Though truthfully, Jiang Chen knew, if he transford into a Super Saiyan, breaking free would be simple. He glanced up toward the elder seated in the sky, Dohko.
Jiang Chen didn't resist.
He understood well, this was likely part of the Saint Warrior's training thod.
Breaking free would gain him nothing.
"Hahaha! Now you're the sa as us!" Seeing beads of sweat instantly form on Jiang Chen's forehead, Kanon couldn't help but laugh.
"Stop talking crap. Move!" Sage barked.
Everyone threw Jiang Chen a quick, fleeting glance. But they didn't dwell on it. Soon enough, they all began climbing.
Yet this ti, it wasn't just a tenfold pressure anymore. Now they also faced an intense Cosmo suppression, one far beyond the Seventh Sense level. Even just a sliver of it was terrifying.
Climbing the cliff now felt like carrying the weight of a mountain on one's back. Every step ttheey took felt like crossing an unbridgeable chasm.
Kanon's face flushed deep red. His body trembled, unable to move forward even an inch.
Shaka, Sage, and Aiolos could only manage a slow crawl upward.
At this rate, it might take them years just to reach the summit.
Especially considering… this was just the beginning.
They could all feel it, the higher they climbed, the stronger the Cosmo suppression would beco. No one could even imagine how intense the pressure at the top would be.
Still, despite it all, not one of them, not even Kanon, backed down. Each of them continued to inch upward, one painful step at a ti.
Ti passed quietly.
The five figures climbed, struggling and enduring.
Until late at night, exhausted beyond asure, they stopped. They began catching fish from a nearby stream for sustenance.
Then they sat cross-legged to refine their Cosmo.
When morning sunlight broke over the mountains, they resud their climb.
High above the cliff, Dohko remained motionless, eyes closed. He seed entirely unaware, or perhaps simply unbothered, by their efforts.
Nor did the five attempt to disturb him again.
Day after day, they repeated the sa grueling routine of climbing.
Under that intense pressure and soul-crushing Cosmo suppression, their bodies slowly began to transform.
At the sa ti, their inner Cosmo started evolving.
Jiang Chen was the first to notice the change. By the third day, he clearly sensed that his previously stagnant Cosmo had begun evolving once more under the extre pressure.
Soon after, the others began to feel it too, and each of them was visibly elated. As Apprentice Saints, they all knew that elevating their Cosmo was the most crucial part of their future training path.
"BOOM!"
With a stumble, Kanon slipped and plumted. But this ti, he simply dusted himself off and started climbing again.
Over the past days, the other four had been through the sa.
Still, even among the five most gifted Saints in Sanctuary, the differences between them were beginning to show.
Jiang Chen was at the top. Even with more power suppression than anyone else, his physique was unmatched.
Second was Shaka. As the reincarnation of Buddha, Shaka's Cosmo growth was arguably the fastest among them.
Next ca Sae and Aiolos.
And finally, Kanon.
Though Kanon's talent was exceptional, it was clear that compared to Shaka, Sage, or even Aiolos, he still lagged slightly behind.
As for Jiang Chen, thanks to his incredibly resilient body, Saiyan physiology, and his unique Galaxy-tier Cosmo, his talent had already reached the pinnacle. He had even surpassed Shaka, Sage, and Aiolos.
In just a few short days, Jiang Chen felt his internal Cosmo had more than doubled. Of course, as his Cosmo's scale and range expanded, breaking through to the Sixth Sense, or even reaching the Seventh Sense, beca exponentially more difficult.
But that didn't matter.
After all, the true power of a Saint ultimately lies in their Cosmo strength. The Seventh Sense is only superior to the Sixth when both parties have equal Cosmo. But if one's Cosmo completely outclasses the other's, then whether it's the Sixth or Seventh Sense makes no difference.
Just like now, even though Jiang Chen hadn't awakened his Sixth Sense yet, his Cosmo had already far surpassed not only the average Bronze Saints, but likely even most Silver Saints.
And not just him, Shaka, Sage, Aiolos, and even Kanon all possessed Cosmos far greater than any typical Bronze Saint.
Such was the gap in raw Cosmo power.
So, Jiang Chen didn't particularly care how long it would take to reach the Sixth or even the Seventh Sense.
Sure, awakening the Sixth Sense grants mastery over elents, precognition, telekinesis, flight, genjutsu (illusion techniques), telepathy, mind control, enhanced intuition, and more supernatural abilities.
The Seventh Sense offers power that transcends the mundane and enters the divine.
But to Jiang Chen, those weren't all that impressive.
Because as long as his Cosmo kept expanding, even at just the Sixth Sense level, he could easily overpower soone at the Seventh. And maybe even have a shot at crushing soone at the Eighth Sense.
The sense level itself… ant little without the Cosmo to back it.
"BOOM!"
His body slamd down again.
Another fall. Another impact. But Jiang Chen rose quickly, adjusted his Aura, and charged back up. As ti passed, the group slowly adapted to the overwhelming pressure.
What once seed unbearable now barely slowed them down.
Jiang Chen, furthest ahead, had already climbed about one-third of the way.
Even Kanon, furthest behind, had climbed one-fifth.
At this pace, perhaps in another six months, they'd reach the top, where Dohko waited.
Yet compared to how eager they were in the beginning, now everyone was far more focused on the strength they were gaining, the Cosmo growth they were undergoing.
Jiang Chen was no exception.
Up on the cliff, Dohko opened his old, weathered eyes and couldn't help but reveal a trace of satisfaction.
These five youths from Sanctuary… all pleased him deeply.
Talent. Determination. Willpower.
All of them were exceptional.
At this rate, they would surely beco the backbone of Sanctuary's future. And perhaps even among the most powerful Gold Saints.
Yet behind his satisfaction, curiosity also lingered.
Especially toward Jiang Chen.
Jiang Chen carried a power that was clearly not Cosmo, but was undeniably imnse.
At first, Dohko had assud Jiang Chen was soone from the Immortal Realm, judging by his appearance and energy. But he quickly realized that wasn't the case.
After all, Immortal Realm powers were also rooted in Cosmo. But Jiang Chen's was… different.
It seed to be purely derived from physical strength and spiritual energy, Jin-Qi-Shen (Essence, Energy, and Soul).
And this alone had already surpassed most beings who had awakened the Sixth Sense.
Even more intriguing was that, Jiang Chen's power wasn't even at its limit. Which was truly unbelievable. But while Dohko remained curious, he had no intention of prying further. He could clearly sense that Jiang Chen possessed a heart of pure justice.
And with such purity, there was no need to worry, nor any reason to scrutinize.
(As seen in the original canon, the Sixth and Seventh Senses don't directly equate to strength, they represent one's realm or awareness, not raw power. It's not uncommon for a Sixth Sense warrior to overpower a Seventh, or even for a Seventh to challenge the Eighth.)
