Seeing Chen Fu, Gu Zhenkang was furious. It was so ssy in the mansion, and yet he was not dealing with them and was instead hanging out with people from Dali Temple! Was he trying to be lazy?
Those servants were feeding on the mansion but never worked hard.
"What are you doing? It is so ssy in the mansion. You are the housekeeper and yet you are doing nothing about it?" Gu Zhenkang glared at Chen Fu who approached him. He shouted furiously.
If not for this lazy housekeeper, the mansion would not have beco so ssy.
The more he thought about this, the more annoyed Gu Zhenkang felt, especially today when sothing happened to Ruxue and Yunhe, whilst Gu Chaoyan kept ntioning about her birth mother. Nothing was making him happy or assured. And those servants… They were so well-treated by the mansion but never worked hard.
The frightened Chen Fu would have retreated in the past, but today, he was approaching Gu Zhenkang with no expression on his face. He didn't react to Gu Zhenkang's shouting, instead joining Dali Temple.

Gu Zhenkang felt very annoyed upon seeing this housekeeper wearing the sa poker face as the dumbass Gu Chaoyan. Gu Chaoyan was the Phoenix Girl whom he could not do anything about, but he was able to do everything to this servant.
He raised his legs and kicked Chen Fu right in his stomach, without showing any rcy.
Chen Fu had not expected this to happen. So he was kicked onto the ground, covering his stomach.
Chen Fu was not young any more. He had been working for the Gu Family since Mada Gu. He had been working here for decades, and gray hair was growing out of his temples. He looked tired and old. He had been mistreated by the masters and mistresses of Gu Mansion for many years.
He had been used to that, but he was not physically strong.
He could not move as he lay on the floor. This was the very last ti he was going to be treated like this.
It was his master who kicked him. He could hit or scold him today. That was all he could do for him as a servant.
Seeing Chen Fu lying in pain, Gu Zhenkang was about to give him another kick, but before he could hit Chen Fu, people from Dali Temple stopped him. They had not stopped him the previous ti, because they thought that it was a servant's punishnt from a master. However, Officer Gu was over the top. If the servant was dead, they would lose their witness.
The leader said to Officer Gu. "Officer Gu, we don't care about your family affairs, but Chen Fu is our witness. If you kill him on site, you are bringing yourself to a very bad situation. People might think that you want to destroy the evidence!"
The leader looked polite, but spoke sharply.
