The warehouse was empty, with only a few frightened rats scurrying around in the corners, as if trying to evade sothing terrifying. Laines Empire soldiers escorted Hunter and other "agents of rebellion" away, leaving behind a ss and an enduring atmosphere of tension in the air.

Jade City, once a bustling tropolis, now resembled an isolated island on the verge of being engulfed by a storm. In the streets and alleys, soldiers from Laines and Dorne road in small groups, patrolling with anxious expressions. They had originally thought this would be an easy suppression, but were caught off guard by the quagmire they found themselves in.

Yet, there were still many civilians and workers gathering in secret, discussing ways to end the war, and soon their conversations shifted to how to welco the Great Tang Empire’s military into the city.

As far as the civilians were concerned, once the Great Tang Empire’s troops occupied Jade City, their suffering would co to an end. As soon as they drove away those cowardly Allied Forces soldiers, the war would be over completely!

With this idea in mind, more and more people started joining radical small groups. Many wanted to seize this opportunity for their future, believing that if they could truly create chaos allowing the Great Tang Empire to capture Jade City with minimal cost, they would certainly be rewarded!

Thus, so people began secretly drawing maps, assembling teams, and even pinpointing several hidden Allied Forces armories in the city, preparing to greet the arrival of the Great Tang Empire’s troops with their actions.

"Damn it! Have these mudlegs gone insane?" A young Laines soldier cursed quietly, gripping his rifle tightly, his palms sweaty.

Just monts ago, he had shot dead a civilian who attempted to rush up and steal his weapon, their blood even splattering onto his face. This was his first ti killing soone, and his first ti doing so at such close range...

"Stay vigilant! It’s said nurous places have experienced civilian uprisings!" Seeing his n still shaken, the Laines Empire officer who had just put down the phone erged from the sentry post with tense reminders.

He had just heard about another district where a commander executed a worker nad Hunter in public to intimidate the restless rebels. Hunter had been arrested yesterday on charges of inciting civilian rebellion.

Just as the worker was being executed, a masked group ard with submachine guns suddenly appeared and, under the gaze of many, rescued the rebel nad Hunter.

Soon after, a large-scale riot ensued over there, with civilians from several districts attacking the local garrison, even occupying an armory.

Anyone would know things aren’t that simple. If it were rely unruly civilians, they wouldn’t stand a chance against the local garrison. Clearly, among the troublemakers, there were individuals of unknown origin. These people possessed automatic weapons, coordinated tactics extrely well, helping those unard rebels stabilize their footing.

Now, the rebels have occupied the armory, gaining more bullets and guns. The ard civilians are causing endless trouble for the Allied Forces garrison troops throughout the city.

"If anyone attacks the checkpoint, shoot imdiately..." The officer glanced at the sandbags piled near his post, then at the towering buildings around. He felt his checkpoint at the intersection was practically a trap; if anything went wrong, their defenses were riddled with holes, incapable of any defense.

"But, Captain... Are we really going to shoot civilians? What if those above bla us later..." An old soldier approached and whispered, uneasy about shooting his compatriots.

"Shut up, do you want to be torn apart by those lunatics?" The checkpoint’s commander glared fiercely, whispering, "These wretches have gone completely mad, capable of anything! Soldiers have already been killed, do you want to die too?"

"Ratatatatata!" A burst of gunfire suddenly ca from afar; the sound was likely from the MP40 submachine guns commonly equipped by the Laines Empire. These submachine guns were widely equipped in many countries of the Eastern Continent, primarily the Elf Poplar Empire and Laines Empire.

"Take cover! Damn it! They’re coming." Retreating behind the sandbag cover, the Laines Empire officer braced his helt, urging his n to find shelter quickly.

anwhile, on the other side of the street, civilians ard with various weapons surged like a tide towards them.

So wielded sticks or shovels, others held kitchen knives or wrenches from factories, so had discovered 98K rifles from the armory, while others clutched only a bayonet... Their eyes red, seemingly crazed, they charged towards the Laines Empire soldiers stationed at the checkpoint.

"Drive these bastards out!" Among the crowd, Hunter, rescued from the execution grounds, shouted fiercely, having narrowly escaped death, confrontation with the Laines Empire soldiers was not on his mind.

"They will kill all of us sooner or later! Drive them out of our city!" Soone in the crowd shouted, holding an MP40 submachine gun.

With these shouts, the crowd charging toward the barricade checkpoint beca even more ferocious. They had indeed endured oppression for too long and now decided to fight for themselves!
