"Can you take with you?" Bobby asked, his voice trembling but filled with determination.
Su Xiuyu raised an eyebrow, a little surprised. "This is only our second ti eting. Why do you think I'd save you? Look at your situation—your problems aren't mine. I've got enough on my plate already."
"There's no real reason," Bobby replied, his voice firming up. "Just a gut feeling. My instincts are screaming that if I don't say sothing now, my future could turn out completely different. I'm just a drowning man grabbing at any chance to breathe."
Logan cut in quickly. "Hey, Bobby, didn't you agree to co to the Mutant Academy with us first?" He glanced at Scott, a little frustrated. The entire reason they'd co was to calm Bobby down and bring him to the academy—safe, structured, and surrounded by others like him.
But then, this stranger showed up, hypnotizing everyone around him like it was nothing.
"Uncle, I know you're a good guy," Bobby said, turning to Logan, "but I still want to follow this big brother. I'll go to the Academy—just not today."
"Bobby, think this through," Logan urged. "Yeah, he's a mutant like us, but you're still a kid. At the Academy, you'll get real training, a proper education, and friends who understand what you're going through. Trust —you'll find people who truly get you there."
Logan was getting anxious now. The situation was slipping out of his control, and this new guy was an unknown. If Bobby went with him, and he turned out to be dangerous, they'd never forgive themselves.
"Big bro, please... take with you," Bobby pleaded again.
Su Xiuyu's eyes narrowed as he studied the boy. "If you follow , your life won't be easy. You'll have to obey completely. Everything—your choices, your life, even your death—will be under my control. You sure about this? Really thought it through?"
Logan barked, "Bobby, don't listen to this crap! At the Academy, you'll still have freedom! You'll be able to make your own decisions! You won't have to live like you're soone's pet!"
"I understand... and I still choose to go with him. I promise. Please, take away."
Su Xiuyu gave Bobby a long, unreadable look. Then, without another word, he raised a hand—and both Logan and Scott suddenly froze in place, eyes glazed.
"They'll be fine," Su Xiuyu muttered. "Just put them in a harmless illusion. Keeps them from interfering."
With a casual wave, he bent the steel bars of the holding cell as if they were nothing. "Co on. You're free now."
Bobby stepped out obediently, eyes wide. "Uh... what should I call you?"
"Su Xiuyu," he replied. "Or, Uchiha Xiuyu. But you'll call Master from now on. That's the price for following —you do as I say, always."
Bobby nodded without hesitation. "Yes, Master."
Su Xiuyu felt a flicker of approval. Good. If he'd hesitated, I would've left him behind. Oga-level mutant or not, I'm not wasting ti on the indecisive. The Iceman was still in his awakening stage anyway—not worth much just yet. Not like the Phoenix Force or Chaos Magic.
"You're lucky," Su Xiuyu said simply. "Let's go. The car's waiting."
Outside, Uzumaki Mito and Uchiha Chisato were already seated in the vehicle.
"This is Uzumaki Mito, my fiancée. And this is Uchiha Chisato, my sister."
"Not biological," Chisato added dryly, arms crossed.
Bobby was about to blurt out "Master's Wife" and "Master's Sister" in greeting, but Chisato snide clarification caught him off guard, the words dying in his throat.
"Strap in," Su Xiuyu ordered. "We need to move."
The ride was quiet. Bobby kept to himself, glancing occasionally at the two won beside him. Mito offered him a soda with a warm smile. He accepted it gratefully but said nothing.
Back behind the New York Police Departnt, Logan and Scott finally broke free from Su Xiuyu's illusion. The spell had been a ntal maze—simple, but ti-warped. From their perspective, days had passed. In reality, only five minutes had ticked by.
"That guy's got telepathic powers," Logan muttered, rubbing his temples. "We're not equipped for this. Let's go back and have Charles take a look."
"What about the people lying around outside?" Scott asked in a low voice. "We just leave them?"
"They'll be fine. Just knocked out. Worst-case, they catch a cold and go to the ER. Right now, we need to report back. That guy's not normal. Not Magneto's crew either. I've got a bad feeling about this."
They climbed into Logan's beat-up truck, both silent as they sped back to the Mutant Academy.
A few hours later, they arrived.
"I'm sorry, Charles," Logan said grimly. "We failed. Bobby went with another mutant—telepathic. Powerful. Definitely not one of Magneto's n."
Scott chid in, "He didn't even speak to us directly. Just one glance... and we were out cold. The protesters and reporters around us? All hypnotized, no effort. They were still asleep when we left."
Charles Xavier listened intently, brows furrowed.
"Let check your minds," he said. "See if he left anything behind."
"Go ahead," they both agreed.
This wasn't their first ti being scanned by Charles. His telepathy was unmatched—he could sense ntal alterations, untangle illusions, and clean up psychic trauma like no one else.
The mont Charles entered Logan's mind, the mory played out like a movie—crystal clear. He quickly realized the stranger hadn't hard them. In fact, he'd taken care not to damage anything. Interesting.
Then, deep in the mory, Charles stumbled upon sothing unexpected—an easter egg.
"Hello, Charles," a voice echoed inside his mind.
It was Su Xiuyu's voice. And then—silence.
Back in Uchiha Madara's office, far away, Su Xiuyu paused mid-sentence.
A faint flicker of his ntal energy had just returned to him.
"Looks like Charles found my ssage," he murmured.
"What's wrong?" Mito asked, sensing the shift.
"Nothing," Su Xiuyu said with a smile, reaching out to gently pat her head. "Just rembered sothing funny."
-------------------
"Charles, everything alright?" Logan glanced at the professor with a crooked smile, sothing feeling off.
Charles nodded, but there was a hint of intrigue in his expression. "It's fine. Whoever it was didn't an you any harm. In fact... they seed rather friendly."
Logan raised an eyebrow. "Friendly? You sure about that? Doesn't feel friendly walking through a damn maze in my own head for days."
Charles chuckled softly. "It was a subtle ntal misdirection. Quite skillful, honestly—but completely harmless. And they even left a ssage in your mind... a greeting for , actually. If I had to guess, I'd say we'll be seeing more of them sooner or later."
That was the first ti Charles had been this intrigued since the Cold War ended.
After a brief pause, he added, "Logan, are you certain this person was a mutant?"
Logan frowned. "Aren't they? I just figured it was so psychic mutant ssing around."
Charles shook his head slowly. "No... I don't think so. The technique was unlike anything I've seen among mutants. Even the residual energy feels... different. Like they wanted to notice the difference. It's almost like they left behind a signature, deliberately."
Logan groaned. "What a pain in the ass. And now I'm just the delivery boy for so telepathic prank."
"You're overreacting," Charles said with a smile.
"Oh, by the way," Logan continued, "Scott got into trouble on the last mission. I promised the NYPD we'd cover triple the damages."
Charles gave him a deadpan look. "You promised. Why am I paying for it?"
"Ask Scott. I'm just the ssenger," Logan said, hands raised in surrender.

