Brother-in-law, Please Conduct Yourself With Dignity
The warm sunlight shone through the open curtains and onto the bed. The gentle curves of a bulge were visible under the soft blanket. The room was quiet and warm.
Suddenly, a calm male voice sounded out of nowhere. “Baby, it’s ti to get up. Three, two…” Before it could continue, the person on the bed imdiately sat up. “I’m awake, I’m awake…”
The male voice continued, “Wash up, go for your run, and rember to eat the breakfast on the dining table. After that, it’s free and easy. Don’t forget we’re having lunch together today.”
Ye Yao stared at the cara on the wall gloomily and nodded with complete despair. “I know, I know…”
Huo Buyu’s spoke again through the cara. “Be good…”
Ye Yao retorted, “Be good… be good, my foot. I hope sothing falls on you and crushes your skull!” He had to be crazy, waking her up so early in the morning!
As soon as Ye Yao finished speaking, the doll hanging on the wall suddenly fell on her head. “Ouch…” She threw the toy aside gloomily.
Huo Buyu’s sneer could be heard through the cara. “Ha…”
Ye Yao pursed her lips, unable to curse Huo Buyu lest it backfired! Every ti she scolded him in silence, she would be the unlucky one in the end!
She got out of bed obediently. Otherwise, Huo Buyu would certainly lose his temper again if he saw that she was still in bed. To be honest, she was quite afraid of Huo Buyu. This person was terrifyingly possessive and controlling! She was frightened enough to want to break up with him!
She washed up, went for a training run, then ate breakfast.
Ye Yao compliantly finished what Huo Buyu had scheduled for her, because the consequence of not doing so was serious. Then, she picked up her bag and left the house.
She disliked staying in the villa because there, she would be under the surveillance of that pervert, Huo Buyu, at all tis! However, as soon as she stepped out of the door, she received a ssage from Huo Buyu: [See you at the usual place at 11.30am. Don’t be late.]
Ye Yao frowned and deleted the ssage! Annoying! Very annoying! She headed to the mall for a shopping spree, spending Huo Buyu’s money. Only then did she feel a little better!
“Ye Yao…” Soone called her na from behind.
Ye Yao’s body stiffened upon hearing this voice, and her happy mood vanished instantly. She turned around and saw a face that was at once familiar yet foreign. It was Zhou Chen.
A smile spread across Zhou Chen’s handso face when he saw her turning around. He quickly took a few steps forward. “Ye Yao, it’s really you!” He wanted to give her a hug, but Ye Yao stopped him.
She smiled but appeared reserved. “Brother-in-law, please conduct yourself with dignity.”
Zhou Chen’s expression changed instantly. There was anger, guilt, and self-bla…
In silence, Ye Yao studied this face that she had been so terribly infatuated with in the past. She was surprised at how calm she was at seeing Zhou Chen again. It seed getting over soone she used to love deeply wasn’t so difficult after all.
Zhou Chen had a pained expression on his face. “Ye Yao, are you still unwilling to forgive ?”
Three months ago, Ye Yao and Zhou Chen were just getting engaged, but a few days before the engagent, Zhou Chen actually slept with her half-sister, Ye Sui, and it even made news.
In order to prevent the matter from escalating and damaging the interests of their families’ businesses, the Zhou family and the Ye family made the decision to turn Ye Yao’s and Zhou Chen’s engagent banquet into the latter’s and Ye Sui’s engagent event instead. As the hardest-hit victim of this matter, not only did Ye Yao lose her fiancé, she was forcefully sent overseas by her father. With her out of the way, Ye Sui and Zhou Chen’s engagent banquet proceeded smoothly.
Ye Yao chuckled. “What forgiveness are you talking about? I will never touch trash left behind by others.”
Zhou Chen panicked when he noticed Ye Yao’s calmness. “Ye Yao… hear out. I just couldn’t resist the temptation for a mont…”
Couldn’t resist the temptation? To think that he could say that. What kind of man couldn’t even control his own lower body? She must have been blind to have fallen in love with this man! Ye Yao rolled her eyes inwardly.
“Zhou Chen…” Ye Sui, in a white dress, walked daintily towards Zhou Chen with a smile. However, the mont she saw Ye Yao, her pupils constricted. “Ye Yao, what are you doing here!”
Ye Sui’s expression was filled with disbelief. Hadn’t Ye Yao been sent overseas for good? But why… why was she back, and not only that… she had co to the capital city!
Ye Yao took in Ye Sui’s uneasy and incredulous expression with glee. It was interesting. The Ye family would probably find it unbelievable that she had returned? Not only Ye Sui, but even she herself didn’t dare to believe that she was back.
