Robert stared at the Clark building, steeling himself for the upcoming eting with Jeffery Clark and his son. His nose still ached from the punch Ezekiel had delivered, and he hoped to leave the building without any more blood oozing from his body or any broken bones.
He wanted to persuade them into signing half of their properties into his na and this ti, he wanted to succeed. Michelle was already bothering him so much about how the plan was going and he didn’t want to disappoint her.
He didn’t want to disappoint himself as well since half of the Clark wealth was more than enough to grow his company, build another one in another city and buy as many houses as he wanted.
After releasing a huge sigh, Robert stepped down from his car and headed towards the entrance of the Clark building.
As soon as he was about to step foot into the building, he was imdiately stopped by the security guards who stared at him with a scrutinizing gaze that made him subconsciously gulp down his saliva in fear.
"Excuse , Mr. Harrison, but you are not allowed in this building," he said, which earned him a deep frown from Robert.
"What’s that supposed to an?" Robert asked, confusion etched on his face.
’Could they have forbidden entry to the Clark building?’ He wondered.
Neither the father nor son had bothered to contact him to ask for more information about their missing family mber, so Robert couldn’t help but feel like they didn’t care much about her anymore.
It’s been more than two decades anyway, they could have probably moved on from her disappearance and don’t want to bother themselves with finding her anymore. And the fact they had to sacrifice half of their family’s assets just made them more reluctant. Robert thought so.
But he needed their property. This parent’s money he’d stolen from Anastasia was more than enough to last him till the day he said goodbye to the wind. But Robert was too greedy and wanted more even when there was risk involved.
"That’s impossible! I have to talk to Mr. Clark and his son," he tried to force his way to him, but the bulky security guards didn’t let him in. They didn’t block the entrance but stood by the side, daring Robert to step foot in and face the consequences later.
Robert understood their ssage clearly. He was desperate, but not desperate enough to get himself beaten up.
"That was an order from Mr. Clark himself, sir," the other replied.
Robert’s blood boiled in anger. People were already starting to glance at them, wondering what was happening.
To protect his reputation, he took a step back, retreating.
’I will just have to visit their mansion so other ti,’ Robert thought to himself.
He cursed at the security guards under his breath before he turned and left the entrance, heading to his car.
When Robert’s car zood away, one of the security guards sent a text.
In Jeffery’s office, Ezekiel sat on the chair opposite his father. He received a text from the security guards downstairs. When he read the text, he couldn’t help but scoff.
"Robert paid a visit to the company but the security guards downstairs restricted him," he inford his father who seed to be deep in thought. "Father," Ezekiel shook Jeffery imdiately, driving him out of his thoughts.
"I’m just worried about how Ana could be doing right now."
"About that. My n went to the Harrison mansion to snoop around, but they didn’t have any daughters living with them in the mansion. It was just Mr Harrison, his wife, and his son. The other one is already married so she’s staying at her in-law’s place. They asked the maids to describe her and they replied, she has blue eyes and black wavy hair like that’s enough to help us," he vented out.
It wasn’t difficult to find any woman who had blue eyes and black wavy hair at all. He could find them in the modeling industry, on the sidewalk, in convenience stores, etc...
"So, she’s not living in the Harrison mansion? Where could she be?" Jeffery asked.
"I’m not sure either, father. Robert must be hiding her from us for sure. The strangest part is that I can’t find anything about her on social dia. It’s like she disappeared from the face of the earth. Robert doesn’t have that much power to do that, soone powerful is helping him for sure," he explained.
Jeffery released a tired sigh. With each passing day that he failed to find his missing daughter, his worry for her grew.
Robert said he took care of her, but he doubted that.
"But you don’t have to worry father, I will find her," he promised. "Have you inford mother about this yet?" He asked hesitantly.
Jeffery shook his head. "I don’t want to worry her until we find her."
"That’s the best for now. I can only hope she’s able to take the news even though it’s a good one," said Ezekiel.
He recalled how devastated his mother had beco when they couldn’t find Ava, and he hoped finding her would make her feel better.

A few more days passed and Selene had completely recovered to resu shooting again.
Director Jax was better than what Selene had imagined. He was strict but also careful of the stunts they had to perform. If it was too risky for both the actors and stunt double, it would imdiately be removed from the scene.
Selene continued with her movie and made so ti to visit the orphanage when she was able to, while Xavier continued with his work.
Selene hadn’t heard from Michelle since the day she hit her with her crutches. Everything seed to be going way too well for Selene. Her days were smooth, her plans were falling into place, and she felt an unusual sense of peace. Yet, deep down, she couldn’t shake the feeling that it was the calm before the storm.
