Gu Chaoyan frowned tightly.
Mrs. Gu had been cringing a few days ago, but now she was becoming arrogant again.
Gu Chaoyan smiled sinisterly at Mrs. Gu. “Auntie Gu, are you cursing at my father or Mada Gu? If I am nobody, who do you think they are?”
“You...” Mrs. Gu got stuck for words.
She snapped out of anger and that was how she used to curse her too. However, this ugly girl was now getting quite a sharp tongue and started to counter her! So what she said was indeed improper.
Mrs. Gu snorted. She looked at Gu Chaoyan fiercely. “Don’t you dare chew on words with here. You have made such a huge mistake, go and explain to Mada Gu. She is waiting for you at the front yard.”
As she finished saying the words, she turned a friendly face to Huo Wei and said with a gentle tone, “I am sorry, Miss. Huo for putting on such a stupid show in front of you. We still have other affairs to deal with at ho, so I can see you off at the door personally.”
Huo Wei did not mind. She had reached her goal by coming here, when she knew that Madam Gu was going to punish Gu Chaoyan.

With a satisfied look on her face, Huo Wei said, “Mrs. Gu, I am off now. But you definitely have to punish this girl for what she has done. County Princess Anxi is not an ordinary lady. If the Elder Princess is displeased, the whole Gu Mansion is going down. It would be too bad if Ruxue’s marriage is ruined too.”
Before she left, Huo Wei stressed this. Then she left with satisfaction.
Hearing these words, Mrs. Gu looked serious.
Ruxue was their only hope, and she was not going to let Gu Chaoyan ruin Ruxue. She was definitely going to find a way to talk Madam Gu into driving her out. If she was no longer a mber of the Gu Family, Ruxue would not be affected.
With these ideas in mind, Mrs. Gu threw an even fiercer look upon Gu Chaoyan. She looked as if she wanted to take a bite of her. She said with displeasure, “What are you standing here for? Go to the front yard to et Mada Gu!”
Gu Chaoyan shrugged. Then she took off and headed towards the front yard.
She was not scared of this matter that seed to affect the Gu Family so much.
She was no longer the girl that had just ti travelled here, who had a weak physical condition and nothing in store. She was not going to be bullied easily.
The mont she entered the hall, Gu Chaoyan could feel the dead silence that dominated the place.
Madam Gu’s filthy eyes were on Gu Chaoyan. She had put so hope in her, but now, this girl had disappointed her badly.

“Kneel down now!” Mada Gu bellowed.
Gu Chaoyan glanced about and knew that Madam Gu was ordering her to kneel down, but she was not kneeling to anyone.
“What mistake did I make?” Gu Chaoyan asked, refusing to kneel down.
“You have made a huge mistake! You should never have irritated County Princess Anxi!” Mada Gu got so angry that she was shaking thoroughly. “Now, go and ask for punishnt at Elder Princess’s mansion and beg County Princess Anxi for rcy!”
