And so, the night deepened, the guests left, and Darkness and I decided to spend our wedding night at the Dustiness family's main residence.
After bathing, we sat on the bed in the sa room. Contrary to her personality, Darkness looked extrely nervous.
"This is unexpected. I thought you wouldn't be nervous about sothing like this."
"Ugh... this is my first ti too, so I'm embarrassed..."
Darkness was a bit reserved at first, but as she grew more accustod, she revealed her true nature. We ended up enjoying SM play all night long. It was morning by the ti we finished.
It was my first ti enjoying SM play too, and it was a new and very exciting experience. What most won would dislike, Darkness enjoyed and accepted, so it wasn't bad.
However, the room, not to ntion the bed, was a complete ss. While Darkness was showering, I had to use [Life Magic] to clean and tidy up a bit. Then I also washed up, and we went to eat together. Ignis greeted us warmly.
"I hope you had a good wedding night."
"Haah~ I never imagined Tae-jin had this side to him. Father, I think this marriage was a really good idea."
With a very flushed face, Darkness spoke to Ignis. Ignis was extrely flustered.
"I-I see... I'm glad. Now, eat your al and get ready for your honeymoon trip."
"Yes, I understand."
After enjoying our al, we changed clothes and went to Axel Village. When we arrived ho, Kazuma and the others were finishing their travel preparations.
"You're here! We're ready too. I think we can leave now."
Luna had decided not to co on this trip. We had talked about it yesterday; it was also Darkness's and my honeymoon, and she said she had a lot of work at the Guild and couldn't help it. So she had urgently arranged for soone to ask Helen to look after the house with her.
Co to think of it, I've never taken a trip alone with Luna. I'll have to take her on a trip soti.
We gathered our luggage and headed to the carriage that would take us to Arcanletia. As soon as we arrived, Aqua, excited, started choosing which carriage to take.
"Tae-jin~! Let's take this carriage. This size should be plenty for all of us."
The carriage Aqua chose had a wooden fra and walls made of thick cloth to reduce weight. It seed like it would be more than enough for us. But it didn't look very comfortable.
When I go to the MCU, I need to make so fantasy or martial arts-style horses and carriages too, I'll probably be busy repairing things and making what I need.
At any rate, I looked at the other carriages, but there seed to be no alternative, so I decided to rent that entire carriage. After I paid and returned to the carriage, Aqua and Kazuma were fighting again, apparently over who would sit by the window.
"I called dibs on the window seat!"
"What are you talking about? Those kinds of things should be decided fairly."
"Then let's decide with rock-paper-scissors!"
"Fine, Aqua! Rock-paper-scissors, right?"
It seed Aqua had made a mistake again. She could never beat Kazuma at rock-paper-scissors. Kazuma, seemingly confident of victory, showed a faint smile.
"Fine! Let's do it quickly."
Rock-paper-scissors!
We all played rock-paper-scissors, but as expected, we couldn't beat Kazuma. Everyone threw paper, but Kazuma alone threw scissors, winning in one go.
"As expected, the window seat is mine."
Aqua couldn't accept it and threw a tantrum.
"Wait! Who said it was single elimination!!"
At that, Kazuma looked at Aqua with pity and said,
"Then do you want to have a match with ? If you win even once out of three matches, I'll give you the window seat."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
Aqua smiled, seemingly confident of victory.
"Hmph! Do you know probability calculations?"
"Yeah."
"Kazuma winning three tis in a row is incredibly unlikely!"
Then Kazuma took a deep breath, assud a serious expression, and got into a rock-paper-scissors stance.
"I've never lost at rock-paper-scissors."
Without any surprise, Kazuma won consecutively. Then Aqua clung to Kazuma and begged for one more try.
"This doesn't make sense!! It's weird!!! You cheated, right? Please! Just once, just one more ti!"
"Are you sure? This is the last ti!"
"Got you, Kazuma! I don't know what kind of cheating you were doing, but if that's how you want to play, I have my own ideas!"
Aqua used the luck-increasing magic [Blessing] on herself and challenged Kazuma, but again, Kazuma won.
"Why!!!"
"Like I said before, I've never lost at rock-paper-scissors since I was a kid."
