"The electromagnetic interference started yesterday, they won’t discover anything." The Navy commander in the early warning aircraft confidently said to the White Swan pilot who was refueling.
Their Voyagers are incredibly powerful, capable of jamming all of Dorne’s radar detection equipnt, and to avoid arousing suspicion, the jamming had begun yesterday.
Moreover, the Navy didn’t just deploy the electronic warfare aircraft this ti; they also dispatched Flying Shark fighters, putting real pressure on Dorne.
Yesterday, the Flying Shark troops shot down four Dornish aircraft that took off to patrol and tried to locate the Great Tang Empire Navy fleet, including two fighter jets and two patrol aircraft.
This kind of result doesn’t seem significant, but it has already made Dorne feel a stab of pain. Today, all of Dorne Air Force’s patrols have been canceled, not a single aircraft appeared on the radar screen of the Tang Army early warning aircraft.
"Thank you for your help." The captain of the White Swan, having completed the docking with the tanker, expressed his gratitude as his computer was correcting the fuel gauge, and soon the White Swan would be able to restore its fuel load.
This gigantic aircraft took off fully loaded, weighing over 200 tons, requiring four powerful jet engines to get it airborne.
Each of these engines can produce 25 tons of thrust, enough to let it fly at twice the speed of sound. For such a 270-ton behemoth to reach such speeds, the power of technology is indeed terrifying.
"Refueling went smoothly..." An officer in the tanker added to the conversation as he watched the fuel gauge fluctuating: "Soon you’ll be able to fly for a long ti again."
"Indeed, it’s been a long flight, thankfully there’s autopilot." The pilot inside the White Swan said with a smile. He really wanted to chat with soone, as the ten-hour flight was truly tedious.
"You are about to enter Dorne airspace soon, stay safe; our fighters can only pave the way for you for 500 kiloters... that’s about their limit." In the Navy’s early warning aircraft, the commander ntioned as he looked at the screen with expanding blips.
Four Flying Shark fighters would provide so escort, but they need to return with the Voyager electronic warfare aircraft because their range surely can’t match the White Swan.
Soon, five Tu-160 bombers completed refueling, then climbed to a higher altitude, crossed the coastline, and began to accelerate. They quickly exceeded supersonic speed again, with their altitude gradually approaching ten thousand ters.
At this mont, the Dorne defense radar was full of electromagnetic interference noise. The radar operators were already accustod to it; as long as their radar was turned on, they were risking their lives to serve their country.
Even turning it on required imnse courage, and hoping for them to detect the invading Tang aircraft was sowhat unrealistic. So the entire Dorne air defense network was basically paralyzed.
No one knew an enemy aircraft had entered their airspace, and even if they knew, they had no way to intercept it. So everyone was just pretending to be busy.
"Sothing’s not right... why is the interference getting worse?" A Dorne radar operator frowned; he was already inland, generally far from the Tang Army’s jamming source, and interference here wasn’t typically severe.
"This indicates their jamming aircraft... have crossed the coastline..." He looked at his superior and offered his assessnt: "The enemy rarely penetrates beyond the coastline, it’s unusual this ti."
"Activate the backup radar near the Imperial Capital! They’re probably coming to bomb the Imperial Capital, right?" The most fearful thing for Dorne’s officers was an attack on their Imperial Capital, imdiately ordering as such.
The backup radar station, once activated, detected the invading Tang aircraft... but they only spotted them for a few seconds before the signals were suppressed by jamming.
Now Dorne was aware that enemy planes had invaded their airspace, but they didn’t know the exact numbers nor the intentions and direction of the opposition.
"Launch patrols..." In the air defense command of the Imperial Capital, an air force officer on duty couldn’t sit still. He ordered the fighter jets at the Imperial Capital airport to take off and prepare to intercept the enemy planes.
Several jet fighters took off urgently but found no incoming enemy aircraft. Not daring to slack off, they maintained a cruising state.
After the Tang Army Voyager electronic warfare aircraft returned, those Dorne radar stations brave enough to turn on their equipnt discovered that so large objects seed to have reached the southern rainforest heartland.
"The enemy planes didn’t head towards the Imperial Capital! They went south..." In Dorne’s Air Force Command, a general wiped the sweat off his forehead and said with relief.
"A great opportunity! They don’t have escort fighters and are fully deep into our territory... we can shoot them down!" A young officer excitedly almost shouted.
The generals, upon hearing this suggestion, had a bright idea: Indeed, since the enemy didn’t co to bomb their Imperial Capital, there wasn’t any disgrace involved, and they could consider achieving so achievents at this mont.
"Launch planes to intercept them! No matter what, we have to shoot down these audacious guys!" The Dorne Air Force general, having regained his confidence, imdiately ordered.
"The opponent’s flight altitude exceeds ten thousand ters, we have few planes capable of intercepting at this height..." After receiving radar data, the previously excited young officer’s enthusiasm was suddenly dampened.
"Exceeds ten thousand ters? Didn’t they say that thing is as big as an airliner?" Hearing this news, Dorne’s Air Force generals looked bewildered.
"Yes, the reflected signal is large, like an airliner... but it’s flying supersonically, at an altitude above twelve thousand ters." The officer in charge of communications offered a helpless smile.
The interception plan seed to be over before it even began. While they indeed had planes capable of supersonic speeds and so that could fly at ten thousand ters altitude... they really didn’t have any that could fly that fast at over ten thousand ters height.
Even if they did, they couldn’t achieve tily interception, as the enemy’s flight speed was too fast, enough to elude intercepting fighters launched by the Dorne Air Force.
"Let’s give it a shot... better than nothing." Finally, a general, unwilling to give up, voiced his thoughts. His mind was quite conflicted, clearly, the Great Tang Empire was using technology to humiliate Dorne Air Force.
Soon, seven or eight Dorne Air Force bases received the order to take off and intercept the Great Tang Empire’s aircraft. Their pride was hurt, so they decided to return this slap no matter what!
