She could see why Phyllida had co up with a plan like this.

Amongst them are people with technique that focuses on speed, they would have carefully tid the exact mont to burst out if they had used a tir for it.
And amongst the students were also people with techniques that charges up their montum with ti, the longer that charged it for, the faster or stronger they would beco but such techniques hadms thuer limits. As one could only charge for at most 10secinds.
But still, that would be considered cheatung to other students who are stronger. So sothing as unexpected as a crickets chirp was definitely a great idea as it would be unexpected and surprising.
