Looking at the Skrulls leaning on each other for support, Carol finally realized the truth—Yon-Rogg and the Kree had been deceiving her all along. Even though the Skrulls were beaten down and had nowhere to call ho, they were still desperately fleeing from Kree pursuit.

Carol had always believed she was serving justice, hunting Skrulls to protect the stability of the universe. She never expected that, after all her efforts, she was nothing more than a pawn in the Kree's hands.

"The Kree blinded themselves with self-righteousness, using guilt over the war as a cover," Su Xiuyu said, patting Carol on the shoulder, trying to comfort her. "It's nothing but a race war, plain and simple."

"You're right," Talos muttered. "This war stained everyone's hands with blood. It's been dragged on for so long... My people were scattered across the galaxy, forced to embark on a hopeless search for a new ho. But thanks to your help, Carol, I've finally found it."

Talos lowered his head in gratitude. Beside him, a young Skrull child sensed Carol's sadness, grabbing her hand and thanking her softly in Kree.

Before Carol could respond, heavy footsteps echoed in the control room. The Kree team had arrived—led by Yon-Rogg.

"Carol, when did you beco so soft that you'd call the enemy your brother?" Yon-Rogg sneered, walking in with his team. They raised their weapons, aiming them at Carol and the others.

Su Xiuyu subtly suppressed his own energy, playing weak on purpose. After all, if he fought seriously, he could wipe out Yon-Rogg's team easily. But drawing attention was smarter for now.

"Don't you see what's happening, Carol?" Yon-Rogg said coldly. "You're standing there laughing and talking with the enemy. Have you forgotten who you are?"

"Yon-Rogg, stop lying!" Carol shouted, clenching her fists. "You're nothing but a Kree puppet! Even the Skrulls—whom you call 'aggressive locusts'—deserve better than this!"

"Be proud to be Kree!" Yon-Rogg roared. "Don't lower yourself to the level of these primitive natives! You were created for greatness, Carol!"

Carol tried to summon her energy, but the suppressor clamped around her neck locked her powers down tight. The Supre Intelligence had made sure of that.

"Take her away," Yon-Rogg ordered. "The Supre Intelligence will knock so sense into her. Lock up the others too."

Carol was dragged away alone. Su Xiuyu, Fury, Talos, and the other Skrulls were thrown into separate cells—ordinary Skrulls cramd together into a giant holding block.

---

When Carol woke up, she found herself floating in a void. Standing before her once again was the Supre Intelligence.

"Hello again, Carol," it said. "It hasn't been long. Why have you chosen betrayal? I gave you power... and now you turn against ?"

"The power didn't co from you," Carol snapped. "It ca from the explosion on the Star of Hala! You're a liar!"

The Supre Intelligence's pleasant facade lted away, revealing its true face—cold, ruthless, and controlling.

"A lowly creature from a backwater planet," it hissed. "You were lucky to absorb the power of the Cosmic Cube. Without , you are nothing!"

"I don't need you!" Carol roared. A brilliant light exploded from within her, shattering the virtual illusion around her.

Back in the real world, Carol's body blazed with power inside the spaceship.

"Break free—take her down!" Yon-Rogg shouted, but it was already too late. Carol unleashed a shockwave that slamd the Kree soldiers into the walls. With the suppressor fried by her energy surge, she broke free and escaped.

anwhile, elsewhere on the ship, Su Xiuyu, Fury, and Talos were undergoing "testing." A female Kree soldier was scanning them with an energy detector.

"Species: tamorphosis Beast. Danger level: High," the scanner beeped after scanning the cat, Goose. The Kree soldier imdiately pulled out an alloy muzzle, fastening it on Goose with great caution.

"It's just a cat," Fury grumbled. "Is that really necessary?"

When the scanner passed over Fury, it chirped: "Species: Human Male. Danger Level: Almost zero."

Fury looked utterly humiliated. "This thing's gotta be broken."

