Chapter 308: Chapter 307: Feeling a Bit Complicated
Su Niannian was the one who opened the door.
When she saw Zhang Tao, Su Niannian greeted him with a friendly smile, “You’re here? Co in…”
Zhang Tao was sowhat nervous. He greeted Su Niannian and then went inside.
Just as she walked in, she was startled by a small desk piled with papers. Upon closer inspection, those papers were bound together in groups of several pages, with covers labeled “xx Surgery Plan,” “xx Surgery Potential Risks and Correct Response asures”…
All of them were about the surgeries they had been performing over the past two days, and many of the covers were duplicates!
Seeing Zhang Tao’s gaze, Su Niannian, sowhat exhausted, explained, “These are all assignnts Sister Chi has given … Wait a mont, Sister Chi went out for so errands and will be back soon.”
Only then did Zhang Tao realize that Chi Gui was not in the office.
She breathed a sigh of relief but, seeing the various plans and response asures piled up on Su Niannian’s desk, she was suddenly reminded of the painful experience of having her theses repeatedly rejected by her tutor.
Having shared the sa painful experiences, the two girls quickly started chatting.
By the ti Chi Gui returned, Su Niannian and Zhang Tao had already bonded as if they were old friends.
Upon seeing Chi Gui, Zhang Tao hurriedly stopped talking with Su Niannian and stood up respectfully, greeting her, “Professor Chi.”
Chi Gui nodded, “You’re here. Have you eaten?”
Zhang Tao was startled and then realized it was already noon. She shook her head.
“Then let’s go eat first, we can talk while eating, and we have two surgeries in the afternoon, so we’re on a tight schedule.”
Zhang Tao was startled again, and hurried after Chi Gui, following her to the cafeteria with Su Niannian.

“Sister Chi is really nice!” Su Niannian gently tapped Zhang Tao’s shoulder, smiling, “Don’t be nervous, it’s just the three of us, there aren’t that many rules.”

“Three months,” responded Zhang Tao.
Chi Gui nodded, “Then you will lead the first surgery this afternoon, and I will assist you.”
“Snap!”
Zhang Tao’s spoon fell into her bowl in shock as she looked at Chi Gui, “This, this… Professor Chi, I might not do well…”
Zhang Tao felt both frightened and excited. After all, every surgery perford by Chi Gui was highly sought after in their circle, an opportunity everyone dreamt of!
But Zhang Tao had never been a lead surgeon before, and starting by leading a surgery under Professor Chi, she felt imnse pressure, fearing she wouldn’t perform well and disappoint Chi Gui!
Chi Gui glanced at Zhang Tao and calmly said, “Don’t worry, I don’t expect you to do very well. It’s just a minor surgery this afternoon; what matters is that you learn enough from it.”
Zhang Tao’s emotions were mixed.
But since it was just a minor surgery… That probably wouldn’t be an issue.
Zhang Tao relaxed, completely missing the sympathetic glance from Su Niannian beside her.