Uchiha Office
Bobby stepped into the large, clean room, eyes wide with excitent. "This is really gonna be my room?"
Su Xiuyu nodded. "Yup. All yours. But from now on, you're responsible for yourself. You understand what I an?"
Bobby's smile faltered a little, his youthful eyes betraying a flicker of uncertainty.
Su Xiuyu caught it instantly. "Are you really ready, Bobby? From here on out, your life won't be your own. I'll be very clear with you—I'm not from Arica. There's no such thing as freedom and democracy in this household. I won't let you coast by because you're a kid, and I don't care who tries to interfere. Even if the President of the United States ca knocking, he couldn't do shit."
His voice turned a bit gentler. "So I'll ask one last ti—are you sure you want to be my disciple?"
To Su Xiuyu, this wasn't just a casual ntorship. Whether in the ninja world or back in China during his past life, the master-apprentice bond was sacred.
Bobby didn't hesitate. "I'm afraid of what's ahead... but I won't regret this. Not now, not ever, Master."
Su Xiuyu narrowed his eyes. "Even if I end up standing against the entire world?"
"Then I'll stand with you," Bobby replied, voice steady. "But... if that day ever cos, please... spare Angelica and Commissioner George."
Su Xiuyu smirked. This brat thinks I'm so world-ending villain.
"I was speaking hypothetically, you know. I'm not planning to destroy Earth. You can go find Angelica yourself. As for George... yeah, he's a decent cop."
He ruffled Bobby's hair. "Co on, let's eat. You'll need the energy. I prefer Chinese food, so hope you're ready. Ever had any?"
Bobby nodded. "General Tso's chicken and mapo tofu."
Su Xiuyu scoffed. "That fast food junk doesn't count. You're about to taste the real thing."

Dining Room
By the ti they ca downstairs, the others were already seated.
Su Xiuyu began the introductions. "This is Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Izuna—my older and younger brothers. That's Uzumaki Asaoka—he's older than you, so call him big brother. You've already t Mito and Chisato. And this little guy here... et Bobby, or as I've decided, his nickna will be Iceman."
Bobby blinked. Since when did I get a nickna? But he nodded. If Master said his na was Iceman, then so be it.
"Bobby's my first official apprentice," Su Xiuyu continued. "I'll probably be counting on all of you to help guide him. Bobby, so of the clan isn't here right now—they're off handling business. But when you et them, be respectful. We still follow traditional rules: respect for elders, hierarchy, the works."
"Now, sit. Let's eat."
Madara frowned slightly. "You're really taking in a disciple? No one from the Uchiha clan caught your eye?"
"It's my decision," Su Xiuyu replied calmly. "And don't underestimate Bobby. He's got innate bloodline powers—he's practically descended from the Yuki clan of the Land of Water."
Madara snorted. "The Yuki clan's okay, but nothing worth fussing over."
"Bobby's potential is far beyond that," Su Xiuyu said, his voice sharp. "With luck, he might even reach Hashirama's level."
Madara's eyes narrowed. That got his attention. "To be on par with him... Alright. Your call."
Bobby let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding. Madara's approval—no matter how reluctant—was a good sign.

Dinner Spread
The table was packed with mouthwatering dishes: mapo tofu, spicy shredded chicken, dry pot beef, thousand-layer tofu, braised spare ribs, mushroom soup, stead sea bass, and garlic pork intestines.
Uzumaki Mito and Chisato had prepared the feast. Because Su Xiuyu loved Chinese cuisine, they'd gone so far as to find a Chinese chef and learn proper techniques.
At first, Madara and Izuna weren't into the flavors—but after watching Su Xiuyu devour the food with such delight, they'd quickly co around. Chinese cuisine had variety, richness, and soul.
Su Xiuyu noticed Bobby fumbling with the chopsticks.
"Don't stress it. Use a fork and spoon for now," he said, watching Bobby fail to pick up a single tofu cube.
Bobby looked embarrassed. "Thanks, Master."
"Just stab it and eat. Not elegant, but it works. You'll get the hang of chopsticks eventually. They're actually super convenient once you figure them out."
Despite being strong enough now to live without food, Su Xiuyu still loved eating. To him, food was more than fuel—it was joy, comfort, and indulgence. Power didn't an you had to give up the little pleasures.
Who says even a godlike Otsutsuki can't enjoy the taste of braised ribs?
