"Go to hell!"
Shimada Hideo unleashed a swarm of tentacles from his hands, transforming them into razor-sharp blades as they lunged at Su Xiuyu and Lei Gang.
"Lei Gang, watch how you handle your blade."
Su Xiuyu drew his chakra blade, its edge infused with wind chakra, making it razor-sharp. The tentacles stood no chance; every strike cleaved through them effortlessly.
"Damn it! What kind of weapon is this?! Why can't I stop it?! You're just a inferior human—you shouldn't be this strong!" Shimada Hideo roared in frustration, unable to accept reality.
"Where did you even co from?!"
Su Xiuyu was done playing with this parasite. "Lightning Style: Ground Current."
A controlled surge of lightning danced through the air, striking Shimada Hideo without delivering a fatal blow. The parasite-wielding man scread as he hit the ground, his body smoldering from the electric shock. Despite his injuries, his unnatural vitality kept him alive. Gritting his teeth, he struggled to rise, preparing for another attack.
"Lei Gang, take this chance to practice. Don't let your guard down, even if he looks like he's dying," Su Xiuyu instructed.
"Got it, Captain."
Lei Gang understood this was a rare opportunity. If it were anyone else, they wouldn't have had the chance to fight at all.
"Keep him alive," Su Xiuyu added.
Even with Hideo severely injured, Lei Gang still had to put in effort to subdue him. Eventually, he managed to restrain the parasite, leaving him barely clinging to life.
"Captain, he's barely breathing."
Su Xiuyu crouched down, his Sharingan swirling to life. "Let's see what he knows. Genjutsu—Sharingan!"
Hideo's dazed eyes lost focus. His mind, now trapped in illusion, responded instinctively.
"The base is—"
Before he could finish, Lei Gang cut in. "Captain, the car is totaled. How are we getting there?"
"We use our legs. What else?"
Lei Gang groaned. "Couldn't you have left the car intact? At least we could've driven straight to their base!"
"Yeah, well, I don't have a damn driver's license!" Su Xiuyu snapped. "And even if I did, I run faster than a damn car. Why the hell would I care about a vehicle?"
Lei Gang looked skeptical. "Then why are we running so slow?"
Su Xiuyu shot him a deadpan look. "Because you're slow. If it were just , I'd be there already. You're the one holding back."
Now it was Lei Gang's turn to feel frustrated. He had always thought of himself as competent, but compared to Su Xiuyu, he was just dead weight. Over ti, he had co to realize his captain possessed strange abilities—sealing parasitic spores, mind-controlling with those blood-red eyes, and even sensing things normal people couldn't. But he never asked about them.
First, because it wasn't his business. And second, because Su Xiuyu had looked out for him too much. If anything, the fact that Su Xiuyu didn't hide these abilities from him ant that he trusted him.
Not that Su Xiuyu cared about secrecy—Lei Gang was just overthinking it. The only real secret was Su Xiuyu's system. Everything else? Just another tool in his arsenal.
"Stay sharp," Su Xiuyu said. "That eting room ahead—that's our target."
Lei Gang kicked open the door—then imdiately regretted it.
Dozens of parasites turned toward him, their eyes wide, mouths drooling. The floor was covered in blood and severed limbs.
"...My bad. Didn't an to interrupt. Please, continue. I'll just—"
Before he could retreat, the parasites abandoned their al and lunged at him.
"Captain, help!"
Lei Gang's scream was genuine. He could handle one or two parasites, maybe three if he got lucky. But a whole damn swarm? No chance.
"Fire Style: Great Fire Annihilation!"
A wave of flas erupted, engulfing the room. The wails of the parasites filled the air as fire consud them. In an enclosed space, the technique's destructive power was overwhelming. The sheer heat triggered an explosion, sealing their fates.
Su Xiuyu turned to Lei Gang. "Next ti you pull so reckless shit like that, I'll let you burn with them."
Lei Gang gulped. He had assud Su Xiuyu was the composed, strategic type. Turns out, the guy was also ruthless.
"Let's move. Next target."
