Chapter 2454: Chapter 2452: Return to the Southern Province

“Master, I’m back!”

Ethan Smith felt his eyes welling up, and shouted loudly.

The sound echoed into the distance, as two figures approached them along a small path in the back mountain.

“Ethan, it really is you! I just told my dad that I heard your voice, and he didn’t believe !”

Alfred Freeman laughed heartily and hugged Ethan tightly.

Randall Freeman smiled as he watched them, with a sowhat sentintal expression.

It had been two hundred years since the departure from Central Province. Originally, he thought he’d never see Ethan again, yet now he’s miraculously appearing at Nexinton Mountain.

“Are you looking for trouble, kid? You didn’t hear your aunt calling you?”

Salena Carpenter kicked Alfred hard, causing sweat to bead on his forehead from the pain.

Salena grabbed Randall’s beard: “Old man, did you secretly drink my wine?”

Randall’s expression froze, and he hurried to justify himself, solemnly saying no.

“Salena, my dad says your wine is too strong. He sleeps for several days every ti he drinks it, always wanting a drink but can’t handle it.”

Alfred tattled alongside them like a sycophant.

“I’ll kill you, you old thing, those are my treasured collections over the years!”

Salena flew into a rage, snatching a handful of Randall’s beard, which brought tears to his eyes from the pain.

The group burst into a noisy brawl; watching this scene, Ethan sighed lightly.

Since returning from the Ghost World, he’s been suppressing a pent-up emotion, and seeing Randall, his master, and Alfred has relieved him considerably.

That evening, Salena expertly hunted a few delicious gryphons.

Once Alfred handled the hunted ga, the group lit a bonfire and started grilling on the spot.

That night, Ethan particularly felt the urge to drink, and he didn’t stop from the start.

Emily Taylor sat worriedly beside him, gently holding Ethan’s hand.

“Ethan, speak up if sothing’s wrong—if the sky falls, there’s Master to hold it up.”

Randall, with a slightly slurred speech from drinking, repeated his words several tis before finishing his sentence.

The group hadn’t used their physical strength to combat the alcohol, so after so drinking, everyone felt a bit drunk.

“Master, this ti my Divine Soul went to the Ghost World and I saw Clay Freeman.”

Originally beaming, Alfred and Salena went silent upon hearing Clay’s na.

Randall had thought Ethan was talking nonsense after drinking too much, but seeing Ethan’s serious gaze, he realized Ethan was speaking the truth.

He fell silent, unable to speak, with his eyes unknowingly full of tears; the pain of a white-haired man sending off a black-haired one isn’t sothing everyone can understand.

“Did he say anything?”

After a long ti, Randall finally cald his emotions.

Ethan recounted the entire story of eting Clay in the Ghost World, listening to the battle with the Demon Dragon.

Beside him, Alfred clapped furiously, as if he was the one fighting bravely.

“Birth, aging, sickness, and death—this is the basic order of the Human World. Who can persist against the Path of Heaven? If Clay remains in the Ghost World rely chasing his thought power relentlessly, I’d rather he enters the cycle sooner, even if it ans turning to ashes—it’s better than endless suffering there.”

Randall pondered for a long while before speaking.

Upon hearing the order of thought power from the Ghost Race, the group finally understood how the Ghost World could survive under the suppression of the strongest Immortal Emperor of the Hominini, in such a hostile plane.

Everyone was thoroughly shocked by the order of the Ghost World; it’s essentially an order that manipulates the soul to its extres.

And it also utilizes the most horrifying ntal power among Different Races; knowing the strongest people in the Human World, each of them possesses incredibly firm willpower.

The Ghost World exploits this strength, allowing them to fully unleash their potential in pursuit of thought power, as if granting them the tiniest hope to explode with maximum potential.

“In the Ghost World, those powerful individuals I saw almost all had human figures, including the masked woman, Ken Middleton, and indeed many Different Races living beings.”

Ethan took another swig of alcohol.

“What, you actually saw Ken?” Salena exclaid in shock.

“I was able to co back thanks to Ken, but he must have paid a great price to send back. Should I see Ken again in the future, perhaps it’ll be a life-and-death battlefield between us.”

Ethan felt as if a lump was in his chest and drained the remaining wine from his jug.

Ethan’s words were too shocking; at first, Alfred thought Ethan was rambling.

Upon seeing Ethan’s serious expression, he knew Ethan wasn’t lying.

“I feel sorry for Ken.”

Silently, tears stread down Ethan’s face, realizing who had pulled him back.

He guessed it must be Ken’s rit Points; if these points were used on himself, he might have retrieved his thought power and preserved his selfhood.

But now, Ken’s thought power may have been completely stripped by the Ghost World, with no Ken remaining in the Human World.

Randall downed an entire jug of wine, placing a hand on Ethan’s shoulder.

“Actually, so things shouldn’t be thought about too deeply; thinking too deeply can entrench you in a whirlpool of contradictions, like when I accepted you as a disciple—it was after learning your past from the Pavilion Master. On one hand, cherished your talent, and on another hand, felt your solitary struggle, thinking you were too troubled, and knowing you bonded with the Freeman brothers, I wanted to share a bit of kindness.”

Randall smiled, looking at Ethan.

Ethan’s eyes reddened slightly; back then, his strength wasn’t remarkable at all.

In front of the three lunatics, three extres, one legend, he initially didn’t even have the power to oppose any of them.

Were it not for Randall, many would have already attacked.

“The matter of Clay is the sa; Master knows your ntal state, and since your return you’ve never co back. But regardless of your belief, I must say one thing: Clay’s death, I’ve never blad you. It’s a person’s fate, irreversible; soone once lost their life over my karma too. If you continually dwell on these matters, all the good tis will be wasted, and life will beco aningless.”

Randall stared into Ethan’s eyes; he knew that his disciple was deeply emotional.

If he couldn’t overco these accumulated matters, it could pose significant trouble for his future progress.

“I don’t care what Ken did it for—if he made this decision, you as friends must understand him; otherwise, his sacrifice to beco a person of the Ghost World would be wasted. Perhaps he envisions the future where he could face you, his opponent, personally, and then have a thrilled match—this might also be a satisfying affair.”

Randall shouted loudly.

“Ethan! On the Future Battlefield, don’t let Ken down! Or I’ll kick you out of the sect! Did you hear !”
