Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue stood in place, their gazes fixed in the direction where the White-clothed Immortal had vanished, unable to co back to their senses for a long ti. The elegant image of that Immortal riding the clouds had planted a burning seed in their hearts.

"We've really embarked on the road of cultivation." Lin Yue said softly, her voice carrying a hint of uncontrollable excitent, her eyes shining as if she could already see herself flying with a sword and slaying demons in the future.

Shen Jingqi nodded vigorously, clenching his fist: "That's right."

The two exchanged smiles and turned to embark on a new journey. However, they did not notice that, in the shadows of the forest not far away, several pairs of eyes were watching them intensely. Those gazes were cold and greedy, like starving wolves eyeing their prey about to fall into their grasp.

They walked along a winding path, surrounded by dense trees, with occasional cries of unknown birds breaking the forest silence. Shen Jingqi observed everything around him with curiosity as he walked, his heart filled with wonder about the unknown world.

"Do you think there will be many magical treasures and spirit beasts in this Immortal Cultivation World?" Shen Jingqi asked with so excitent.

Lin Yue tilted her head, imagining: "Definitely, maybe we'll even encounter a super cute spirit pet to accompany us on our adventures."

Just as they were chatting and laughing, suddenly, a gust of cold wind blew through, rustling the leaves around them. Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue instinctively stopped in their tracks, warily looking around.

"Do you feel sothing off?" Lin Yue asked softly, her voice tinged with a bit of nervousness.

Shen Jingqi frowned, his intuition telling him that danger was quietly approaching. He tightened his grip on his sword and said in a low voice, "Be careful; there might be danger."

As soon as the words were out, several shadowy figures darted out from the forest with incredible speed, instantly surrounding them. Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue focused their eyes and saw that these shadows were agile, their faces masked with black cloth, exposing only cold eyes that exuded a fierce aura.

"Who are you? Why are you blocking our way?" Shen Jingqi shouted loudly, trying to intimidate the other party with his montum.

One of the black-clad figures sneered, "Humph, you two kids, hand over your treasures obediently, and maybe we'll spare your lives."

Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue exchanged a glance, understanding in their hearts that these people were obviously after the things they carried. But having just entered the Cultivation Realm, they had nothing valuable on them except a few ordinary clothes.

"We have no treasures; you must have the wrong people." Lin Yue said fearlessly, straightening her back.

The black-clad n evidently didn't believe them. One of the tall ones stepped forward, saying viciously, "Cut the nonsense, hand it over or don't bla us for being ruthless."

Saying that, the black-clad man swung his large knife at Shen Jingqi. Shen Jingqi dodged the strike, drew his sword, and engaged in a fierce battle with the assailant.

Lin Yue was not to be outdone; she drew the soft whip from her waist and joined the fight. Her whip danced like a serpent, striking at the surrounding black-clad n. For a mont, the sound of blades and swords clashing echoed through the woods, along with shouts and cries of battle.

However, these black-clad n seed to be more than ordinary bandits; they were highly skilled and coordinated. Gradually, Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue began to struggle to keep up. One of the assailants caught Shen Jingqi off guard, attacking him from behind and landing a palm on his back. Shen Jingqi felt a pressure in his chest, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

"Jingqi!" Lin Yue exclaid in alarm, her heart filled with anxiety. She charged at the black-clad assailant who attacked Shen Jingqi, brandishing her whip with no regard for her own safety.

Just as Lin Yue was about to reach the assailant, a white light suddenly flashed, and a figure appeared in front of them. The figure, holding a long sword, flickered with sword light, instantly driving away the surrounding black-clad n.

The assailants, realizing the situation was unfavorable, exchanged glances and quickly turned to disappear into the forest.

Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue breathed a sigh of relief, looking at the figure before them with gratitude.

"Thank you, senior, for saving our lives." Shen Jingqi cupped his fists, his voice carrying a hint of weakness.

The figure slowly turned around to reveal a young and handso face, with eyes deep and mysterious. He looked at Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue and smiled slightly, "No need to thank . I was just passing by and lent a hand when I saw you in trouble."

Lin Yue asked curiously, "Senior, are you also a cultivator? How did you appear here?"

The young man nodded, "Yes, I'm also a cultivator. As for why I'm here, that's a long story. But you two kids, having just entered the Immortal Cultivation Realm and already being targeted, it seems there's more to it than ets the eye."

Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue were shocked, realizing that this encounter was no coincidence. The young man continued, "These black-clad n have a special aura. The reason they're targeting you might have sothing to do with your backgrounds."

"Backgrounds?" Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue exchanged glances.

The young man looked at them and said, "You are weak now and can't handle these dangers. I can take you to a safe place where you can first enhance your skills."

Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue hesitated, unsure whether to trust this young man. But they currently had no better options, so they could only nod.

Thus, the young man led them away from the forest, heading in a mysterious direction. Along the way, the young man introduced them to so basic knowledge and rules of the Cultivation Realm, giving them a deeper understanding of the cultivation world.

They arrived at a secluded mountain surrounded by clouds and abundant Spiritual Qi. The young man led them into a hidden cave, which was exquisitely arranged with places for cultivation as well as rooms for rest.

"You can stay here for now. I'll teach you so basic cultivation techniques and magic," the young man said.

Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue were deeply grateful and began learning the arts of cultivation under the young man's guidance. Under the mysterious person's instruction, their skills gradually improved. However, their curiosity and doubts only grew.

They discovered that the young man seed particularly interested in their backgrounds, frequently inquiring indirectly about their childhoods. Moreover, each ti the night fell silent, the young man would leave the cave alone, whereabouts unknown.

Once, Shen Jingqi and Lin Yue secretly followed the young man to find out what he was up to. They followed him to a valley, where he stood before a massive stone, muttering incantations.

Suddenly, the stone emitted a glow, revealing a mysterious portal. The young man entered without hesitation, disappearing into the portal.