Over the next few days, Su Xiuyu and Lei Gang traveled across Tokyo, wiping out parasite nests wherever they went. With each encounter, the infestation dwindled. By the end of it, there was a real possibility that Shinichi wouldn't have to face the tragedy that originally awaited him. Kana, too, might avoid her original fate.
The only reason Su Xiuyu hadn't left Tokyo yet was that his team still hadn't regrouped. Everyone had been scattered worldwide, and it took over ten days for them to finally reassemble.
When they did, Lei Gang beca the center of attention.
"Damn it, Lei Gang! You left us behind and took all the good opportunities for yourself!"
"You have no idea what I went through," one of them groaned. "I just crawled out of a damn rainforest yesterday, and now I see you walking around like a boss. Do you know how badly I want to punch you right now?!"
Lei Gang shrugged. "Wanna fight? Captain's been teaching sword techniques. With my parasite, I could take on ten of you at once."
The others imdiately backed down.
"Yeah, no thanks. We were just kidding."
It was clear—Lei Gang had grown too strong for them to challenge. For the first ti, they all realized sothing: sotis, luck mattered more than effort.
They turned to Su Xiuyu with hopeful eyes.
"Captain, can we get a shot at this too?"
"Not happening." Su Xiuyu shook his head. "You're too late. No more parasitic spores. Without them, there's nothing I can do."
Disappointnt settled over them.
"Now that everyone's here, I'm heading back. We're leaving this world."
The statent caught them off guard.
"Captain, you're leaving? Just like that?"
"There's nothing left for here," Su Xiuyu said plainly. "Of course, you're not obligated to leave. If you want to keep exploring, go ahead. But I'm done."
The team exchanged looks. If their captain was leaving, there was little point in staying. The parasites were gone, the adventure was over.
"Captain, what about Kana?" Lei Gang suddenly asked.
"Kana?"
Su Xiuyu paused for a mont before shaking his head. "No point in saying goodbye. We're from different worlds. It's better this way—she won't get any weird ideas."
With that, he turned and walked away, leading the team toward their departure point.
anwhile, Kana wandered the streets of Akihabara. It had been two weeks since she last saw "Uncle," and she had no idea where he was now.
Then—
Her nose twitched.
That scent—she knew it.
Her head snapped toward a group of people walking down the street. The pedestrians gave way, sensing the group's intimidating presence.
Kana's heart pounded. "It's him!"
She ran after them, pushing through the crowd.
"Uncle!"
She waved her arms, her voice desperate, but the shifting crowd blocked her path.
For a brief mont, Su Xiuyu turned his head. Their eyes t.
Kana's heart leaped—he saw her!
But then... he turned away. Without a word, without a second glance, he kept walking.
Kana's breath hitched. No.
She broke into a sprint, chasing after them all the way to the outskirts of the city. She saw them enter a forest—then, in an instant, they were gone. Their footprints led to an open clearing beneath a massive tree.
Kana collapsed to her knees, her chest tightening.
Tears spilled down her cheeks. "Uncle... why did you leave without saying goodbye?"
Her parasite ford a soft palm, gently stroking her head in silent comfort.
Kana clenched her fists.
"I'll find you, Uncle... no matter which world you're in."
----
"Finally, we're back in our own world." Li Yunrui stretched, grinning. "How about a get-together tonight?"
Su Xiuyu had no real reason to refuse, so he tagged along for a barbecue. However, after eating, he didn't stick around for the craziness that followed.
Tomorrow, without a doubt, the team would face intense interrogation from the Secret Service. Successfully returning from another world wasn't sothing that happened every day, and there would be many questions to answer.
That night, Su Xiuyu returned ho. The door creaked open, and a small head peeked out.
"Xiuyu, you're finally back."
He reached out and ruffled Chisato's hair. "Yeah, I'm back."
Since his parents couldn't contact him, they had left a note before leaving on a trip. They were surprisingly laid-back, not even panicking after losing contact with their son for so long.
Su Xiuyu sighed. "Man, what kind of parents do I even have?"
Chisato giggled. "Brother Xiuyu, you should be grateful they're not ho. You won't believe what happened when they first saw . They actually thought I was your kid! Just because I told them you were my only family, they completely misunderstood."
