"The arrival of the Master of the Thousand Ghost Sect at our humble abode is a great honor for the Mo Family!"

"Haha, Elder Mo Xin, you're too kind. On this grand wedding day, I present a Millennium Purple Soul Flower as a token of goodwill from the Thousand Ghost Sect."

The Mo Family Residence was vast, with an excellent layout of courtyards, pavilions, and towers. The banquet was already set, and over a hundred guests had arrived. Though not a large number, these were well-known cultivators within the Sunflare Empire, each representing their own powerful factions, none weaker than the Mo Family.

The Mo Family Ancestor sat at the head of the banquet, feeling a sense of satisfaction as he saw the bustling scene. Once upon a ti, the glory of the Mo Family's ancestors was just like this!

Unfortunately, the descendants were not as competent, losing the family business bit by bit. Now, they could only dominate in Greenwood City. In the past, those who ca to celebrate were dependent on the Mo Family's favor to survive!

But now, the Mo Family was once again experiencing such unprecedented grandeur!

Although, much of this was due to the Bai Family's influence.

The Mo Family Ancestor felt secretly pleased, a kind and amiable smile on his face as he addressed the crowd, "Ladies and gentlen, allow to first offer a toast."

With that, he raised his cup, "Today is the wedding day of our Mo Family's eldest young master, Mo Cheng. I toast to you all!"

As his words fell, he drank it all in one go, and the surrounding guests followed suit, drinking their cups dry.

Praises and complints poured in, bringing a smile to the Mo Family Ancestor's face. He loved hearing these flattering words.

Except... when he thought of the Nine-Lives Demon Cat, he still felt a pang of regret.

How did she manage to escape?

With these thoughts, the Mo Family Ancestor's eyes flickered as he sat down, looking at the table nearby where Mo Cheng was joking with a group of his familiar playboy friends.

This made the Mo Family Ancestor frown.

This fellow was truly hopeless, but he was still his descendant. Although the Bai Family had married off a useless one, Bai Fei'er was soone the Mo Family Ancestor had seen before. Her beauty and deanor were top-notch, so it wasn't a bad match for Mo Cheng.

They just had to wait for the Bai Family elder to bring Bai Fei'er out, and the wedding ceremony would proceed smoothly.

anwhile, Gu Heng arrived at the entrance of the Mo Family Residence, with Little Xi poking her head out from his arms, very quietly.

Many commoners had co to witness the grand wedding, mostly just to enjoy the festivities and have a good al, not particularly interested in the marriage itself.

Gu Heng took out the Marriage Proposal Scroll, and the Mo Family guards let him in. But as he entered, he heard a disdainful voice behind him, "Hmph, a bunch of useless people, all here to freeload. They've never seen the world!"

Gu Heng paused for a mont but didn't turn back.

He continued walking inside.

Su Jinxi, however, looked at him in surprise. Such a hidden world master of dical arts, being insulted by soone barely stronger than a commoner, yet he remained so calm... It seed that this level of detachnt wasn't sothing just any strong person could achieve.

At least, Su Jinxi couldn't do it.

The venue was large, with commoners seated at the farthest small tables.

"Oh, Doctor Gu is here too!"

"What a rare sight, Doctor Gu, co find a seat. The food is really good!"

As Gu Heng walked in, many people greeted him. Most of them had been to his dicine Hall for treatnt and were regulars. He responded to each greeting and casually chose an empty seat, with a variety of dishes spread before him. Little Xi jumped out from his arms and landed on the table.

The Mo Family Ancestor stood at the highest point of the banquet, eting the gazes around him with great pride.

"See that, that's the Mo Family Ancestor."

The middle-aged stonemason beside Gu Heng patted his shoulder, pointing at the Mo Family Ancestor with envy.

Gu Heng knew this stonemason. He had been a cultivator in his early years, though he hadn't even reached the Foundation Establishnt stage. Later, he was severely injured in a conflict, his foundation completely ruined. But he had been a cultivator and had seen the world, so when he spoke, Gu Heng followed his gaze.

"Oh... just like that."

