However, their luck didn't seem to improve. Not long after they set out, the sky suddenly beca overcast, and bean-sized raindrops began to fall, pattering down. The rain hit their faces, stinging sharply. With nowhere to take shelter, they had no choice but to push on through the rain.

The rain quickly soaked their clothes, and the cold seeped straight into their hearts through their bodies. Their steps beca heavier and each step increasingly difficult. But they knew they couldn't stop—once they stopped, the harsh weather and darkness could swallow them whole.

"Jingqi, I… I really can't walk anymore." Xu An's voice carried a sob, his body swaying as if about to collapse at any mont.

Shen Jingqi walked over to him, steadied his shoulder: "Hang on a bit longer, Xu An. We can't give up. As long as we keep going, we will definitely find that organization."

Encouraged by Shen Jingqi, Xu An bit his lip and continued forward. Supporting each other, they trudged through the rain with difficulty. The rain blurred their vision, but they still did not give up, holding only one goal in their hearts—to find that organization.

Finally, by chance, they discovered a hidden trail. The trail was lined with weeds, seeming rarely trodden. Filled with anticipation, they followed the path ahead.

After walking for an unknown length of ti, a deep mountain appeared before them. The mountain soared into the clouds, shrouded in mist as if concealing countless secrets. And the base of the organization they sought lay hidden within this mountain.

As they approached the mountain, they found the area filled with various traps and defensive fortifications. Sharp wooden stakes protruded from the ground, thick ropes stretched across paths, and traps lay hidden in the grass. Cautiously, they maneuvered around these obstacles, every step filled with trepidation.

Upon entering the base, the leader appeared before them again. The leader was still clad in a long black robe, their face obscured by a cold mask, with only a pair of deep, piercing eyes visible.

"Have you made up your minds?" the leader asked them, their voice calm and cold, devoid of any emotion.

Shen Jingqi and Xu An exchanged a glance, then nodded resolutely. Their eyes were full of determination, seemingly ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. "We are willing to join you and fight against the chanical Giants," Shen Jingqi declared, his voice trembling slightly yet filled with resolve.

A brief satisfaction flashed in the leader's eyes, like a teor streaking across the night sky. "Good, welco to the organization. But I must remind you, joining ans you'll face unprecedented dangers. You must constantly remain vigilant and improve your abilities to survive in this perilous world."

Shen Jingqi and Xu An nodded, eyes full of resolve and determination. They understood the road ahead was long, filled with unknowns and challenges. They might encounter more powerful chanical Giants or engage in internal struggles within the organization. But they were prepared. No matter the difficulty, they wouldn't give up.

After joining the organization, they began rigorous training. Before dawn each day, they rose for physical exercise. Running, push-ups, sit-ups… each exercise leaving them exhausted. They knew only with strong bodies could they survive battles with the chanical Giants.

Besides physical training, they had to learn various combat techniques. How to use weapons, evade chanical Giant attacks, coordinate with teammates… each skill required repeated practice until mastered.

During training, they also t like-minded companions. There was a girl nad Lin Yue, smart and adept at handling various electronic devices. Another was a boy nad Chen Yu, imnsely strong and a forefront in battles. They trained and grew together, forging deep friendships.

However, calm days didn't last long. One day, the leader summoned them with a grim expression. "Just received news—a group of chanical Giants is approaching our base. They seem well prepared, more nurous than ever before." The leader's voice was low and serious.

Shen Jingqi and Xu An felt a tightness in their hearts, knowing a fierce battle was imminent. They gripped their weapons tightly, eyes filled with determination and resolve.

"Everyone, prepare. We must defend our base well," the leader instructed, eyes exuding authority.

Everyone swiftly took action, returning to their posts. Shen Jingqi and Xu An were positioned behind the base's fortifications, tasked with preventing the chanical Giants from breaking through.

Soon, a roar sounded in the distance—the noise like thunder, deafening, causing the ground to tremble slightly. A group of chanical Giants marched toward the base—a formidable sight with tall, nacing bodies flashing cold tallic gleams, eyes glowing red, like demons from Hell.

"Prepare for battle!" Shen Jingqi shouted, his voice echoing in the air.

Everyone raised their weapons, aiming at the chanical Giants. At the leader's command, the battle erupted. Bullets rained down on the chanical Giants, laser beams streaked dazzlingly through the air.

The chanical Giants fought fiercely, swinging their massive arms at the fortifications. Each strike caused tremors, so areas even cracking, teetering on collapse.

Shen Jingqi and Xu An cooperated closely, continually dodging chanical Giant attacks while seeking counterattack opportunities. Suddenly, a chanical Giant charged at them—its speed swift, arriving in a blink.

Shen Jingqi was startled, swiftly pulling Xu An aside. The chanical Giant's arm brushed past, stirring a gust of wind. Just as they caught their breath, another chanical Giant lunged from the side.

"Watch out!" Xu An shouted, forcefully pushing Shen Jingqi away, getting hit by the chanical Giant's attack, his body sent flying, landing heavily.

"Xu An!" Shen Jingqi shouted, filled with anger and anxiety, rushing toward Xu An oblivious to his own safety.

At that mont, he noticed a weakness in the chanical Giant that attacked Xu An—the energy core on its body, a hit there would disable it.

Shen Jingqi took a deep breath, gripping his weapon tightly, aiming for the energy core. Then, he pulled the trigger fiercely. A laser beam shot out, hitting the energy core accurately.

With a bang, the chanical Giant exploded, debris scattering everywhere. Shen Jingqi had no ti to celebrate, hastily running to Xu An's side, helping him up.

"Xu An, are you okay?" Shen Jingqi asked anxiously.

Xu An gritted his teeth, enduring the pain: "I'm fine, I can still fight."