"You dirty cheater! What is that! That's cheap! That's a cheat ability! So you were a naturally gifted cheater? Then my wonderful divine grace is void, void! Send back to heaven right now, you damn cheater!"
Hearing that, Kazuma, with an angry face, retorted at Aqua.
"What are you saying, you damn bitch! So my special ability is winning at rock-paper-scissors!? Are you an idiot!! How am I supposed to fight monsters with that!! What makes angriest is you calling yourself a divine grace! Ah, don't make laugh! What grace! If I could return you and get a special ability instead, I would have returned you a long ti ago!!"
Aqua grabbed Kazuma by the collar and shook him.
"You! You! You! Don't you know there are things you can say and things you can't!!!"
Kazuma, not backing down, grabbed both of Aqua's cheeks and pulled them.
"You bastard!!!"

"Stop!! Stop pulling!!!"
gumin, Yunyun, and Darkness looked at Kazuma and Aqua with expressions of utter disbelief. I went and bought a large amount of boxed lunches and snacks and put them in my inventory. Fortunately, food in Konosuba was clean and generally didn't taste bad, so I decided to just buy the boxed lunches sold there.
When I returned to the carriage, I saw that Kazuma had ended up with the window seat, and Aqua was sitting in a corner. I took out thick cushions from my inventory and gave one to each of them. Kazuma, happily receiving his cushion, asked,
"Wow~ When did you prepare these? I was really wishing for a cushion just now."
"When I went to the Royal Capital by carriage before, it was tough. So I prepared them in advance."
"As expected, Tae-jin is thorough with this kind of preparation. I'll use it well."
We spread out the cushions and all sat down. After a short wait, the coachman leading the front carriage shouted loudly,
"Departing for Arcanletia~!!"
Then the carriages began to move in order. The ride was definitely not comfortable, but with the cushions, it was bearable. Everyone looked at the scenery with excited expressions.
"You can't travel without snacks. Let's eat these as we go."
I took out so of the snacks and jerky I had bought earlier and handed them out. Reminded of the past, Kazuma and Darkness spoke.
"It reminds of going on a train trip in Japan when I was little."
"It reminds of the first ti I went to the Royal Capital. Traveling like this once in a while might be nice."
"Indeed."
Just then, gumin asked Darkness with sparkling eyes,
"How was your first wedding night? Please tell us."
Darkness's face turned red and she was flustered, but she didn't talk about that night.
"Ahaha, well... gumin, you're still young, so it's hard to say. I hope you understand."
"Tch! I'm all grown up too."
In the end, gumin gave up on hearing about the wedding night. The truth would have been shocking for gumin. It would have been hard for Darkness to talk about it too.
Just then, Kazuma looked out the window and said to ,
"Huh? Tae-jin, do you see that?"
I stood up, went to the window where Kazuma was, used [Clairvoyance], and looked at the place he was pointing.
"Those are a flock of 'Run, Run, Goshawk'."
"Run, Run, Goshawk? What are those?"
"They have eagle heads and ostrich bodies. They're unique in that they elect a king. They race at full speed towards a very hard target and dodge right before impact, and the one that succeeds the most tis becos king."
"Is that so? But why do they seem to be coming toward us?"
As Kazuma said, the flock of 'Run, Run, Goshawk' was definitely running toward us.
"You're right. We need to tell the coachn imdiately."
We quickly inford the coachn. The coachn, seeing the flock of goshawks, quickly stopped the carriages and inford the other coachn. Then the adventurer party guarding the carriages ca out to protect them. Just then, Kazuma glanced at Darkness and asked ,
"Tae-jin, what exactly do you an by 'hard target'?"
"Hmm... I've heard that the whole flock searches for minerals as hard as 'Adamantite' to elect their king..."
"Could it be Darkness's hard muscles?"
Hearing that, Darkness's expression hardened and she said,
"Hey~ Kazuma. I'm a woman too. Don't call them hard muscles. And my armor is a special blend with a small amount of Adamantite. That must be why they're coming this way."
"So it's our fault the goshawk flock is coming this way. We should go out and stop them too."
We also got out of the carriage and prepared to fight. The coachman hurriedly tried to stop us.
"Custors! You paid your fare, so please stay sowhere safe...!"
"Don't worry. We're adventurers active in the Royal Capital."
