The day soon neared its end.
The Monkey beca silent.
"I will die in a few monts," it said with a sigh.
Sett stared at it, golden eyes full of curiosity.
It only had one or two more minutes to live if the curse was the truth.
The Monkey hesitated, then raised its arms. "I… truly liked your company, Sett, Zarah, and even you, Zainah." Then, it sighed again. "But in the end, you… guys should have left. I don't think I am ready to die just yet…"
Zainah and Zarah's expression beca still.
It moved, controlling their arms in a second. They began to move and stifle their own necks.
Sett simply moved and removed their hands away from their neck. He ruffled their heads and then turned to calmly look at the monkey.
"You…" the Monkey was stunned. "Why can't I control you?"
Sett smiled. "Your Body Manipulation ability is indeed good, but you said that the more soone slled you, the more control you had on them. You should not have revealed that information. That also ans that the less we have slled you, the less control you have over us."
A sword appeared in his hand and he placed its tip against the monkey's neck.
"But how?" The Monkey shrieked. "If you breathe here, you will have to sll . And you have been here for more than an hour. You could not have held your breath that long! You are bound to inhale my scent!"
"Unfortunately for you, I do not need to breathe."
It was completely flabbergasted.
Sett smirked. "Now, I am the one with the advantage."
One by one, an army slowly appeared out of a blue gateway and surrounded them. The Monkey was completely at Sett's rcy.
It began laughing silently.
"Guess my ti is up whether I like it or not…"
Ti ticked.
Sett took a deep breath.
The ti was up.
The curse kicked in.
The monkey looked at its hand and sighed. Its hand was turning pitch white. "Look, I told you Gods don't lie. I am dying."
Sett placed a hand on the monkey's head.
It should appear now.
Whenever he touched sothing completely unknown, the system had always revealed sothing about it. He had been waiting for it all this ti.
[Divine Information Unlocked]
[The Curse of Solitude has reached its limits and the Monkey King has started dying.]
The God's statue, which had a demonic expression until now, beca utterly sanctimonious. Its head tilted with the sound of grinding stone and its eyes ca to rest on Sett.
The Monkey King shivered. "It is Musson! Musson is here!"
"Oh, in the flap of an eye—a life has passed," Musson said with a smile. "Oh mortal. This curse is inevitable, impossible to stop without divine help. It cannot be reversed either. You are out of your luck. In fact, the Monkey is already dead, he just hasn't lost consciousness."
Sett felt a weight press down on him.
It wanted him to bow.
It wanted Zainah and Zarah to bow.
"It is impossible?" Sett laughed, looking at the statue with interest. "I did not know Gods could be so foolish."
Sett used the Tomb Lord ability.
Now, he was the strongest mummy here since the Monkey was already 'dead', and that had made this Tomb his own exclusive property. He imdiately sucked in the entire Tomb into his Inner Tomb—and the entire place beca his own Territory.
And in his Territory, he was God.
Zainah and Zarah were also sucked in along with everything.
Sett appeared back in the Ket Tomb.
He had sucked in everything into himself, but two things did not move in. One was the God's statue that looked down at him with utter contempt, the other was the completely white Monkey King.
The God's statue did not lose its sanctimonious smile.
It stood in the desert and looked around.
"Ket, huh? An interesting piece of history from an interesting world. But did you think that doing this could save the Monkey from its death? That it could save you from bowing?"
Sett raised his eyebrows and looked at the God. Yes, the weight had started pressing down on him and it was a re matter of seconds before he was forced to bow.
[Divine Information]
[This is the statue of Musson. The God of Deadly Curses. And he is but a fraction of a God's strength—a re reflection. Mortals would be compelled to bow and anyone who bows to it will receive its curse along with a blessing. But in the end, its curse will lead them to their deaths.]
I absolutely cannot bow.
"It is my second ti seeing a God's reflection," Sett said. "But I cannot say that I am afraid."
Though, he was certain that this God could kill him—he realized that Gods had limits. Rules that they had to follow.
The Door Spirit had to question others and help them reveal their true selves.
This Musson was also sothing similar.
That was the irony.
To think Gods were less free than mortals.
Or not. This is not a God but a God's reflection.
But there should be true Gods in this Ket Tomb, Sett was now more certain than ever.
"Arrogant," the Statue said, "Why are you not afraid?"
"Because you are wrong. You said that it is impossible to save the monkey. But I can save it. That ans even Gods make mistakes, that even your words are not absolute.
"You say I cannot save the monkey without Divine Help.
"But Divine help? I do not need it."
Sett clenched his hand on the Monkey's head.
"I can save it without any of that trouble."
Axiom of Reincarnation—River of Reincarnation!
The ability to reincarnate dead beings.
The God's eyes widened. "Power of reincarnation?"
Sett laughed as the monkey's body beca ash and he pulled out a transparent soul.
Then, without hesitation, he threw it into his own Inner Tomb.
After that, he faced the God Musson with a feeling of quite thunder in his heart.
Musson stared back, frowning.
"Kneel!" the God ordered.