In fact, he had never seen a cultivator of such status, but Gu Heng didn't care. He had co to terms with it; if he couldn't be a cultivator, living as a commoner wasn't so bad.

"Sigh! Doctor Gu, you're really short-sighted! The Mo Family Ancestor reached the Divided Spirit stage a hundred years ago. There are only about ten Divided Spirit cultivators in the entire Sunflare Empire. We're lucky to see one in our lifeti!"

The stonemason shook his head, full of words like "what a pity."

Gu Heng wasn't interested, but he was willing to chat with him.

"This elder is truly patient..."

Su Jinxi swished her tail, thinking to herself.

Joking aside, she had a lifespan of thousands of years and had seen much!

But the many herbs in that dicine cabinet, so even Su Jinxi hadn't seen before, made the stonemason's words seem laughable. The cultivation of the person before her was sothing even she couldn't discern, so the stonemason certainly couldn't. Yet he truly thought of Gu Heng as an inexperienced commoner.

This was a dical Sage dical sage! He didn't even need a pill furnace or true energy to refine dicine!

She wanted to say this, but to avoid scaring the commoners and disturbing Gu Heng's leisurely life among them, she held back.

Besides, she was here to settle a score today!

The Mo Family Ancestor dared to hold a wedding, huh. As the Nine-Lives Demon Cat Grand Elder, she wouldn't tolerate being taken advantage of while sick!

Soon, she would disrupt the Mo Family!

At this mont, the atmosphere in the banquet was lively, with guests toasting and exchanging drinks.

Then, the Mo Family Ancestor finally coughed twice.

This cough caught the attention of all the guests, who all looked up at the Mo Family Ancestor.

Suddenly, music played, and the previously noisy banquet hall fell silent, for the bride was making her entrance!

Gu Heng also looked over. The woman in the red dress, covered by a large red veil, had an incredibly graceful figure, stepping lightly as if lotus flowers blood beneath her feet. She slowly walked in from the side, each step exuding a soft allure that struck deep into the souls of the n, drawing low gasps of admiration.

Beside her was an elder in a green robe, whose stern and sowhat worried expression seed odd.

But the commoners there for the free al didn't care about that.

"Truly as beautiful as a heavenly fairy!"

"Tsk, such a beauty, I wonder how the Mo Family managed to win her from the Bai Family."

"That's not certain. I heard it was the Bai Family who proposed the alliance. There's a story behind it. The woman being married off seems to be a waste now..."

The crowd buzzed with speculation, and though they hadn't seen her face, many were already entranced by the woman.

Gu Heng squinted, a thoughtful look in his eyes.

Who was beneath that red veil?

He felt the woman seed sowhat familiar.

At this mont, the Mo Family Ancestor spoke, his voice booming like a bell, "Ladies and gentlen, today is a joyous occasion for the Mo Family. The daughter of the Bai Family's patriarch, Bai Fei'er, will now join in marriage with our Mo Family's eldest young master, Mo Cheng. Please bear witness!"

The atmosphere soared again, with the guests echoing their agreent. Mo Cheng rose and walked to the Mo Family Ancestor's side.

But Bai Fei'er, hidden beneath her red veil, showed no expression. Only the Mo Family Ancestor seed to sense sothing amiss...

Then, as she approached, a sharp sword light flashed!

With one swift motion, she cut through her veil, and in an instant, the aura of a seventh-level Elental Infant burst forth, stirring the spiritual energy within ten steps around her, stunning the crowd!

The aura rushed toward Mo Cheng, filling him with terror. Fortunately, the Mo Family Ancestor was nearby and deflected it with a wave of his sleeve.

"Hmph, join in marriage!? I, Bai Fei'er, was once a genius, and I still am!

I will not marry such a useless waste!"

Bai Fei'er's sword pointed directly at Mo Cheng, her long hair flowing, her red dress like fire. This sudden turn of events left everyone dumbfounded.

Su Jinxi watched from the stage, secretly amused...

It seed she wasn't the only one who wanted to see the Mo Family humiliated at this wedding.

Gu Heng was equally surprised, for the woman in the red dress, now in a standoff, was none other than Bai Fei'er, who had visited his dicine Hall earlier today!
