That did not sound right. The Queen was already gone, and he was the heir, and his mother had not made any mistake so she should be granted the title of Queen, for reputation’s sake at least. Why didn’t they make it?
Honored Princess Jing looked at Zhou Huailing and said with a guilty tone, “I am not capable enough to help you son! I have been in the court for so many years and I have not thought about getting any more titles, but I feel concerned for you! I am so sorry that your mother is just a princess, so I went to the Empress Dowager for help and hoped that she could help us!”
“But the Empress Dowager is, after all, the Empress Dowager, not your mother. She doesn’t care about you, nor does she help . You are the heir, and they would like to train you for a while before giving you the best things.”
“You married the Phoenix Girl, and you are young and capable, the Empress Dowager and the King like you, but still are defensive against you.” Honored Princess Jing reminded him.
Zhou Huailing was extrely surprised.
