Utaha smirked, but the battle was far from over.

Miko, anwhile, had been watching with a complicated expression.

She wanted to follow Utaha's lead.

But with Yurikawa Hana sitting right there, she hesitated.

Sensing her friend's internal struggle, Miko nudged Hana's arm.

"Hana, are you okay?"

"Ah—!" Yurikawa snapped out of her daze. "I-I was just… thinking!"

Her hands clutched at the fabric of her sleeves.

"It felt like I was watching a superhero movie…" she muttered.

Then, eyes sparkling, she blurted out—

"Ryuu-kun, your giant was SO COOL! It could fly! And the sword slashes—oh my god, they were amazing!!"

Miko sighed, rubbing her temples. "You're way too excited, Hana."

"But it was so cool!!" Hana threw her arms into the air dramatically.

Miko simply smiled fondly.

Hana had co a long way from the timid girl she used to be.

Even so, when Miko ntioned how many people could've died if civilians had still been in Shinjuku, Hana froze.

"Oh… right. That wasn't just so movie, was it?"

By 9 PM, Miko and Hana decided to head ho.

He pulled both of them down onto the couch.

"It's Christmas Eve. Let's all enjoy it together."
