Chi Yan expressed so concern, “They’re both supposed to perform surgeries this afternoon, but instead of seeking advice from their seniors, they’re having lunch with my sister?”

Both Chi Yan and Su Qing had been very anxious all morning, seeking advice everywhere, asking many interns to introduce them to seniors experienced in neurosurgery, inquiring about their experiences.
Because of this, they had specifically invited the other interns to lunch.

Back at Nancheng dical College, Su Niannian was never very diligent, and he had never liked her.
Now, under the tutelage of Professor Han, she had perford quite ordinarily over the past few days, nowhere near the level of him and Chi Yan.
Although Su Qing had originally held so expectation for Su Niannian, seeing this, he couldn’t be bothered to pay her any more attention.
The other interns from different departnts were surprised to hear their conversation and glanced at them.
But since everyone was not very familiar with each other, and other people didn’t grasp the full situation, they didn’t interject with any reminders.

Su Niannian and Zhang Tao saw Chi Gui off before returning to put on their surgical gowns and enter the operating room.
In the operating room, Su Niannian and Su Qing had already prepared.
After a while, Professor Han and several other physicians and anesthetists also walked in.
They arrived before the patient because they needed to explain to the four interns what to pay attention to in today’s surgery.
Professor Han was always brief, getting straight to the point.
Su Niannian, Zhang Tao, Chi Yan, and Su Qing all listened intently.
Upon hearing “frontal lobe resection”, Chi Yan’s eyes lit up.
The patient had a brain tumor and required the removal of several parts, but the frontal lobe was the most difficult to operate on; one slight mistake could potentially inflict permanent damage on the patient’s mory.
When Professor Han asked how the four interns would divide the work, Chi Yan was the first to suggest, “I recomnd letting Su Niannian or Zhang Tao take on the frontal lobe resection. Their skills are better than mine and Su Qing’s, a bit safer.”
Professor Han gave Chi Yan a deep look, then glanced over the expressionless face of Su Qing, and finally rested his eyes on Su Niannian and Zhang Tao.
Zhang Tao pointed at Su Niannian, “Then let her do it.”
She claid another section almost as challenging as the frontal lobe resection.
The remaining two easier parts, Chi Yan and Su Qing picked one up casually.
At half past one, the patient was wheeled into the operating room, and the surgery started on ti.
Professor Han first had Chi Yan and Su Qing complete the two simpler sections before letting Zhang Tao step in.
It was evidently Zhang Tao’s first ti handling this section, a bit unfamiliar, but after being corrected by Professor Han a few tis, she also completed the task smoothly without incident.
After eight hours of surgery, Su Niannian took the scalpel from Zhang Tao’s hand to begin the last and most difficult section of the operation.
Chi Yan watched Su Niannian’s movents, her lips curling into a faint smile.
Even she and Su Qing might not be confident in handling this part of the surgery.
Su Niannian probably had never taken the lead in surgery and didn’t understand the difficulty, which was why she dared to take it on without hesitation.
Most likely, as soon as she made a move, she would be stopped and scolded by Professor Han.