Su Xiuyu froze, dumbfounded. His parents really had an active imagination. How old was Chisato? How old was he? Were they implying he had a child at ten? What kind of twisted logic was that? He was beginning to question his entire existence.
Still, he quickly shook off the ridiculous thought and turned back to Chisato.
"I can't take you back just yet because of your injury. I hope you understand."
Chisato wasn't upset. Instead, she hugged his arm tightly. "It's okay, Brother Xiuyu. I'll go ho once I'm completely healed."
Su Xiuyu was a little surprised at how calmly she accepted it. Then again, she was only eight—maybe she just didn't fully grasp the situation.
"Speaking of which, my injuries are almost healed," Chisato added. "But I feel... different. My chakra is more active than before, and my body seems even stronger. There's nothing wrong, right?"
Su Xiuyu frowned slightly. "I don't know dical ninjutsu yet, so I can't check for sure. I'll learn it as soon as possible and examine you. Modern dicine may be advanced, but it's useless when it cos to chakra-related issues."
"Yeah."
If a dical-nin were around, they'd probably laugh at his words. dical ninjutsu wasn't sothing that could be mastered overnight. His declaration was practically arrogant. But Chisato didn't know any better. The Uchiha clan had always been warriors, not healers. During the Warring States Period, unless soone had extraordinary talent, injuries were treated with nothing but herbs and luck.

It was clear that his chakra reserves had grown, his sealing techniques had finally reached an entry-level stage, and his body was edging closer to the Sage Body. But overall, his trip to the world of Parasytes had given him little benefit.
From what he rembered of mythology and legends, the Parasyte world was, at best, a small world—it didn't have enough depth to provide him with any significant power boost.
Taking a deep breath, he silently activated his system and, in a blink, returned to the Naruto world.
As he inhaled, he noticed sothing different. The air carried a faint trace of natural energy.
That's new... I couldn't sense this before. My Sage Body must have improved again.
Looking around, he realized he wasn't in a familiar location. The air slled of blood. That wasn't surprising—after all, the Warring States Period was a ti of constant slaughter. But this ti, the stench was overwhelming.
It wasn't just a random battle. This was a massacre.
Following the scent, he soon found scattered corpses. Their wounds were grueso—clearly the work of powerful taijutsu.
Now that's weird... Su Xiuyu narrowed his eyes. There weren't many taijutsu specialists in the Warring States Period. Hand-to-hand combat didn't beco famous until much later—until Konoha's Blue Beast, Might Guy. So who the hell had this level of raw physical strength at this ti?
He knelt beside a corpse and examined the armor. A clan emblem was engraved into the tal, though it had been shattered beyond recognition. Carefully, he pieced together the fragnts—and his eyes widened in shock.
The Hagoromo Clan.
Descendants of the Sage of Six Paths, the Hagoromo Clan was once a prominent force in the Warring States Period. Their reputation rivaled that of the Senju and Uchiha. But strangely, they vanished from history. In later generations, not a single trace of their bloodline remained.
Now, it seed he had stumbled upon the exact mont they were wiped out.
Curiosity burned in his chest. He couldn't help but move forward, wanting to uncover the truth.
Suddenly—
A body flew through the air and slamd into the ground, already lifeless.
Then, a voice rang out.
"A bunch of lowly natives dare to challenge the Ōtsutsuki? How ridiculous."
Su Xiuyu froze.
"Today, I'll wipe out you blasphers who claim descent from the Sage of Six Paths!"
A crackling purple lightning spread across the battlefield, coiling around a single figure.
"God Chaser."
With a burst of speed, the man vanished, reappearing like a lightning bolt in the midst of the Hagoromo Clan, tearing through them with sheer physical force.
Su Xiuyu's heart skipped a beat.
Ōtsutsuki Kinshiki.
No wonder the Hagoromo Clan disappeared without a trace. They didn't die in so ordinary conflict. They were hunted down—exterminated by an Ōtsutsuki.
If Kinshiki spotted him now, he'd be in serious trouble. His only option would be to force the system to teleport him away.
Not willing to take that risk, Su Xiuyu imdiately used the Earth Bending. Within seconds, he had burrowed hundreds of ters underground, transforming himself into a rock formation.
Only then did he finally feel a bit safer.
