Shen Jingqi was shocked upon hearing this. He never expected Li Baiyu's family to possess such advanced technology, nor did he expect Uncle Li's coma to be related to such a device.

He looked at Li Baiyu, his gaze filled with complex emotions. This was the first ti Li Baiyu had proactively ntioned her family, and he hadn't expected her to have such a mysterious background.

Li Baiyu clenched her fists tightly, her eyes revealing a sense of determination and resolve. She knew she could no longer keep it a secret at this mont. She took a deep breath and slowly began to speak, "Shen Jingqi, there are things I must tell you. About my family, about this device, and about Uncle Li's coma..."

Shen Jingqi listened quietly, his eyes filled with confusion and curiosity. He hadn't expected that so many secrets lay hidden behind all this.

"My family is one that has inherited technology and power through generations," Li Baiyu said in a low, firm voice, "We possess advanced technology and also bear the responsibility of ensuring it is not misused. However, there are always those who, driven by greed, will stop at nothing to obtain these technologies."

Shen Jingqi felt a sense of awe upon hearing this. He looked at Li Baiyu as if he were gazing at a mysterious warrior from ancient tis.

"That device is an instrunt developed by my family to detect and control abnormal electrical signals in the human body," Li Baiyu continued, "It was originally intended for the treatnt of certain neurological disorders, but it has been maliciously used as a tool to control others."

Shen Jingqi frowned, sensing the gravity of the situation. He looked at Li Baiyu with a determined gleam in his eyes, "We must find whoever is controlling the device. We cannot let this technology fall into the hands of evildoers."

Li Baiyu nodded.

"But first, we need to locate the control center of that device," Li Baiyu said, "Only by finding it can we trace the whereabouts of the controller."

Upon hearing this, Shen Jingqi felt a surge of determination. He looked at Li Baiyu, his eyes shining with the resolve of a warrior, "Let's go together."

Li Baiyu stepped up to the machine and began to operate it. She skillfully input a series of commands and then waited for the result. Shen Jingqi stood by, watching her tensely. He didn't know what kind of answer the machine would give, nor what consequences that answer might bring.

Finally, the machine emitted a soft sound, and a set of data appeared on the screen. Li Baiyu looked at the data, a hint of surprise flashing in her eyes. She turned to look at Shen Jingqi and then slowly said, "The electrical signals in Uncle Li's body are indeed related to this device."

Li Baiyu's gaze beca profound, as if she were recalling sothing: "Before Uncle Li fell into a coma, he might have co into contact with so unusual people. Their identities were mysterious, and their behavior was odd. I felt sothing was wrong at the ti; thinking back now, it likely has sothing to do with these abnormal electrical signals."

Shen Jingqi frowned, looking at Li Baiyu with a puzzled expression, "Are you saying Uncle Li was affected by these signals, and that's why he fell into a coma?"

Li Baiyu nodded and then shook her head, "We cannot be certain yet, but we first need to find the source of these signals. Only then can we find a way to wake Uncle Li."

Shen Jingqi took a deep breath, feeling the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. He looked at Li Baiyu, his eyes gleaming with determination, "Let's find it together—we'll definitely find it."

Li Baiyu smiled faintly and pressed a button on the machine. The machine instantly started up with a deep rumbling sound. Shen Jingqi watched the flickering indicator lights nervously, filled with anticipation.

However, the machine suddenly issued a sharp alarm. Shen Jingqi jumped in surprise and looked at Li Baiyu, whose expression had also beco serious.

"What's wrong?" Shen Jingqi asked urgently.

Li Baiyu stared at the display screen on the machine, her brow furrowed, "There's an abnormal signal, very strong, right inside the villa."

Upon hearing this, Shen Jingqi felt his heart tighten. He looked around, trying to find the source of the signal. However, apart from the two of them and the machine, there was nothing in the secret room.

"Could the signal be elsewhere?" Shen Jingqi speculated.

Li Baiyu nodded and swiftly pressed a button, revealing a map on the machine's display screen. A red dot was flashing on the map, situated precisely in the villa's basent.

"The basent?" Shen Jingqi frowned, "Hardly anyone goes there normally, so why would there be an abnormal signal?"

Li Baiyu didn't answer; she turned and headed towards the exit of the secret room, "We'll know when we go and see."

Shen Jingqi followed closely behind as the two of them walked through the long corridor to the entrance of the basent. The door to the basent was tightly closed, as if hiding so unspeakable secret.

Li Baiyu pushed the door open, and a cold breath swept in. She turned on a flashlight to illuminate the path ahead. Shen Jingqi followed closely behind as they cautiously entered the basent.

The basent was cluttered with so odds and ends, and the air was thick with a damp, musty odor. Shen Jingqi looked around, trying to locate the source of the abnormal signal. Yet, there was nothing here but junk and dust.

"Could the signal not be here?" Shen Jingqi asked doubtfully.

Li Baiyu shook her head and walked to a corner, illuminating it with her flashlight. Shen Jingqi followed her gaze to see a seemingly ordinary box lying there quietly.

"Open it," Li Baiyu instructed, pointing at the box.

Shen Jingqi stepped forward and forcefully lifted the lid of the box. However, the box was empty inside, containing nothing at all.

"This..." Shen Jingqi was stunned. He looked at Li Baiyu, his eyes filled with confusion.

Li Baiyu seed unsurprised. She approached the box, gently caressing its inner wall. Suddenly, her fingers stopped at a spot where there was a tiny switch.

"It's right here," Li Baiyu said softly and pressed the switch.

Shen Jingqi saw a hidden compartnt suddenly pop out from the bottom of the box, revealing a device glowing faintly. He stared at the device, a surge of unease rising in his heart.

"This is the source of the signal," Li Baiyu's voice was low and resolute, "We need to find its controller."

Shen Jingqi nodded, looking at the device with a determined gleam in his eyes, "We'll definitely find it."

However, at that mont, the basent lights suddenly went out, plunging them into complete darkness. Shen Jingqi and Li Baiyu were both caught off guard, exchanging glances filled with fear.

"What's happening?" Shen Jingqi asked softly.

Li Baiyu didn't reply but quickly took out a flashlight from her pocket to illuminate the area ahead. However, the beam only lit up a small patch, leaving the basent filled with darkness and the unknown.

Li Baiyu took Shen Jingqi's hand and began heading towards the exit of the basent.
