Sett looked at the City Lord. "What if I tell you that my surna is Ramses?"

That was a gamble.

Lord Burrhen frowned. "Ramses?"

He had never heard of that family na. But Burrhen didn't find that suspicious—he didn't know all the noble families out there.

"Is it like that…" Sett sighed.

So the world has forgotten my na? My family's na?

If such a family still existed, they should have been famous. At least, people like Burrhen would still know the na. But since he didn't seem to know, Sett assud that the family was, since long ago, re history.

Sett didn't mind that too much. The true core mbers of his family had all been sent to the River of Reincarnation by him personally. The remaining people hadn't been particularly capable ones.

He nodded. "Let discuss the hostage with the girls."

"You are sensible," Lord Burrhen smiled for the first ti.

Sett ignored him and took Zainah and Zarah out of his ears. He softly said sothing to Zainah and her face paled. Zarah didn't look good either, looking at Sett as if he were a monster. As if she were seeing him for the first ti.

Lord Burrhen sighed. The kid must have lost their trust completely. But sotis, such sacrifices were needed.

Sett and the girls returned back to the chair.

"As you know, Lord Burrhen, even if we fight each other, we have nothing to earn," Sett said. "Us killing and hurting each other will just benefit soone else. The ghosts or the other nobles, for example."

After all, killing didn't benefit one by the action itself.

Burrhen nodded enthusiastically. "We will just hurt each other's benefits."

Sett also continued, "And you are a strong person, too strong to offend willy nilly. You also have incredible subordinates, even Black and White alone are stronger than ."

"And there is still Grey and Silver, who are stronger than Black." Lord Burrhen sipped the wine. "Then there is Gold, who is stronger than even White."

Sett laughed, then pointed to the side. "Can we talk to the side?" he asked.

Lord Burrhen understood.

Sett must be embarrassed to talk about sending the little girl as a hostage with the girls around. That was understandable. Burrhen watched as Sett placed the knife down and walked away from the table.

The ladies remained there.

Once so distance away, Lord Burrhen stared at Sett.

"So will you give the hostage?"

Sett nodded, seemingly reluctant.

Burrhen looked at the girls, pondering to himself that they looked amazing. In fact, he really liked that older girl. But obviously, asking for her would be too suspicious. Yet, his gaze couldn't help but linger on her for a second longer.

How can soone be so beautiful?

If soone was this beautiful, wouldn't they be noticed easily? Why did they suffer in so streets as thieves?

But then, he got an irrational urge to help the girl.

It didn't matter what he lost, he had to help her. He had to make her happy.

She was so beautiful, he must help her.

Should he say that he doesn't need a hostage?

But what if Sett betrayed their promise?

Wouldn't that be an issue?

No, it didn't matter what he stood to lose. He had to help her.

A knife sank into Burrhen's jaw and pierced right into his brain.

Blood pooling in his mouth, he turned to Sett. But before he could focus and use his Axiom, a song made him distracted.

Axiom of Playfulness—Song of Playfulness.

Burrhen growled.

Where had that knife co from?

If Sett had a knife in his hand, Burrhen would have been wary. But the knife had co out of nowhere!

And it was not even a kitchen knife, but clearly a dagger.

Scales began to cover Burrhen's body.

Another dagger appeared in Sett's hand out of nowhere and it pierced right into Burrhen's eyes, ignoring all the scales.

"You…" Burrhen spoke his final words. "Have nothing to gain… why? And my subordinate..s will…"

Sett kicked his fat body onto the ground, wiping the blood on his sides.

"I never allowed you to infest my lands with ghosts," Sett said coldly. "And sorry, others might have nothing to gain. But I do. Killing itself is an act that is beneficial to ."

It was Sett's first ti killing an Axiom Holder, and as he expected, sothing amusing happened.

[Your Axiom of Reincarnation is stirring]

[17 kiloters of land detected]

[You have already Refined this land long ago!]

His lips arced up.

Sett turned around to watch the commotion outside.

Things were getting rowdy—in fact, starting from the waiter's scream, he could see everything devolving into chaos. Especially—he could see Shining White moving towards them like a trail of smoke.

[Do you want to reclaim your land?]

"Yes," Sett said calmly.

He did want to reclaim his land.

The world around him blurred as if a heat wave was passing through.

Zainah and Zarah ca to stand beside him, faces pale.

For Zarah, it was the first ti she saw soone die.

For Zainah, she was finding it hard comprehending the fact that she had beco the accomplice to Lord Burrhen, the giant's, death.

"What are we going to do?" Zainah asked in a panic.

Zarah was still shocked.

She had been like that for a while, but Lord Burrhen had assud that it was the fear of becoming a hostage. Sett walked near the large window of the restaurant, breaking it with a simple palm.

He looked out through the broken glass, seeing the enemies running towards them.

"Calm down," he said, wrapping his hand around Zainah's waist.

She leaned into him.

"Calm?" she shouted with fear. "Calm down after this?"

Sett tilted his head, seeing the ghosts that filled the land.

"Enemies are coming, indeed."

Sett turned to stare at her, as if suddenly pulled towards her.

As the girls panicked, he . just stared at her with incomparable warmth

She awakened Ga of Benefits, huh?

Sett gently placed his lips against Zainah's, feeling warmth flourish through him.

He could feel the lands beneath him.

He could feel the energy of the world.

Their lips parted.

Zainah forgot her fear.

"Can this prince take you away from here, my lady?" he asked.

Zainah nodded, looking down with flushed cheeks, hiding her face in his broad chest.

Zarah, on the other hand, just stood, trembling as she held onto Sett's clothes.

"You killed him for ," she whispered, tears welling in her eyes. "You beca a murderer."

Sett ruffled the girl's hair with his clean hand.

"Ghosts, demons, nobles, and emperors, they are all either killed, or they kill. I've been a murderer since before you were born, little lady," he said, looking back with an aura of absolution around him. "And I am not going to stop being one now."

He let go of Zainah and stepped upto the window's ledge, one hand still dripping with blood.

Cool evening wind buffeted his long hair back, and as the wind made his clothes rise in the air, his muscular body appeared for all the city to see. A hollow space stood to the middle of his chest, a bright Tomb Heart floating there with brilliance.

He was cold, he was strong, he was the Pharaoh.

He was the lord of this city.

Sett took a deep breath.

His past briefly flashed through his mind.

"The world may have forgotten my na," he said, smiling, "but I will remind them why I ruled."

Sett Ramses, the 7th Pharaoh of Ehyut, spread his arms wide open, letting the air bathe him in brilliance.

Then, he laughed—loud and proud.

"Co, co, my enemies!"
