Viviana was forced to take a few steps back due to how loud Xavier was.
She had co to the hotel after overhearing Anastasia’s call with Xavier earlier, her plan clear: seduce him and tear apart Anastasia’s family, just as Anastasia had done to hers. But now, caught before even stepping foot into the room, fear gripped her. Her mind raced as she realized she had no idea what would happen next.
"I-I didn’t do anything, I promise. I only c-ca here because...I..." she stuttered, unable to find the right words to use to complete her sentence.
"You’re starting to piss off," Anastasia yelled, rage evident in her expression as she glared hard at Viviana who was internally wishing ti would just rewind and Anastasia wasn’t present at the mont.
The hotel was a huge one, and people were walking on the floor they were on, stealing glances at the scene but didn’t dare to stop to watch since Xavier Wallace was involved.
"Get out of here now!" Anastasia demanded, already feeling out of breath which was new.
Viviana sucked in her rage and regret, most especially her rage since Anastasia had to pop out of nowhere and ruin her plans.
"Don’t touch !" Viviana tried to yank her wrist from the bodyguards, but it was to no avail.
Swiftly, they pooled her away.
Anastasia heaved a huge amount of air as she watched Viviana leave her presence with the bodyguards, her heart thumping hard in her chest.
All of a sudden, the urge to throw up surfaced again.
Quickly, she rushed inside the bedroom and headed for the bathroom then threw her guts out into the basin, surprising Xavier.
Gently, he pulled her hair away so it wouldn’t soak in her vomit.
"You’ve been looking sick for the past few days now. We need to go to the hospital," he said, his voice sounding gentle and demanding at the sa ti.
Anastasia shook her head.
"It’s just stress. My workload just increased since I resud acting. I’ll be fine." She tried to force a smile, but it ca out weak and unconvincing.
"We’re going to the hospital. Now."
Anastasia tried to blink her eyes open but they suddenly turned heavy.
"Xavier..." She breathed, collapsing on his chest and he caught her swiftly.
"Ana!! Ana!!" Xavier called out to her, but she didn’t open her eyes.
Curing under his breath, he quickly gathered her in his arms and rushed out of the room, barking out orders to the bodyguards who’d already arrived after getting rid of Viviana.

At the hospital,
Anastasia fluttered her eyes open, only to be t with the blinding glare of bright lights shining directly on her face. Squinting in discomfort, she quickly closed her eyes again, letting them adjust to the harsh brightness before slowly opening them once more, her vision gradually becoming clearer.
After adjusting, she searched for the one person that ca to her mind, only to find him on the couch opposite her, an unreadable expression plastered on his face.
"Xavier... What’s wrong? What am I doing at the hospital?" She asked as he stood up and settled on the seat next to the hospital bed.
Xavier reached for her locks that ca over her face and gently moved them away, his fingers gently caressing her cheeks without answering her question.
"You scared earlier," he said, releasing a sigh of relief which only confused her further.
Before she could part her lips to repeat her question, the door pushed open with Tracie and a female doctor coming inside.
"Mr. Wallace. It’s a good thing you’re awake now," the doctor said as Tracie ca to her other side, holding her left palm gently as if she were so delicate piece of art that needed to be held with care.
Anastasia turned to Tracie, an eyebrow cocked in question as she stared at the latter’s pleasant face—her lips stretching further into her cheeks as her eyes turned into a crescent moon.
Anastasia stared at Xavier, and his face seed to glow.
"What’s wrong doc?" Anastasia asked this ti with worry evident in her tone since she had no idea why her husband and sister were smiling as if she was so kind of treasure.
"I ran a test on you when your husband here explained the symptoms you’ve been getting for the past few days. And well, congrats Mrs. Wallace, you’re pregnant."
Anastasia choked on her saliva when she heard the doctor which led her to coughing roughly.
Xavier quickly brought so water to her side and helped her drink it, patting her back gently.
"You should be careful," he scolded.
Anastasia drank the water to her fill before she faced the doctor again.
"One more ti please?"
"You’re pregnant."
"Can you pinch so I can be sure I’m not dreaming?" She asked, facing Tracie this ti around.
"Co on. This is good news and you want to joke around. You’re pregnant sis, you’re carrying baby niece or nephew!!"
Anastasia turned to Xavier, a smile stretching on her face, her blue eyes eting his dark ones and for a second there, she felt as if the ti had stopped.
Xavier placed his hands on her belly. "We’ll have a little Anastasia soon."
A string of tears fell from her eyes, running through her cheeks before they dropped onto the bed, extre happiness filling her chest she didn’t know it was possible to experience.
After finding her true family, getting everything that had once belonged to her, and getting rid of her enemies, Anastasia thought that was the highest level of happiness for her.
But now....Now, there was a living human inside of her, growing until one day she could finally see the face.
She placed a hand on her belly, her hand covering Xavier’s.
"I’m pregnant."
She wrapped her hands around his and buried her face in his shoulder as tears of happiness flowed from her eyes uncontrollably.
The doctor sensed the couple would need so alone ti. So, she decided to co back later.
Tracie followed behind her, giving them the privacy they needed.
