Chapter 686: Dopey Bear, Stop!
Zuo n’s affection for Dopey Bear was unquestionable. After all, the creature had been his companion for over a thousand years. Zuo n had long since thought of him as a brother.
If Dopey Bear lost its life, he would be devastated.
Under normal circumstances, Zuo n would do everything in his power to avenge Dopey Bear. This ti, if Dopey Bear died in the hands of the Mystery Dao Sect’s elders, revenge was out of the question for Zuo n.
That pained him most.
Problem was, even now, Zuo n had no idea why Dopey Bear suddenly went berserk. Its strength was multiple tis higher.
The next instant, Zuo n gained a whole new understanding of Dopey Bear’s strength.
The sect elders coordinated their attacks, but that was far from enough to take down Dopey Bear. The only difference compared to the last batch of immortals was that the elders lasted several attacks more.
The outco remained the sa.
They suffered an overwhelming defeat. Their spells crumbled and two elders simply passed out. One was coughing blood while another one seed fine. In reality, his face turned pale as a sheet and he was forced to swallow a mouthful of blood that rose to his lips.
This man was the strongest among the sect’s elders.
“What great strength. It has the force of a profound immortal!” said the elder with disbelief and shock. As he spoke, the magic treasure in his hand emitted a cracking sound.
The next instant, the item shattered.
Even a magic treasure was destroyed.
Just how powerful was the creature?
The elder wasn’t exaggerating when he claid Dopey Bear possessed the strength of a profound immortal.
Now that the sect’s strongest half immortal elders were injured or fainted, the others surely couldn’t stand up to Dopey Bear.
For a mont, Dopey Bear displayed peerless might, and that made Zuo n tremble incessantly.
He knew they had stirred up a huge ruckus this ti.
There was an enormous statue of an immortal inside the Mystery Dao Sect. All disciples who passed by this statue always had to bow and pay the statue respects. This sculpture was said to be modeled after one of their sect’s strongest grandmasters.
And yet, this immortal statue crumbled into dust under the paws of Dopey Bear.
So pavilions that held priceless treasures collapsed too.
The longer Dopey Bear’s destructive streak went on, the lower Zuo n’s heart sank. He wouldn’t dare to dream of Dopey Bear’s survival now. He only wished soone could co and stop it from all this vandalizing.
If this was kept up, sothing terrible was bound to happen.
If Zuo n had a knife that could slay Dopey Bear right now, he would do it in a heartbeat.
“Oh no, oh no, we’re in great trouble.” Zuo n’s mind went blank. By now, half of the Mystery Dao Sect was destroyed by Dopey Bear, and it didn’t seem like it was going to stop soon.
The entire sect wouldn’t be flattened by Dopey Bear, would it?
Thud! When this horrifying thought ca to mind, Zuo n slumped to the ground. Everything that just happened was too much of a blow for him to take.
The Mystery Dao Sect’s disciples were just as shocked and angry, but they could do nothing to redy the situation.
Just then, a few individuals erged from a large hall. They appeared to be conversing in a pleasant mood. It was Lin Jin, Miao Yan Zhenren, and Mr. Qi, who just recovered from his injury.
Miao Yan Zhenren had previously set up a formation around the great hall to ensure that no one disturbed them.
The instant he stepped out of the hall, Miao Yan Zhenren sensed sothing was off.
Why were his disciples seeking help? Also, where did all this debris co from? Hm? Where did their grandmaster’s statue go? Why did it vanish into thin air?
And the library! Wait, where is the ditation hall!
Why were they all gone?
Miao Yan Zhenren was montarily dumbstruck. Mr. Qi noticed the abnormalities as well. With his great senses, he swiftly turned to a certain direction.
Sure enough, he saw Dopey Bear working hard in demolishing a structure.
The smile on Lin Jin’s face gradually faded away. He already noticed Dopey Bear and could sense sothing was wrong with the creature.
As a beast appraiser, it was normal for Lin Jin to be able to sense behavioral shifts in beasts.
Having appraised Dopey Bear before, he knew that Dopey Bear had a strong background. It possessed a powerful bloodline that once activated, could push Dopey Bear’s strengths to a whole new realm.
Dopey Bear’s aura was completely different from before. Aside from traces of chaos, Lin Jin noticed that its aura had increased by tenfold compared to before.
What was going on?
Lin Jin began to observe Dopey Bear’s actions.
“Preposterous! This is outrageous!”
Miao Yan Zhenren was the first to react. He ca to realize what had happened, particularly after receiving endless ntal reports from the immortals in his sect.
‘Dopey Bear went mad. It’s destroying the sect and hurting people!’
Looking around, half of the sect was demolished. The loss they sustained was too much. Miao Yan Zhenren felt his heart bleed and an intent to kill surfaced.
As he spoke, Miao Yan Zhenren pointed a finger toward Dopey Bear, invoking his ‘Monoverbal Elimination’ spell.
This was Miao Yan Zhenren’s secret art, a technique that was formulated to kill with one hit, even if he was standing a thousand miles away. Miao Yan Zhenren usually reserved this technique as a last resort.
This ti, he didn’t have much ti to think.
After all, Dopey Bear seed hellbent on destroying the Mystery Dao Sect’s Ancestral Hall.
That hall enshrined the ancestors of their sect and was recognized as the most sacred location in the entire organization. This was the ultimate trigger for Miao Yan Zhenren’s hostility.
Lin Jin could sense Miao Yan Zhenren intending to unleash his attack at full force.
He wanted to stop the man.
After all, Dopey Bear was on Lin Jin’s side and he had high hopes for the creature. He flickered over to Miao Yan Zhenren’s side and seized the man’s wrist.
Simultaneously, the Four Ocean Gourd hanging around Lin Jin’s waist automatically sent out a stream of water that flowed up to envelop Lin Jin’s entire arm.
The next instant, an invisible immortal force exploded on Lin Jin’s palm and he was sent flying more than a thousand feet back. This happened because he grabbed Miao Yan Zhenren’s wrist and took his ‘Monoverbal Elimination’ spell by the horns.
Miao Yan Zhenren was shocked.
He steeled himself at once. Lin Jin was their sect’s greatest benefactor and he just injured the man out of rage. What should he do?
Not to ntion the fact that Lin Jin was a re mortal. How could he possibly withstand Miao Yan Zhenren’s profound immortal powers?
This was bad.
Breaking out in cold sweat, Miao Yan Zhenren rushed over to check on Lin Jin. Before he could reach him, the mortal flickered away and reappeared beside Dopey Bear. There, he shouted, “Dopey Bear, stop what you’re doing!”
His voice bood like thunder, reverberating through the air. This was by no ans remarkable since many of them could outperform Lin Jin’s thunderous voice.
Strangely enough, the rampaging bear abruptly stopped in its tracks.
