Egrith looked at Sett with a deep feeling of satisfaction in his heart.

He had thoroughly humiliated Sett, right?

That had even happened in front of Zainah. Now, what honor did Sett still have remaining as a man?

Wasn't he so arrogant before?

Egrith's gaze then shifted to Zainah, but imdiately, he frowned. There was rely worry, guilt, and fear in Zainah's face—and when she looked at him, there was only distaste.

Why? Is it not clear to her that I am the better man? He gritted his teeth. Does she not see that Sett is nothing but a worm that I could kill any ti?

"Go out, monkey!" He roared at the monkey. "Walk out."

Sett took a deep breath and exchanged a glance with the monkey. Then, he looked at the dinsional gateway that Egrith had opened.

"Monkey, they want you to leave. Leave, show him that you can survive outside."

Still sobbing, the monkey shook its head. "Please let stay here and just cry for a while longer."

Egrith sneered. "I have no ti for that."

The monkey stank like body fluid—and Zainah's expression was pissing Egrith off. Inwardly, he decided to just throw the monkey out if it stayed like that for a second longer.

But then, he thought of sothing and looked at Zainah.

"Look, Zainah. This is the difference between the man you chose and ."

Zainah remained silent, her hand still clutching Sett's shirt.

Egrith smiled. "Let ask you, Zainah. I will give you a final chance. Why don't you abandon him and join ?"

Sett gritted his teeth, eyes cold.

Zainah took a deep breath and glared at Egrith, but she did not say anything.

"Look here, woman," Egrith said again. "There are tiers to life. In strength, wealth, capability, fortune, mindset, in everything—there are tiers. And at this mont, I am at a uch higher level than your man could ever hope to be."

Zarah sneered. "Sett started training just a few days ago. How long have you been alive?"

It hadn't been a long ti since Sett woke up in this new life.

Egrith raised his eyebrow. "This brat still hasn't learned how to remain silent. Do you think I cannot skewer that mouth?"

Zarah was frightened, hiding behind Sett imdiately.

"Then answer my single question, this is baffling to ." Egrith continued. "Why do you still want to remain with Sett when he is inferior to another of your suitors?"

Zainah sighed, then tightly held Sett's hand.

She looked at Egrith with bright green eyes.

She took a deep breath.

"It is true that I first started liking Sett because of his strength, beauty, and wealth. It is true that I enjoyed those aspects of him. I liked being spoiled with his riches, I liked having a strong backing like him, and I also loved how handso he was."

Egrith frowned.

She continued. "But now, those things are secondary. Even if he has nothing, even if we lose all the money and power, I think I would still be happy. I am willing to go back nd live in that old container ho with him and nothing else."

She wasn't done. She tightened her hold over Sett's hand.

"Egrith," she said, for the first ti addressing him. "You would never understand. I was soone who was willing to suicide. My heart was long since stone. But he—" she blushed. "For how dramatic it sounds, he truly made my life worth living. Now, I truly look forward to each new day, I truly smile when I think about what awaited next day."

Egrith beca silent.

She continued.

"Sett might be a rival to you—you might see him as wealth, status, and so kind of number tag. But to us? To , he is more than just that!

"To Zarah, he is the brother she never had, to , he is a person who I genuinely feel open around. I could talk and reveal feelings I would never even reveal to my sister to him. I could cry and act like a useless burden for him, and he would still just hold tight. I've seen it happen a lot of tis already and I've barely been with him for a short ti."

Egrith clenched his hand. "Are you saying that I am incapable of doing that for you, while he is capable of it?"

"Yes."

He gritted his teeth. "Do you want to die?"

Zainah took a deep breath. "You might fall in love with a person because you first saw them as better than others in every aspect. But that is nearly impossible for a human. And Sett is still human, he will not always be the best among all my suitors and what not."

But so what?

What if he was defeated and humiliated in front of her?

It was not one bit degrading in her heart.

To her, it just made her hate Egrith all the more.

How dare he hurt her Sett?

How dare Egrith do this!

For the first ti since she started her new life—she truly wanted to kill soone.

"Egrith, I am not a golddigger. I did not fall in love with Sett for his money. And I don't plan to fall out of love with him for anything of the sort."

Egrith's face beca deathly cold.

"Love is not sothing you can force," Sett said with a smile, rubbing Zainah's head. "Well said. I wanted you to say this when I was first overwheld by him on top of the wall."

That day flickered through his mind.

That was the first ti Sett and Egrith participated in a brawl.

At that point, she had refrained from speaking her mind due to fear of Egrith's status and power. He had been quite downcast at that point.

To think that his own won would have to resist speaking their mind because they were afraid of others.

Zarah said: "I told sis that you seed a bit sad about it at that point, Sett. She should have done this." She then turned to Egrith. "This is her stance, Egrith. Be a man and learn to accept rejection. In the first place, how can you even wish to split such a loving couple?"

Egrith glared at her, and frightened again, Zarah hid from his view.
