“I promise you, I’ll make the Wilson family pay,” Ethan Smith said, bending over sincerely.
Salena rely stared at Ethan for a mont before laughing. “What are you doing? Don’t interrupt my al.”
Ethan chuckled but didn’t continue the conversation, he slowly rose from his seat instead.
His mind filled with a mixture of emotions, Ethan knew he wouldn’t be able to sleep right away. So he decided to stroll around Five Mountain City after leaving the inn.
The city wasn’t as quiet as he had imagined it would be at night.
Beneath the five big mountains, people were still hard at work, mining.
Working vigorously to earn a ager amount of magic coins, these people didn’t seem too concerned about cultivating. They just wanted to live peaceful lives.
Ethan made his way to the foot of the mountain. Watching the people working diligently provoked an overwhelming feeling of emotion in his heart.
It was at this mont when Ethan sensed an unusual aura approaching Five Mountain City.
The city wasn’t that big, his divine sense could cover it completely. No one could approach without escaping his notice.
Ethan’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, he murmured to himself: “Could it be soone from the Green family?”
However, he quickly dismissed this possibility. This aura was very subtle and significantly different from those of the Green family mbers.
The closer the aura got, the more Ethan’s eyebrows furrowed.
To keep Salena out of trouble, Ethan decided to confront this oncoming threat in a more remote location away from the inn.
However, to his surprise, he realized that the aura wasn’t approaching him, instead, it was closing in on the inn!
“What?!” Ethan’s face visibly changed.
He quickly guessed what it could be-

With this realization, Ethan didn’t dare to waste any ti. He transford into a golden light, activating the line word formula under his feet, and shot towards the inn!
Before he even reached the vicinity of the inn, Ethan had already identified five suspicious presences.
These five individuals, clad in black robes, stood quietly as if waiting for sothing.
Upon spotting Ethan’s intrusion, they quickly turned their attention towards him.
“Is the demonic egg with you?” One of them questioned.
A chill ran down Ethan’s spine.
These guys were indeed after the demonic egg!
“The demonic egg is with the one nad Salena Carpenter. This lad is close with her.” Another black-robed man suddenly pointed out.
“No matter, capture him and trade him for the demonic egg.” Another man said indifferently.
Ethan stared at them coldly, responding with sarcasm: “Just the few of you?”
Their presences were subtly concealed. They didn’t seem particularly powerful upon inspection, so Ethan wasn’t worried.
Therefore, he gathered his strength, preparing to engage these figures.
But in the next second, his facial expression changed.
Before Ethan could make a move, one of the n in black robes had already appeared behind him in an unexpected manner!
His speed was extrely fast, Ethan was even unable to react in ti!

“Not good!” Ethan tried to retract his fist quickly, but the man’s grip was like an iron vise, clamping down on Ethan’s wrist, leaving no room to escape!
The group of n watched Ethan coldly, like they were watching a jesting clown.
“Who the hell are you!” Ethan demanded in shock.
The man didn’t answer, he only coldly said: “Trading you for the demonic egg doesn’t seem like a losing deal.”
They hesitated a while longer without taking action. Instead, they turned their gaze to a certain direction as if waiting for sothing.
The surrounding area fell silent, save for Ethan’s desperate struggles, there was no other sound.
At this mont, Ethan was in shock. He couldn’t comprehend what kind of existence these people were.
Their frightening power was probably not even lesser than that of Sebastian Taylor!
“Phew!”
Just then, a chilling wind blew past, causing everyone’s clothes to flutter in the wind. The icy cold seeping into their bones made everyone shiver involuntarily.
Looking onward, the black patch ahead seed like a wide bloody mouth opened up, its darkness was terrifying.
“Here it cos.” One of the black-robed n said coldly.
Upon hearing this, the black-robed man who was holding Ethan increased his grip.
“Phew….”
The wind was blowing stronger, and the previously bright skies were now covered with dark clouds.
A large cluster of dark clouds slowly drifted from afar, covering the sky and blotting out the sun.
Accompanied by the cover of dark clouds, a well-ford cultivator began appearing slowly within sight.
She slowly stepped forward from the darkness, blending in with the dark clouds in the sky, creating a surreal scene.

Ethan stared relentlessly at the figure erging from the darkness, but because of the darkness, he couldn’t get a clear look.
The more she advanced, the more her shape beca clear.
The figure had a graceful bearing. She wore a long white dress and donned a mask on her face which dimd and brightened intermittently.
“Cl…Clare Richardson!”
Ethan’s eyes bulged! The newcor was none other than Clare Richardson!
Compared to the last ti they t, Clare’s aura had beco even colder, sowhat like piercingly cold ice!
With each step that Clare took towards them, the coldness increased substantially.
“Clare!” Ethan called out anxiously. But Clare ignored him completely, rely casting a cold glance in their direction.
“Don’t move!” One of the black-robed n quickly shouted.
“I know you know this youngster. So, I suggest you better not ddle in our affairs, or else, don’t bla us for being rude!” he warned.
Clare silently glanced at the group without saying anything; it was impossible for anyone to guess what she was thinking.
“I know there has been soone keeping an eye on the demonic egg, but whoever approached the demonic egg ended up being murdered by you. That’s why we took a step ahead and caught this lad. I would love to see your next move!” One of the black-robed n sniggered.
“Indeed, if you dare to approach, we will imdiately kill this youngster!” another man in a black robe chid in!
However, at that mont, the black-robed man who had just spoken suddenly froze in place!
The next second, his expression twisted, and his body started trembling non-stop!
Before anyone could react, the black-robed man’s body exploded into a cloud of blood!
