settle on Anastasia.

Their eyes looked so hollow Anastasia nearly thought there was no life in them.

Angelina and Anastasia went to take their seat to eat their breakfast. And when her eyes settled on the food on the plate, she nearly barfed in disgust.

"What is it?" Samantha snapped.

"Are we going to eat this?" Anastasia asked, feeling the eyes of the other girls on her. "It looks disgusting." Instantly, Anastasia regretted what she’d said because she felt Angelina’s hands on her lap, signaling her to stop talking.

"What did you just say?" Samantha questioned, on her feet this ti around as she walked towards Anastasia.

"It’s nothing," she mumbled weakly.

However, Samantha didn’t let it go. She stared at the plate of cold vegetables and poured it on Anastasia’s body which caused the latter to imdiately stand up and adjust her seat backwards.

"You’ve only just arrived yesterday and you’re turned picky. Do you think this is a restaurant where you can order whatever you like?" Samantha questioned her, taking the glass of water and emptying every last drop on her.

"I told you she would be difficult to handle," Michelle spoke from completely out of nowhere. "You should have just left her in my care and you can take care of the other girls."

"Stay out of this Michelle!"

"I an she lost her mories and can’t rember a single thing about herself. She doesn’t even know she had a miscarriage in the accident that brought her here to us," Michelle finished, ignoring Samantha’s warnings.
