During the ten hours of negotiations, the encirclent of the Furnace Fortress remained unchanged, but outside this circle, the Tang Army redefined what advancing speed ans in those ten hours.

The 3rd Corps suddenly activated a speeding mode; once the 3rd Armored Army crossed the Port River, they never stopped advancing.

Strauss’s troops advanced at an average speed of over 30 kiloters per hour, occupying a series of important cities in a way that nearly scattered the entire unit.

The resistance from the dwarfs has completely collapsed, and the Tang Army encountered no resistance at the dwarf cities they reached. Civilians nervously watched the Tang Army enter the cities, while the Tang Army had no energy to disturb civilians with no resistance intentions.

Instead, they reverted to their glorious tradition: they began distributing their supplies. They gave chocolates to the children, handed bread and luncheon at to the won, and provided spare socks and raincoats to the n.

After distributing everything until there was nothing left to give, the Tang Army finally halted, and this mad dash allowed them to control a large area of the dwarfs’ southwest region.

Although this mode of advance ant any resistance or counterattack could force a retreat, the Tang Army indeed encountered no significant resistance, so they held their ground firmly.

The Allied Forces had no intention to send troops into the dwarf district for combat, fearing their troops might be coerced into surrendering, so they didn’t organize any substantial counterattacks.

In a tranquil little city in the southern dwarf region, several children were playing carefreely on the street. For them, it seed the war had never broken out, as they always lived in the sunshine.

After all, due to the exploitation by local nobility, their lives had always been difficult, so the scarcity of resources seed to bear little relation to them.

As for the impact, it wasn’t entirely absent; at least their brothers and fathers had been conscripted, leaving their hotowns. Whether they were still alive now, no one knew for sure.

On this not-so-wide street, a ngshi Jeep drove by, followed by several military trucks.

Due to the rapid pace of advancent, various wheeled vehicles of the Tang Army rushed to the forefront instead. Though they had no protection, they looked tall and mighty.

The Jeep stopped in front of a building with the Lord’s Mansion sign, and a captain jumped out of the passenger seat. Judging by his military insignia, he was unmistakably a captain of the Engineer Corps.

He approached the tense Dwarf Guards with a soldier, looking down and questioning, "You’ve already surrendered. We’re here to take over this city; it belongs to now. Go back to your barracks, do you know the way?"

"We, we know." The two soldiers swallowed nervously, preparing to lay down their Mosin-Nagant Rifles.

"Take them back and hand them over at the barracks." The Tang Army’s Engineer Corps captain pulled out a cigarette packet from his pocket, lit a cigarette at the door, and gestured for them to leave.

And so, the two Dwarf Guards carried their weapons away, giving up their post to the newly arrived human soldiers.

These human soldiers wore attractive camouflage uniforms, with complex tactical vests and assault rifles slung across their chests, looking more imposing than the Dwarf Guards from any angle.

Still accompanied by a guard, the Engineer Corps captain entered the Lord’s Mansion, thus brazenly taking control of this city, including several barracks outside the city and thousands of dwarf soldiers who were digging trenches for defense a day ago.

The sa scene appeared in many dwarf towns and villages, where the Tang Army arrived, the dwarf troops all laid down their weapons. They had already given up on this war, especially since the Furnace Fortress was completely surrounded.

It seed that Binghan the First also had no mood to manage the resistance situation in the southern region anymore. He was now considering whether to take on the sowhat ungracious Marquis position.

This issue was too unsettling, to the point he hadn’t issued any telegram to instruct the uncommanded southern cities to minimally resist the scattered Tang Army forces.

Thus, a city could surrender to a battalion, a town to a company, and a village could be occupied by a re platoon or even a squad... The fighting spirit of the dwarfs seed to have vanished overnight.

Indeed, that was the case, as war often depended on the last bit of stamina: if that breath wasn’t lost in the previous second, both sides could still confront each other, but if it collapsed the next second, the situation would beco one-sided.

Because before staking the last penny, gamblers wouldn’t stop. Everyone thought the opponent would collapse at the last second, so no one would give up midway.

Then, the mont the losing side squandered the last chip, defeat would co suddenly, and what was once a tangled battle situation would collapse, just like the current dwarfs.

No one felt the will to continue fighting; all the soldiers looked in confusion at the far fewer humans standing at the barracks’ entrance, then calmly handed over their weapons, making no resistance.

Each barrack suddenly transford into a ready-made POW camp, and compared to the previous cohorts who had left to fight to the death months ago, the newly enlisted soldiers seed sowhat luckier.

They didn’t need to lie in the trenches under artillery fire, awaiting the crushing treads of the Tang Army tanks overhead, so they survived, not having to sacrifice their lives for a dood war.

And from the Tang Army’s deanor, the war seed utterly pointless. Compared to the oppression of the landlords and the domineering bullying of the nobles, these newcors seed easier to get along with.

At least, they didn’t manifest any violent inclinations, aside from collecting the dwarfs’ weapons, they didn’t even intend to enter the barracks.

The ti was short, and everyone wasn’t familiar yet, so both sides maintained restraint. Soon, the dwarfs would feel the change of the era, as the Tang Army’s arrival brought not humiliation but a form of rebirth.

Children curiously stood on the other side of the street, gazing at the Tang Army vehicles parked in front of the Lord’s Mansion. Even they could easily discern that these vehicles were completely different from their military’s equipnt.

rely from the appearance, one could easily distinguish which army’s equipnt was more advanced. The camouflage paint alone made one feel the powerful combat strength of the Tang Army.