I reassured the coachman and called out to Yunyun.
"Yunyun! Let's dig a trap. It seems they're targeting Darkness, so they should be easy to herd."
"Okay."
Yunyun and I used [Bottomless Swamp] magic to hastily create a U-shaped swamp, with Darkness at the open end. We had made a similar trap when catching the Bone Dragon, so Yunyun understood imdiately and could make the trap quickly. As expected, after working together for so long, we worked well together.
"Yunyun, prepare Explosion magic!"
"Okay! Co to think of it, this is my first ti using it since learning it."
"Yeah. gumin is watching too, so show off."
"I'll do my best."
As we prepared quickly and efficiently, Kazuma and the others, and the other adventurers, just watched blankly. Then, the lead goshawk saw Darkness and entered the U-shape.
As a few fell into the swamp, the ones behind realized it was a swamp and stopped abruptly, but the ones behind them kept pushing, causing a traffic jam. When they were stuck, I imdiately signaled to Yunyun.
"Now, Yunyun!!"
"Explosion!!"
KABOOM!!
Yunyun's Explosion magic was indeed a bit less powerful than gumin's, but it was enough to take out the entire clustered flock of goshawks. After we finished off all the goshawks, Kazuma was amazed.
"Wow~ Amazing! So this is the power of a party active in the Royal Capital. The coordination is incredible."
"Hmph! But your Explosion magic gets a 6 out of 10. Keep practicing, Yunyun!"
Even though gumin said that, she seed quite surprised that Yunyun could use Explosion magic.
"Well done, Yunyun!! As expected of the Crimson Mage."
"Heheh! Crimson Mage."
The adventurers and rchants crowded around Yunyun to praise her. Yunyun, perhaps receiving praise from so many people for the first ti, was extrely embarrassed.
"I didn't know the famous adventurers, the Silver Flash and the Crimson Mage, were here. Thank you for your help. As your reputation suggests, you were splendid."
"Not at all. It was only natural to help."
"We'll have 'Run, Run, Goshawk' for dinner tonight. We'll pick the best ones and cook them for you."
"Thank you."
And so, the rchant representative went off to cook. Seeing this, Kazuma approached and quietly said,
"Tae-jin, is this okay? The goshawk flock clearly ca because of Darkness."
"In this kind of situation, it's best to just pretend not to know. Honestly, we didn't know for sure, and we resolved it anyway."
"Y-yeah, I guess. But sohow, it feels wrong."
Hearing him say that, Kazuma was certainly a good person. His problem was just that he was a bit too instinct-driven.
We enjoyed a delicious al of goshawk at. Aqua, as expected when people gathered, put on a show with party magic. gumin gave a lecture on Explosion magic to Yunyun. Yunyun was amazing for listening so patiently. The rchant representative ca to give us money as thanks, but we refused. I had a conscience too.
We spread out blankets on the ground and prepared to sleep. In most worldviews, camping like this was done by forming the carriages into a circle like a fortress to block out large animals and monsters, and people rested inside.
Darkness and I lay down in the sa blanket. Looking up at the stars, Darkness asked about her party.
"Tae-jin, soday, will our party be able to be active in the Royal Capital like you guys?"
"Yeah, it's possible. But I think you guys still don't trust each other enough. If you trusted each other a little more and each did your best, I think you could beco a good party."
"Yeah, I think so too."
Just then, using [Observation Color], I felt a group slowly walking toward our campsite. I got up and used Clairvoyance to identify the group. Darkness asked what was wrong.
"Huh? Tae-jin? What's going on?"
"An undead horde is coming toward our campsite. Warn the others."
Hearing that, Darkness also got up and warned the others. Before Aqua could act, I started dealing with the undead horde as much as possible with [Sacred Turn Undead].
Even if Aqua gained experience points, her stats wouldn't change, so it was much more beneficial for to get the experience. After I had almost finished off the undead horde, Aqua joined in and mopped up the remaining undead.
"As expected of you, you're amazing. We ended up relying on you again this ti. This ti, please let us give you a reward..."
"Not at all. In a place like this, we should help each other."
The rchant representative tried to give us a reward again, thanking us, but I refused again. Knowing that the undead had been drawn to us because of Aqua, I couldn't bring myself to accept it.