Su Xiuyu barely held in his laughter. "Fury, just accept it. You're no more dangerous than a housecat."

"I'm telling you, it's broken!" Fury snapped.

The Kree soldier turned the scanner toward Su Xiuyu.

"Species: Suspected Planet X Tree Race—Flower God Colossus. Danger Level: Extrely High. Recomnded Action: Flee Imdiately."

The scanner's alarm scread loudly, repeating over and over:

"Extrely Dangerous. Recomnded Action: Flee Imdiately."

"Extrely Dangerous. Recomnded Action: Flee Imdiately."

"Extrely Dangerous. Recomnded Action: Flee Imdiately."

The Kree soldiers all turned to stare at Su Xiuyu in horror, weapons rising fast.

"You still think the scanner's broken?" Su Xiuyu said dryly, glancing at the nervous Kree aiming their guns at him.

"Look, we don't have to make this ssy," he said, raising his hands. "How about we all go our separate ways?"

Before he finished, the Kree opened fire, unleashing a barrage of energy blasts. Fortunately, their weapons used energy rounds, not physical bullets—otherwise, the ricochets alone would have killed them.

Su Xiuyu remained calm. In an instant, thick wooden walls rose around him.

Wood Style: Wood Wall!

Fury's eyes widened. He could see wood sprouting from Su Xiuyu's body, shielding him from the blasts.

"What the hell is this guy?!" Fury muttered under his breath.

When the Kree soldiers finally ran out of ammo, they were stunned to see Su Xiuyu completely unhard behind his wood wall.

"Thanks for the fireworks," Su Xiuyu said casually. "But honestly, this is getting annoying."

With a simple gesture, dozens of thick wooden vines erupted from his body, lashing out. Though they looked like simple wood, they smashed the Kree weapons like twigs.

In no ti, all the Kree soldiers were bound tightly like dumplings—if only the Kree knew what a dumpling was.

----------------

Looking at the subdued Kree, Fury stared at Su Xiuyu in shock.

"Since you're this strong, why the hell did you wait until now?"

Fury would probably repeat that line many years later too. After all, back then Nick Fury would grow into the most powerful spy chief in the world, with full control over every potential threat. But now, he was still young, still had passion, and still trusted the people around him—at least a little.

"No chance? After all, Carol handled most of them herself," Su Xiuyu shrugged, as if none of it had anything to do with him.

Honestly, Fury could just play the supporting role. Why bust your ass when soone else could handle it?

"So you just sat there and let the Kree capture you? You almost got tossed into outer space!"

Fury looked at Su Xiuyu with a mix of helplessness and frustration, like he wanted to smack him upside the head and lecture him about basic survival.

Su Xiuyu casually grabbed Fury's handcuffs and twisted them. The tal snapped apart like paper. He freed Maria in the sa effortless way. As for the orange cat... Su Xiuyu was much gentler. He manually unfastened its muzzle.

The mont the muzzle ca off, the "cat"—the Flerken—opened its mouth and swallowed a few nearby items whole. Then, like it had just eaten a snack, it cald right back down.

"Whoa, what the hell? That's a cat?!" Fury's jaw practically hit the floor.

"Taros always talked about the 'Devouring Beast,' but nobody took him seriously," Su Xiuyu said lightly.

"Man, it looks just like a cat! Who the hell would believe it?" Fury backed away a little, now a bit spooked by the creature he used to cuddle.

"Carol looks like an ordinary person too. Does that make you feel safe around her?" Su Xiuyu shot back.

"You're dodging the question," Fury grumbled as he led the way toward the spaceship. He threw Su Xiuyu a side-eye. "You hiding sothing? Aliens too? Different race? Sothing to do with those 'superpowered trees' the Kree kept ntioning? Heard sothing about the Flora Colossi?"

Su Xiuyu glanced at him, a little surprised at the gossip. "Yeah, he's from the Flora Colossus tribe. There aren't many of them left. He's one of the few survivors."

"And you're telling that while he's right there? Not scared he'll kill you to shut you up?" Fury teased.

