So she hoped that Chenyi would marry soone who could help him. When she t Gu Chaoyan for the first ti, she did not know Gu Chaoyan's background, thus staying very defensive against her. She even said so hurtful and intimidating words to her.
As a result, Gu Chaoyan did not want to have anything to do with Duke North Mansion, and her son Chenyi had no chance with her any more.

Everything is ruined now! I must have owed you so much in my last life for to be your son now!" Zheng Chenyi said with gritted teeth. He sounded extrely resentful.
Mada Zheng was shocked. She lost focus in her eyes.
She seed to have beco totally soulless.
Zheng Chenyi did not even want to look at her any more, as if she would make him puke.
If not for the banquet's rule about bringing their families, he would not have taken her out of the mansion.
Disgusted, Zheng Chenyi got up and wanted to catch up with Gu Chaoyan. He wanted to watch her and see if they could exchange a few words.
He wondered who the man behind her was. He had never t him before, and he seed like an unkind man.

Gu Chaoyan left directly.
Ouyang Mingjing was stopped.
"Mr. Head, can I have a few words with you?" Elder Qianji said, looking friendly.
"Oh yeah?" Ouyang Mingjing stopped, waiting for him to say sothing else.
Elder Qianji looked about.
That was not the right place to discuss things.
He thought for a while and said, "There is a pavilion not far from here. let's have a talk with people from the Cangyan Door over there, okay?"
Elder Qianji sounded very respectful. After all, he was worried that the Head of the Snow would not agree, but they from Piaomiao Pavilion had to lead the case, rather than those from the Cangyan Door.
