Chapter 1593: The Day Before 1510

“Long live Your Majesty! Marshal! The vanguard destroyer fleet has sunk a patrol ship of the Ice Cold Empire, our approximate location may have been exposed.” An officer stood at attention and reported to Marshal Bernard, who was confirming the positions of various sub-fleets.

Just a mont ago, the fleet’s radar detected a Dwarf patrol ship approaching head-on. Both sides would soon discover each other, so the Tang Army’s destroyer commander had to fire two missiles, directly sinking the enemy ship.

To prevent the opponent from sending out a ssage in ti, the electronic warfare aircraft that had been on alert in the sky imdiately initiated electromagnetic interference, blocking nearby signals.

But everyone knew that such things couldn’t be concealed for long. Once the opponent didn’t return a signal in ti, it would certainly expose the precise location of the Great Tang Empire Navy.

“Where is the Dwarf fleet located?” Bernard looked to his chief of staff, hoping that when the landing began, there would be no interference.

In fact, the strength of the Dwarf fleet is limited, and they don’t have the courage to head north to intercept the Tang Army’s fleet. Those old battleships and aircraft carriers that can only launch piston fighter jets are simply heading to their deaths against us.

Of course, even so, if these warships really appear in the landing area, they will inevitably affect the Tang Army, at least requiring the Tang Army to send a destroyer sub-fleet to intercept.

“Four hours ago, they were still at Zada Port in the south.” The chief of staff imdiately replied, “Satellite images confirm that the opponent’s main fleet has not yet set sail.”

Four hours ago, still at the distant southern Zada Port, even if they sail imdiately, it would take five or six days to reach nearby. Bernard thus put aside the threat of this fleet and continued to ask, “What about the Dwarf submarines and speedboat troops deployed near Eternal Winter Port?”

“We haven’t detected enemy submarines, and the speedboat troops are estimated to possibly deploy by this ti tomorrow.” The chief of staff continued to reply.

His response indicated that the Navy’s task of eliminating enemy sea forces near the landing area was completed ahead of schedule; the opponents had no intent to co to die, so naval battles were unlikely to erupt.

The only concern is the opponent’s speedboats and submarines, but there are contingency plans for these, so nothing specific needs attention.

Bernard nodded and then said, “Then try your best to make sure they don’t deploy.”

“Yes!” The staff officer imdiately responded.

“Our first trump card will be revealed tonight, let’s see if the opponent has the ability to withstand it.” Bernard looked at General Tagg beside him, and said, “Next, let’s see if that troop can truly fulfill their role.”

“I think it should be no problem, for no one in history has had a troop quite like ours, near demonic in nature.” Tagg said, focusing word by word on the coastline on the map.

Inside the cabin, sailors began distributing maps of the landing area to all the landing troops, maps drawn with ticulous detail and thoughtfully marked with features of various landmark buildings.

Everyone received enough photographs to help the troops identify the landing sites and the direction they should attack.

“Everyone confirm your tasks! Count your supplies! Check your weapons on the landing craft! I’ll emphasize once again! Don’t check weapons in the cabin! It’s easy to cause accidents!” The sailors kept emphasizing, as the landing action might begin by this ti tomorrow.

Every soldier landing must carry enough supplies: including biscuits, canned food, and other items, as they might need anything in the combat.

Seeing soone beside him inserting body armor plates into his tactical vest, the veteran squad leader kindly reminded, “If you install your body armor plates in the vest now, after you enter the water, if it’s deep enough, your life vest won’t be able to keep you fully afloat! You will drown then!”

Any incident could happen during landing, sotis, only after disembarking did they find that the sea beneath them was at least a ter deep…

In such a case, if a soldier is tripped by a rock, he might never stand up again: the heavy equipnt on him might press him down, making it impossible to rise again.

The soldier had disdain for the veteran’s words: “I’d rather drown than be shot dead by a flying bullet! Didn’t the mission say we’re landing directly? That’s what it says.”

He wasn’t a rookie, but his landings were very simple, with no proper battles occurring: when the Tang Army landed on Shu Territory, the Coastal Defense Qin Army troops barely resisted before fleeing.

“Lord knows what’s waiting for us on the shore, whether there will be machine gun bunkers or perhaps artilleries… In short, the first batch of people to land are very unlucky.” A soldier chewing a piece of candy chid in.

He was a veteran drawn from the 9th Group Army, vividly rembering the unsuccessful landings in Mirage Country.

For soone like him, the battlefield shrouded in fog, with tracer bullets occasionally grazing by, was the most authentic landing battleground.

The squad leader fixed his bayonet on the tactical vest and turned back and said, “We were supposed to be unlucky. For more than half a year, we’ve eaten better than past Pri Ministers, and now to , risking my life seems worthwhile.”

A veteran pointed to the contents written on the battle plan and complained, “You’re right, Your Majesty treats us generously, and we should be loyal to Your Majesty. But I still feel like what’s written in this mission is bullshit. What does it an that after landing, we won’t encounter dense fire and should disperse quickly and then attack? Are they speaking human language?”

The soldier drawn from the 7th Corps, having only experienced the Shu Territory landing, still thought there was nothing wrong with the mission description: “Maybe the Navy will destroy all the opponent’s coastal defenses?”

Several veterans broke into laughter: “When was the last ti they completely destroyed the enemy’s defenses?”

They, anyway, have not encountered such good fortune, and the squad leader had no mood to enlighten the only soldier in the team with less landing combat experience. He looked toward one of his subordinates and assigned him a tough task: “Cui Jiang, Cui Jiang! During the landing, you’re responsible for covering the dics! Ensure their safe landing! If there’s any problem with them, I’ll make you the pointman next ti! Understand?”

“Yes, sir!” The soldier nad Cui Jiang imdiately responded.
