Sett examined the stats curiously.
The system had perfectly calculated his strength and speed, essentially converting abstract physical attributes into asurable, nurical values. But overall, there was almost nothing new here that he had just learned about.
He knew everything listed here already by just simple observation.
Only idiots or youths are allowed not to understand their own strength! If you wanted to beco a capable man, you should be well aware of your strengths and weaknesses. What you can do and what you cannot do must not be confused.
Children might be allowed to ss up, idiots might be allowed to ss up, but not emperors or Pharaohs. If they didn't know their limits and tried sothing beyond them, the things they had to lose at stakes were always high.
Even embarrassing themselves in public was unforgivable for an emperor!
For soone like Sett, who had a ticulous mind, the system's observation of his own strengths and weaknesses wasn't too beneficial. He already did that by instinct.
But—this made all his information very organized. So, he liked it.
What took his attention, though, were two things.
One: Nickna.
Lord of Tombs?
Who gave him that nickna? Why had it appeared out of nowhere?
No answers or information was available for him to check into. So he stored the question in the back of his head.
Two: Current Tomb Size and Tomb Rank.
Sett closed his eyes and turned his focus inward, sensing the ancient Tomb hidden within his Heart Zone. A single thought was enough to sever his awareness from his physical body.
When he opened his eyes again, the world around him had changed. Gone was the open landscape outside Burrhen City—replaced by an oppressive darkness. The air was thick with dust, carrying the stale scent of decay. The stone walls lood around him, worn smooth by ti, their surfaces etched with dust and spider webs.
Silent, he raised an arm—only to realize he had no arm to raise. There was no flesh, no bones, no form. He was just a bundle of awareness.
A faint unease curled in his mind, but he pushed it aside and extended his senses outward.
The Tomb stretched vast before him, an underground labyrinth shrouded in mystery. It was exactly as the System described—one kiloter in diater. Though multiple floors extended above and below, he could tell that from the very center, every path led precisely one kiloter in each direction. An intricate structure, calculated and deliberate.
As he searched the entire thing, Sett's face beca more and more solemn.
The mummies that had been inside the Tomb before he absorbed it had all vanished. All the coffins inside were filled with ash. In fact, not even spiders or ants remained throughout the Tomb.
It had an eerie silence to it, a foreboding coldness.
But as Sett sensed it all, he also felt the comfort of loneliness.
When one is lonely for the first ti, it is incredibly uncomfortable. It gnaws at you like a monster trapped in your physical heart. But when you grow used to it, you start loving the monster. You start enjoying its company.
He cut off his awareness from the Tomb and an imdiate wave of bustling noises assaulted his senses.
He was back in the real world.
"Hm?" Zarah looked up at him. "Did you say sothing?"
Sett shook his head and took the girl's left hand into his palm. She looked askance at him. He undid the cheap glass bangle she wore around her left wrist and put it on his palm.
"My bangle," she said with a pout.
"I'll get you sothing better," he said and closed his palm around the bangle. It remained just as it was for a second before suddenly vanishing.
Zarah stared dumbfounded at his hand. She grasped it, squeezed it, looked all around it. But she still couldn't find her bangle.
"How?"
"Magic."
Sett once again closed his palm and opened it, and in there, a new set of bangles appeared. This one was not cheap, not ugly. It was made of gold, inlaid with green gems reminiscent of Zarah's eyes.
He made her wear it and she just sat there, completely struck silent.
"Now that looks good for a lady," he complinted.
She blushed.
Then smiled brilliantly.
Sett patted her head.
Any Tomb would have its own fair share of gold and riches—buried along with the dead masters. If it was worthy of being the keep sake of dead kings or dead nobles, it obviously wouldn't be cheap.
The Tomb he had absorbed also had a lot of such riches, of which gold was the most abundant.
This bangle was particularly well preserved, too.
Making the glass bangle dissappear was not magic, either, it was just absorbed into his Tomb. That one kiloter of space truly had beco his personal storage.
Making the golden bangle appear wasn't magic either, it had just been taken out of the Tomb.
But to Zarah, it might as well have been magic.
"Look, your beautiful sister is coming."
Zarah sat up straighter, acting more lady-like. Zainah walked upto them while biting her lips and Sett frowned, she had so papers in her hand.
"What happened?" he asked.
"The garrison's people already had and my sister's wanted posters," she said with so worry. "So they would have never let us enter the city if they saw ." But then she showed the papers in her hand. "I entered their watch rooms and stole all of the wanted posters with our na..."
Sett was impressed.
Zainah truly had so skills.
"They don't have the posters now, but if they rember our faces, it is going to be troubleso," Zainah said, "Even if Zarah is a Tomb Raider now, stealing from nobles is a big cri."
After all, nobles were all either Tomb Raiders themselves or even Axiom Holders. Most of them also had a bunch of subordinates, too. How can stealing from them be so simply forgiven because you grew stronger?
In fact, most nobles could still kill Zarah and Zainah as they were. If their capabilities were revealed freely, they would imdiately beco hot commodities.
Orphaned girl who was an Axiom Holder?
Co let have you!
A little girl who grew up in the slums then transford her life around?
Let adopt you and squeeze you dry for all your worth!
Zainah was right to worry. But she was most probably too worried.
Shaking his head, Sett explained. "How many wanted posters do they have to handle in a day? Tens of them? Hundreds?" He shook his head. "Since you already stole all the wanted posters around here with your face, you no longer have to be worried. Just use a scarf to partially hide your face while we go in. They won't make trouble for us if they know we are Tomb Raiders."
After all, the garrison team was not composed of nobles. They wouldn't unnecessarily cause problems for people like Sett.
They imdiately got to moving into the city.
After gaining a sort of trust in Sett, Zarah wasn't nervous at all but Zainah was incredibly nervous throughout. But in the end, nothing happened and they entered the city.
As Sett had expected, it was easy.
"So where is your ho?"
Both girls hesitated imdiately, exchanging glances.
