"Sir, the cops have been watching us a lot lately."

"We haven’t been able to sell multiple batches of our products."

Kingpin, seated at the head of the table, listened as his confidants reported the situation.

So of them began to argue among themselves, frustrated by their current predicant.

"That’s enough."

His tone was calm, almost casual. The n in the room instantly fell silent.

"George Stacy is just trying to gather evidence on our activities. Keep your profiles low."

"It doesn’t matter if you make less money right now—just don’t cause problems with the police. That could wipe out a lot of our businesses."

With Kingpin’s words, the group settled down.

But one man still spoke up indignantly:

"But sir, isn’t he just a police captain? Why should we be afraid of him?"

"He’s not a major problem. I’ll find soone to handle it..."

Kingpin’s cold glare cut him off, and the man obediently shut his mouth.

Kingpin didn’t bother explaining the pros and cons to soone that short-sighted.

"Anyway, all of you keep things quiet for now. If nothing major happens, don’t contact ."

As soon as those words left his lips, everyone in the room felt the temperature drop a few degrees.

"Understood, Boss," they all replied in unison.

"By the way," one of the n spoke,

"Sir, didn’t you say you were going to secure the rights to those popular books? How’s that going?"

The man sitting closest to Kingpin smiled obscenely.

"We should pick a good actress," he said.

At the ntion of this, the others’ eyes lit up with excitent.

They had played with all kinds of won before—

but they had never tried their luck with a famous actress.

So when they heard Kingpin was planning to open a recording studio and profit from popular book royalties, they imdiately started imagining their fun.

Unfortunately for them, Kingpin’s response was not what they expected.

"I miscalculated on that matter."

A miscalculation?

Everyone exchanged puzzled looks, unable to understand what he ant.

In their minds, if Kingpin wanted sothing, he always got it.

Kingpin sighed in disappointnt as he looked around the table.

These idiots only thought with their lower bodies.

"That guy nad Arthur is probably a Mutant."

"The n who went to purchase his copyrights were all defeated by him."

One of the n, annoyed, imdiately spoke:

"Sir, do you want to hire a hitman to kill him?"

It’s just a Mutant.

Which of them didn’t already have Mutant blood on their hands?

Garbage like that shouldn’t exist in this world anyway.

"Have you already forgotten the police are on our trail?"

In the middle of their discussion, an alarm suddenly blared, shocking everyone—including Kingpin.

The red warning light flashing in the corner made his brow furrow.

He pressed a button on the side of his seat, and a monitor dropped down from the ceiling.

The screen revealed what was happening outside.

But the sight made everyone question their own eyes.

All of the guards were lying on the ground.

It was impossible to tell whether they were alive or dead.

These weren’t ordinary n—they were Kingpin’s handpicked security forces.

Even an army would have trouble taking them down quietly.

And yet... this scene had just happened.

"Is that bastard attacking us again?"

"I can’t think of anyone else who would target us besides Daredevil."

Kingpin frowned deeply, still unable to make sense of it.

If it weren’t for the layers of safeguards he had personally set up, the siren might not have even gone off.

The n in the hideout began to panic.

"Why are you panicking? No one but knows the entrance to this room."

"No one can find us here, and I highly doubt whoever’s attacking us will get through those doors."

Hearing that, they instantly cald down.

Even they had only been able to reach this place by being blindfolded and guided by Kingpin himself.

Without him, they never would have known this underground hideout even existed.

Still, Kingpin felt a vague sense of unease.

He had survived countless dangers by trusting his instincts—

and those instincts were screaming at him now.

Pressing the button again, the monitor switched views, now showing a narrow hallway.

The others didn’t recognize it, but Kingpin knew very well—

it was the only passage leading directly to this room.

When the image appeared, his eyes widened in disbelief.

"Impossible... how could he know about that entrance?"

Now Kingpin knew who was behind this.

Arthur Morgan!

Even the dimst of his n had already guessed that the surveillance feed was showing the path to their hideout.

This man must be here for revenge.

"Sir, didn’t you say no one could find this place?"

"Who is this guy?!"

"He took out all the guards by himself?"

Their panicked shouting irritated Kingpin.

He slamd his cane against the floor.

"Shut up!"

Even in such circumstances, his sheer presence was enough to crush the fear in their hearts.

The room fell silent.

"Even if he manages to get here, he won’t be able to get in."

"Sir—look! What is he doing?"

On the monitor, they saw Arthur approach the door.

He placed his hand on it, then stepped back, his right fist tightening.

"What the hell is he planning? Is he seriously going to try to break down that door?"

Before the man could finish, Arthur struck.

His fist stopped just short of the tal, re centiters away.

In an instant, a whirlwind burst forth from his punch, slamming into the door.

Blades of wind shredded the steel like paper, tearing it into pieces.

"What the hell!?"

"That’s his power!?"

Arthur strolled inside casually, as though he were taking a walk.

He smiled at everyone in the room and spoke in a mocking, playful tone:

"I finally found you~"

"I hope I didn’t interrupt anything important..."

(End of Chapter)

"Hmph. If you really want to be useful, then entertain , try to throw those pathetic power stones at . Let’s see if even your insolence can amuse a king."
