The speed of seizing the armory was too fast. When the young man with clear eyes led his n to capture several warehouses, a considerable portion of the Rebel Army hadn’t even arrived at the scene yet.

After all, from an individual perspective, nearly ten thousand people is not a small number.

Two people standing one ter apart could form a five-kiloter-long dragon.

So under conditions where communication basically relied on shouting, the Rebel Army’s actions relied more on self-initiative, and there was really no command to speak of.

The young man with clear eyes was also well aware of this, so the mont he led people into the armory, he tried to find so military communication equipnt to use.

Unfortunately, these warehouses did not store that type of functional equipnt.

This was actually not surprising.

In fact, this forward base had been established for less than three days, and most of the ti had been spent settling the civilians returning to the surface. Much equipnt, including heavy weapons, hadn’t been put into operation yet.

The armory currently stored mostly crates of assault rifles and ammunition, with very few individual grenade launchers.

However, seizing the armory was a pleasant surprise anyway, so they couldn’t demand too much.

With so many firearms, at least they could ensure every mber of this Rebel Army got one.

“Brother Wang, co take a quick look at this. What is it?”

Soone in the warehouse shouted.

“What’s the matter?” The middle-aged man with glasses called Brother Wang ran over.

“Brother Wang, take a look at this thing. We don’t recognize it.”

Several young Rebel Army mbers surrounded a half-ter-tall cylindrical device. Not recognizing it, they didn’t dare touch it randomly, fearing it might explode if they mishandled it.

Brother Wang adjusted his thick glasses and examined the markings on the device. Suddenly, his eyes lit up: “This is a good thing.”

“Brother Wang, co over to our side and take a look.”

Firearms were easy to recognize, but for other equipnt, non-professionals had no clue how to use them.

There was no way around it; the City Association wouldn’t announce equipnt situations, and ordinary civilians had no ans to access such information.

“Alright, I’ll co right over.”

Brother Wang replied toward the direction where soone had called him, then stood up and said to the several Rebel Army mbers around the cylindrical device: “Carry this to Commander Zhang. Rember to handle it gently.”

With that, Brother Wang hurried off to identify the next unfamiliar piece of equipnt.

The young man with clear eyes, also known as Commander Zhang, was now standing outside the armory gate, holding a semi-automatic rifle.

He watched the Rebel Army mbers constantly coming in and out, calculating the ti.

“Go notify everyone: last chance, ten more minutes to arm yourselves. After ten minutes, we move out imdiately.”

As he spoke, he turned to look toward the center of the forward base, silently clenching his fist as if motivating himself: “Let’s break into the City Association!”

……

Rat-tat-tat! Rat-tat-tat!

In front of the Managent Committee Office, dense gunfire ford an airtight net. No matter how many corpses were left behind, no one could reach within ten ters of the building’s gate.

So in the rioting crowd chose to switch targets and quietly retreat, but soon new batches of civilians would fill in.

Humanity inherently carries violent tendencies deep in its bones. Once provoked, they naturally need an outlet.

Moreover, without witnessing the killing firsthand, the surging hot blood wouldn’t cool down easily.

“I don’t believe it. Do they have infinite ammunition or what?”

A bearded middle-aged man in a cheap tank top hid behind cover and spat.

“Do you want to be heroes for a mont or cowards for life?”

Without checking who responded, he inspected the bullets in his gun, then stood up and roared: “Those not afraid of death, follow !”

Inside the Managent Committee Office.

A well-dressed staff mber hunched over, cautiously peeking outside, and muttered: “Here they co again. What’s wrong with these rioters?”

Around him were more staff, also squatting on the ground with hunched shoulders; so were trembling in fear.

“It’s fine, it’s fine. These rioters can’t get in.”

“We have a fully ard guard platoon on our side.”

The staff comforted each other, as if that was the only way to feel safe.

However, the guard platoon responsible for security soon sent word for the staff to break out with them, because ammunition was running low and they couldn’t hold out much longer.

“No way, isn’t the guard platoon’s job to surround the Managent Committee Office? Are they turning into deserters?!”

This news imdiately enraged one staff mber: “And what are those ard forces doing? Why are they dragging their feet? Haven’t they co to suppress the riot after all this ti?”

He appeared furious, but anyone could see he was just terrified.

The shouts of killing outside were deafening. Staying in the Managent Committee Office was already nerve-wracking; now having to break out with the guard platoon was even more dangerous.

Of course, while many staff had lost their normal thinking due to fear, so smart ones knew exactly what to do.

They quickly went to follow the guards’ arrangents, preparing to break out.

Facing ordinary civilians, the City Association’s firepower could ensure safety as long as ammunition wasn’t short.

Boom!

Boom!!!

Several high-explosive grenades cleared the way, followed by smoke grenades releasing thick smoke to block vision.

Seizing the opportunity, over thirty soldiers orderly withdrew from the building, escorting the staff with important information in the middle of the group.

The numbers also showed that the civilians’ assault on the Managent Committee Office had inflicted minimal casualties on the guard platoon so far.

Without the ammunition issue, they could have held until the civilians collapsed on their own.

The breakout started smoothly, but they hadn’t gone far before incoming bullets pinned them down.

“Hahaha, I knew it. If you wanted to run, you’d definitely co this way.”

A youth hid behind cover, raising his gun over his head with both hands, holding the trigger down without letting go.

This firing thod had almost no accuracy, but it was safe.

A staff mber clutching important information was hit in the arm by a ricochet and urgently urged: “What are you doing? Hurry and rush out!”

The guard platoon’s platoon leader ignored the staff. Holding position and breaking out were worlds apart in difficulty.

Especially now, surrounded by rioters from all sides, they had no extra energy to worry about the staff.
