The maids hurried to clean the place as a fast as possible, line of maids were usually at the other side, prepared in case of any spilled drink or ss to clear up.
Queen Diana’s face paled slightly as she did not expect this at all.
"It’s okay, my queen. We all make mistakes," King Zoltar spoke, as the Vampire King’s face flashed with sothing unreadable before returning to calmness.
Diana nodded with a small smile as her heart began to race. Her eyes moved to the little boy who ca with the vampire king.
She noticed he was eating so calmly, his face focused—just like Zavren’s, it was like they had sa personality. The boy finally raised his gaze, eting hers calmly before giving her a curt nod and returning to his al.
Her husband, noticing her curious gaze, then spoke as he turned to King Rapheal.
"You have not brought your son here before. I had no idea your son was already grown. May I ask why you did not show him up until now?" the king asked.
The queen stiffened. She turned to the vampire king, curious to hear his reply. King Rapheal’s red eyes, which had brightened slightly as he took the blood wine, dimd a little as he turned to the king and spoke.
"Oh, he was not really interested in coming. He found the palace quieter and better when I left. In fact, what’s more shocking is that he was willing to co on his own," he spoke calmly.
The king nodded quietly before moving the at to his lips. His eyes drifted to the calm boy, who remained focused on his food.
Diana managed to focus on her al, even though she now noticed the burning gaze of Raphael on her.
"Here, wife, we’ll need you to eat a lot. Rember what we promised," Zoltar spoke as he moved so at and white rice onto his wife’s plate.
Raphel’s eyes moved to the at where the king had placed it, and his lips curled upwards. He gently dabbed the napkin on his lips before speaking.
"You really love your wife, your majesty," he said calmly as he lifted the glass of water to his lips and took a small gulp.
The king’s face softened as a smile finally rested there.
"Love is an understatent for how I cherish my wife," he replied.
The vampire king’s gaze landed on the queen, whose face was now flushed by the complint.
"I see," he said, then added, his voice now serious, "We could not co here alone, so we brought so gifts along."
The werewolf king gave a calm smile. "We are so honored to receive your gift."
The vampire king lifted his drink again, seeming to enjoy it. The drink alone proved that the werewolves had truly worked hard to make him feel comfortable. Then he spoke again.
"I believe this ball is different, as it is only during the blood moon that you invite the commoners to attend. I’m guessing dresses will be sent around?"
The king nodded. "Yes, King Raphel, that is the rule by the Moon Goddess. I’m very glad you are attending as our special guest."
The vampire king gave a calm nod.
Zekel, who had been eating in silence, finally spoke to Zavren calmly. Even though he knew his brother would not respond, he still needed to speak his mind. He couldn’t just stay quiet for another minute.
"Brother, tell sothing. I can’t handle sitting with more than one person who has such a distant look. I thought I could handle yours, but it seems this boy is the sa as you. Now I can’t— You know what, tell anything. Boring, historical, anything. I can’t just eat in silence like this..."
His words trailed off as Zavren finally turned to him. Zekel knew that cold look—it ant he had spoken too much.
"You can talk with the kings then," Zavren said calmly.
Zekel half expected that from Zavren. He turned and noticed the silver-haired boy about to stand. That didn’t usually happen, and he hadn’t eaten much, so why was he standing up?
"I want to take so fresh air, Father, if you don’t mind," the boy said.
The vampire king gave a curt nod. "You may go, Vrazen."
With that, the boy bowed respectfully to the king and queen before leaving. Just as he left, the vampire king spoke.
"That is how Vrazen behaves. I’m glad he stayed longer than expected. He does not like eating with people—not even , his father. Only once in a while."
"Why is that?"
All eyes turned as Zavren spoke. That was sothing no one expected—not even the king. If they were guessing anyone to ask such a question, it would have been Zekel, not Zavren.
Even the queen was montarily speechless as Zavren’s gaze fixed on the king. Zekel stared at his brother, wondering if he had really just spoken.
It was rare for Zavren to show curiosity about sothing, and when he did, it ant he had been thinking deeply about sothing.
"Unfortunately, Prince Vrazen has refused to tell —even , his own father," the vampire king said calmly, his eyes scanning Zavren, who finally gave a curt nod and continued his al as if nothing had happened.

Vrazen walked through the hallway. He needed so fresh air.
Maybe it was because this was a different environnt, he guessed. He turned as he noticed a small hallway leading to a garden. As he stepped out, the fresh wind swept across his face. The night was drawing near.
He stared at the clouds, his mind calm, his face giving nothing away. But a sudden cry interrupted his thoughts.
The garden was small, filled with flowers. He turned his gaze toward the sound—it ca from the backside. Not just one cry, but several voices.
Finally, he reached the spot...a hidden spot. On the floor was a girl, not older than sixteen. Her face was covered with mud, as was her milk-white dress. Her hair was being pulled as she cried, trying to shield herself.
A sharp kick landed on her back from one of the girls. There were three of them, beating her up.
"Such a fool," one of the girls spat as she kicked her again. A sharp cry escaped the girl’s lips as another pulled her hair harder.
"We’ll teach you a lesson!"
A deep frown ford on Vrazen’s lips as he walked toward them. The girls instantly noticed his presence—not just any presence, but a powerful and royal one.
The thing about royals was that their very air was different.
Imdiately, the girls lowered their gazes. The girl on the floor tried to stand, but her legs were weak. Vrazen’s frown deepened as his eyes scanned her. His pupils dilated slightly when he finally noticed sothing.
The girl who had been beaten was a vampire—while the three girls attacking her were werewolves.
