In the history of this world, there has never been a battle entirely reliant on air force transportation support. Thus, before the onset of the new Battle of Brunas, Tagg was not confident.

Furthermore, the Tang Army had not fought for a long ti without air support and significant firepower, and no one knew what the front-line troops could achieve.

So, having just arrived at Hotwind Port, Tagg didn’t feel any joy from reclaiming the old Northern Ridge. However, many who had recaptured the Empire’s lands of Longxing couldn’t hide their excitent.

After all, that place was where His Majesty The Emperor rose to power, it was once Brunas and Northern Ridge! Now that they have once again returned to the embrace of the Empire, isn’t that enough to inspire people?

The truth is, all major newspapers of the Tang Empire have begun reporting this good news: The Tang Empire has reclaid Brunas, the place where His Majesty The Emperor rose has once again co back under control.

This kind of news did not incite any excitent among the people of the Western Continent, as many thought of a troubling question: His Majesty rose from the Eastern Continent and has now retaken Brunas, doesn’t this an that one day, His Majesty might return there?

Frankly speaking, for the entire Western Continent, His Majesty’s affection for the Eastern Continent is not a good thing at all. Should His Majesty decide to live on the Eastern Continent, it would be a catastrophic disaster for the entire Western Continent.

Linshui, the first port of the Tang Empire, was on high alert, and Harry, who had been the mayor of Linshui for quite so ti, felt extrely awkward: He had once managed Brunas for Tang Mo for a long period, and had also been the mayor of Linshui for many years, holding affection for both places. Now, whichever city would gain Tang Mo’s favor would make him uncomfortable.

The citizens of Chang’an were also panicked, for they had always been proud of being the capital of the Empire, walking out with their heads held high... If the Emperor had thoughts of moving the capital, how would they live?

So, the news of liberating Brunas didn’t cause much of a stir but rather highlighted the tension on the front lines.

...

On the outskirts of Brunas, the Tang Army, having taken their positions, was trying to fortify their defenses: They made small refinents to the trenches left by the City Defense Forces, doing so minor enhancents.

In reality, they didn’t have ti for any substantial changes, as the Laines Empire Army, aware of the importance of speed, had already approached Brunas, determined to swiftly resolve this looming threat.

The commander of the Laines Empire also knew they couldn’t delay, given that if the Tang Empire had enough ti, countless troops would arrive in Brunas, ultimately turning it into another Eternal Winter or Hotwind Port.

More severely, Brunas had surrendered directly, aning all facilities in this port were intact: This was once the world’s largest, at least now one of the top five, superports... With the support of this superport, following Tang Army troops could easily land, and logistic supplies would be continuous.

Therefore, the Laines Empire had to make a swift decision, seeking to regain control of Brunas before the main forces of the Tang Empire arrived.

The main reason giving the Laines Empire this courage was ignorance: They had no idea what ans the Tang Empire had to reinforce Brunas remotely, hence they believed only a small number of original Laines Field Army and City Defense Forces were there.

These troops evidently lacked combat power; as soon as the main army arrived, these forces would surely flee like the defenders of Jade City.

There were places to retreat to, at least from Brunas heading north, there was a railway running through the forest to Northern Ridge. Based on the combat power of Laines Empire’s local garrison, these troops were likely to escape north to Northern Ridge.

The Laines side had no grand ambitions; their aim was to retake Brunas and drive the rebels to Northern Ridge, thereby completing their mission.

The Laines forces attacking Brunas were unaware that the Tang Army had already begun deploying personnel to repair the Northern Ridge air base, while also dispatching a large-scale transport fleet approaching Brunas.

The Tang Army assembled about three divisions, departing from ports such as Linshui, gathering at Dragon Island, replenishing supplies before heading to Brunas.

Of course, it seed slow for them to arrive, so Tagg was trying to redeploy, preparing to regroup the paratroopers used previously within the Suthers Empire and urgently dispatch them towards Brunas.

Once the military airport at Northern Ridge was repaired, the forces at Brunas would have sufficient air support, thus temporarily withstanding the pressure.

Everyone was racing against ti, but due to proximity, the Laines Empire’s side clearly had a significant advantage. They had already captured Jade City, and the distance to Brunas was not far.

"Report!" In Jade City, soone knocked on the door of Paul, the Supre Commander of the Laines Empire’s forces in Brunas.

"Co in!" Paul put down the file in his hand, looked up to see his aide entering, and asked, "What’s the matter, speak."

"General! We just received news from the advance units; they’ve encountered so trouble." The aide reported the latest ssage received with a worried tone.