"Scared? Even if he wanted to, he wouldn't have the strength to pull it off," Su Xiuyu said flatly. "Besides, even if you die, at least you'll die knowing the truth."

Fury shrugged. "Fair. Still worth asking."

He casually tucked his communicator deeper into his pocket, like he hadn't just been caught recording everything.

Su Xiuyu rolled his eyes. "Next ti you spy on soone, at least pretend to be subtle."

Fury didn't even look embarrassed. With that deadpan poker face of his, he just acted like nothing happened and kept talking. "Co on, I'm just curious. The na 'Su' sounds a little like 'China' back on Earth, y'know? Plus, you look pretty normal. Earth-normal. So I had to ask a few questions. Just pure curiosity, nothing serious."

Fury's skin was so thick it was practically armor. Maybe that was why he'd eventually beco the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Fury, you're shaless," Su Xiuyu said, shaking his head. In his mind, Fury wasn't really soone you could call a true friend—not even now. Fury would betray his own friends in a heartbeat if the situation called for it.

At that mont, Talos walked over, bowing slightly. "Thank you, Mr. Su! The Skrulls will never forget your help!"

Talos genuinely ant it. He had seen how Su Xiuyu handled things, and there was no doubt now.

Su Xiuyu wasn't just playing hero. He had his reasons too. Befriending the Skrulls would be extrely useful. Their technology was way ahead of anything Su Xiuyu's original world had to offer. Strength and tech—every major power needed both. Even mighty Asgard had Odin and an armada of spaceships. If Su Xiuyu wanted to level up fast, understanding space battleships was crucial. And the Skrulls were the perfect opportunity.

The group moved quickly, locating the spacecraft. They boarded and prepped for the return to Earth. Talos finally got the chance to reunite with his scattered family. Maria took the controls of the fighter jet, ready to fly them all back.

But just as the cargo hold started closing, a shot rang out. Kree soldiers had caught up. One laser blast was aid directly at Talos, who was standing exposed at the edge.

Before anyone could react, Su Xiuyu moved. With a sharp "ding," he flicked a shuriken into the air, deflecting the bullet like it was nothing.

Talos was no ordinary refugee; he was a forr general of the Skrulls. Letting him die here would've been a huge loss.

"You good, Talos?" Su Xiuyu asked, stepping forward. "Take your people and go. I'll clean up the rest. Besides, Carol already has the main ship handled."

"Thank you again, Mr. Su!" Talos bowed deeply. He realized it now—Su Xiuyu was protecting the Skrulls because he had plans. And that was fine. Talos didn't mind holding onto a powerful ally's coattails, not when survival was on the line. The Skrulls had no ho. Any helping hand was a blessing.

anwhile, aboard the battleship, Carol was holding her own against Rouge and the Kree forces. The newly awakened Carol had regained her full power and energy manipulation abilities. She had the upper hand against her forr comrades, but it wasn't a landslide.

Suddenly, from the entrance, a burst of blazing fire shot out, blasting away all the Kree soldiers except Rouge.

The force of the flas even pushed Carol back a little.

"Su Xiuyu? What the hell—what power is that?" Carol blinked in surprise.

"Since you're so strong, why didn't you do sothing earlier?" she asked suspiciously.

Su Xiuyu smiled wryly. "If I started earlier, I might've triggered your mories too soon."

In his mind, though, he was thinking sothing very different: If I moved too early, I wouldn't have been able to snatch a few free spaceships... His real target had always been the Kree fleet from Mar-Vell's lab.

Carol narrowed her eyes at him, still feeling like he was hiding sothing.

But she sighed. "Fine. Whatever. Let's take care of the Kree together, yeah?"

"Uh... slight problem."

"Problem?"

"While we were talking... Rouge took off in his ship."

"What?!"

"Yeah, um, I might have missed it at first. Do you believe ?"

Carol stared at him, deadpan.

Su Xiuyu just smiled awkwardly.
