"I don't know, maybe we should give this back. He seed like a big shot."
Sett moved towards her, his dark hair contrasting against his golden eyes. Before she could react, he wrapped his hand around her waist. And a second later, she found herself stuck against the wall, her hands powerlessly pushing his chest.
His hands, one on both sides of her shoulder, trapped her in his world.
Sett didn't push further for a mont and just admired the blushing olive face, the dark hair that spilled across Zainah's face. He enjoyed the sight of her green eyes flickering towards Zarah in embarrassnt, the way her arms powerlessly pushed his chest.
"What were you thinking when you used Ga of Benefits on random people?" he asked, exasperated.
She looked at his chest guiltily. "I was too rash, I know."
Yesterday, when she saw the man who gave her the Tomb Hearts, Zainah's thief instinct had kicked in full on—the effect of spotting an easy prey. It had been so rich nobleman or soone along those lines, out on the street to announce the Pharaoh's decree.
When she saw him generously tipping people at random, she had just tried her luck using Ga of Benefits. She had wanted so money to eat sothing anyway, and the other way to get that was to steal.
It had been half-instinctual, half curious to see what she might cause.
And when her ability kicked in, with more power and focus than ever, she could only watch as the generous man moved towards her, his brown eyes blazing in interest. That was when she knew she had ssed up.
Zainah tried to leave, explaining that she had a man behind her, but the more she tried that, the more insistent that person seed to beco. He gave her money first, then gave her the entire bag in his hand. Filled with 20 Tomb Hearts.
Only when sothing urgent made that person leave did she have the chance to escape. She would have left the bag and ran away had it not been so precious.
Even she hadn't expected this big of a haul, and she now realized she had been too reckless. Such good fortune scared her.
"Look at you," Sett said, "all shifty eyed like the first day I t you."
He leaned down and nibbled on her soft lips with his own lips. At first, she didn't reciprocate, worried about Zarah's presence and more than a bit embarrassed. But when his nibbles beca more and more aggressive, she didn't even have to reciprocate, as her body seed to do it without her command by itself.
She had no choice but to let the restraint go, and with that ca his taste.
She wanted him to continue for a while longer.
Not as if Zarah hadn't seen everything Sett did to her anyway.
He kissed her for a whole minute.
When they parted, a bridge of saliva still connected them.
"Should we find a way to give this back?" she asked, hand tracing his chest.
"Since he gave this to us, no need to give it back," he said, looking at the bag calculatingly.
She nodded, leaning against his chest, blushing.
Zarah just watched it all, a weird expression on her face.
Was this still the Zainah she knew?
If it were , I wouldn't be this submissive. Look at her, so shaless.
She wished she had brought so cactus seeds. That would have made this more interesting.
Sett looked at the Tomb Hearts again. He was a bit wary of whoever gave this to her, but at the sa ti, Sett was sure about sothing else.
"You probably didn't only use Ga of Benefits for this," he said. "You must have used your third ability, Magnet of Fortune."
Zarah blinked, envious. "Her next ABILITY? How many does she have?"
Axiom Holders really were all freaks.
"No wonder it felt a bit different." Zainah made an "o" with her mouth.
Sett nodded, caressing Zainah's cheek. "I love that ability of yours a lot. It is sothing that can get rid of a lot of inconveniences at tis."
"What does it do exactly?" Zarah asked, poking her sister.
"I think I kind of know," Zainah said with a weird expression. "But isn't that a bit too absurd?"
Sett explained it for both of them.
Magnet of Fortune.
Zainah's third ability.
That was an ability that allowed her to attract fortune towards herself—it increased her luck by an extre level for a short minute. In that one minute span, she would attract all the 'unclaid' luck around her towards herself.
There were a lot of fortunate things in this world that went completely unnoticed by people. For example, there are still a lot of treasures buried by pirates that no one might know about. Or there might be money out there that fell off soone's pocket—into a gutter.
Unless soone was lucky, it will remain untouched and useless just like that.
Forever.
It was 'unclaid' luck.
Useless fortune.
When Zainah uses the ability Magnet of Fortune, such unclaid luck around her gravitate towards her.
And of those myriad unclaid lucks, the most useful thing to her in that range becos Zainah's claid luck.
Of course, it will always be a fortune that is either useful to her personally, or people she loved.
Hearing Sett's explanation, both girls beca contemplative.
"This ability seems rather complex," Zainah said, already having had an inkling about it. But now, it felt much clearer to her. "And I feel like I can't use it like the other two abilities."
Sett kissed her nose. "That is obvious. Do you think such a good ability can be used again and again? That ability can only be used once a month. And you will feel it again when it's active."
Zarah, who had an investigative look, nodded from beside them. She seed to have co to so profound realization, though her strained brow said otherwise. "I get it, so basically this ability makes sis very lucky for a short mont once a month, right?"
Sett chuckled. "Yes. The guy who gave these Tomb Hearts to her must not have even cared about it.
"Most probably, that guy had planned to get rid of these anyway, but she just happened to catch his eyes right at that mont. And she, luckily, also used Ga of Benefits on him. In the end, he decided to give it to her. That's just it."
Zainah still found that a bit hard to accept. "But this is not garbage, but true bona-fide Tomb Hearts."
Sett let go of his hold on her and moved to the Tomb Hearts. "To strong people, Tier 1 Tomb Hearts might as well be garbage. It's just useful to give out as gifts."
He threw three of the Tomb Hearts at Zarah, then signalled for her to eat it.
She would wolf down anything, not to ntion Tomb Hearts.
But soon, her face grimaced. "It tastes so bad!"
He smirked.
Sett wasn't worried about these being fake or poisonous or so such. The world within Tombs kept the forgery of Tomb Hearts an absolute taboo—if soone tried that, the usual ending they got would be to get absorbed into the void and vanish into nothingness.
The world had so strange rules like that.
And with that, Zarah had beco a Tier 1 Sacred Tomb Raider.
She also grew a bit taller, and her figure also beca a bit more mature. Though, barely worth any ntion. Yet, her strength had also risen beyond her control again.
Sett then looked at the remaining Tomb Hearts.
He had to say that Zainah had awakened the Magnet of Fortune ability at the perfect ti.
Sett looked towards his changed system.
The Tomb Walker pathway, especially, took his attention.
It needed so Tomb Hearts. Tier 1, for starters.
