Chapter 516: Michale Shaw Spin-off (7) Heart Fluttering, Joy and Sorrow Depend on Him
In the following days, Michale Shaw went on several blind dates, eting quite a few girls; though so of them hit it off with him, he didn’t develop any further feelings.
Instead, the absence of Tobias Carter during this period made him feel quite agitated.
Assistant rritt clearly sensed that his boss was in a bad mood lately. With his usual cheerful disposition, it was rare for him to be unhappy, but suddenly he was always sighing, looking lifeless, and being particularly picky about work, causing a lot of grumbling among the subordinates.
“Young Master Shaw, you have a eting with the Carter Family representatives today.”
For every negotiation in the past, Michale Shaw would always attend.

he saw his boss rush to the office cubicle, where he spent so ti freshening up, even taking a bath and changing into clean, crisp clothes.

Feeling pretty good, Michale Shaw arrived at the eting room early, sipping coffee and humming a tune until the Carter Family representatives arrived. He did not see Tobias Carter but instead saw Archer Carter sitting in the main seat opposite him.
“Why is it you?” Michale Shaw frowned.
“Hey, long ti no see.” Archer Carter greeted him with a smile,
Michale Shaw raised an eyebrow and looked at his assistant, “Is he the so-called Young Master Carter?”
Assistant rritt was speechless and looked up at the sky.
Subsequently, Michale Shaw swung his taphorical broadsword chaotically, almost driving Archer Carter to tears at the negotiation table. He imdiately called for help, “Bro, save , I’m dying.”
“What’s wrong?”
“Michale Shaw is being a tyrant, he’s bullying .”
“Hand the phone to him.”
Archer Carter, holding the phone, happily ran over and tossed the phone, “It’s my brother’s call.”
“What’s with your brother? This is a negotiation table; even if my own father were on the other side, I wouldn’t hold back.” Having said that, Michale Shaw took the phone, cleared his throat, and greeted, “What do you want to talk about?”
Assistant rritt frowned:
My dear boss, watch your tone!
“Archer has just taken over the company’s project, don’t be too hard on him.”
“I haven’t been hard on him.” Michale Shaw coughed twice, “So… will you be coming today?”
“Yes. Are you coming ho for dinner tonight? If not, I’ll just make dinner for myself.”
“I’ll be back!”
After Michale Shaw handed the phone back to Archer Carter, the negotiations continued.
This ti, it wasn’t harassnt nor rcy—it was an outpouring!
Not even waiting for the workday to end, soone enthusiastically hurried ho to prepare dinner, making Assistant rritt’s head almost explode because the old man had warned him that if Michale Shaw exhibited any unusual behavior, he needed to report it imdiately.
Now it was clear that his boss had special feelings for Tobias Carter…
What to do?
Should he tell the old man?
But he didn’t know how to start. What if they were just good bros?

Michale Shaw hadn’t seen him for five days, and Tobias Carter still looked refined and delicate, but his intuition told him that Tobias wasn’t in a good state. Even during dinner, he seed absent-minded.
“Went back to the old house and got scolded by the elders?” Michale Shaw observed him.
“Not really.”
“How about after dinner, we go for a walk downstairs?”
Tobias Carter usually stayed ho a lot and rarely went out other than for work. Today, however, he nodded and agreed, saying that he needed to visit the supermarket. Normally, most of the household supplies and groceries were purchased by designated individuals, so going to the supermarket was more like a leisure activity.
This ti, he didn’t bring his bodyguard along.
What surprised Michale Shaw was that Tobias Carter bought quite a bit of candy and snacks.

He usually has such restraint and wouldn’t even eat an extra mouthful of food, let alone show any preference for any dish, keeping everything balanced, leaving no clues to his favorites.
After driving back to the underground garage, Michale Shaw fetched the items from the trunk while Tobias Carter exited from the passenger seat. Suddenly, a woman darted out from the side, grabbing Tobias Carter’s arm, and urgently said, “Young Master Carter, you can’t treat like this, you’re cutting off my livelihood!”
Michale Shaw frowned and took a closer look.
Wasn’t this the woman who drugged Archer Carter last ti?
She was supposed to be detained; how did she get out so quickly?
Reflecting on it, she had been detained for half a month; it makes sense that she’s out now.
“Let go!” Tobias Carter frowned.
“I didn’t an to last ti, I just love you too much.”
“Love ? So you drugged my brother? What you love is our Carter Family’s money.” Tobias Carter curtly shrugged her off, “I showed leniency last ti. If you keep clinging on, I’m afraid you won’t be able to stay in Capital City.”
By this ti, Michale Shaw had walked up to Tobias Carter, and asked with concern, “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.”
The woman glanced at the two of them, especially noticing the worry in Michale Shaw’s eyes, and suddenly seed to understand sothing, bursting into laughter.

“Tobias Carter, I always thought it was my lack of charm, or that you were incapable. I didn’t realize you’re actually this type of person…”
“No wonder you never touched in the half month we were together!”
“So, this is what you’re into.”
Tobias Carter frowned and warned, “Watch your mouth!”
“You should have said so earlier. I wouldn’t have wasted my ti on you. Changing girlfriends frequently was probably to hide this particular fetish, right? After all, this wouldn’t sound good if it got out.”
“Young Master Shaw, you better be careful with him!”
“Careful…”
“that you don’t get used up and cast aside!”
Tobias Carter took a deep breath, clearly angered, “Get lost before I take action!”
The woman, seeing Tobias Carter’s grim face and knowing she couldn’t provoke him, quickly scurried away. Michale Shaw, on the other hand, began scrutinizing Tobias closely, pondering the authenticity of the woman’s words.
Tobias Carter didn’t bother with Michale Shaw, instead making a call to have the woman dealt with to prevent further trouble.
Back ho, he was still seething with unexpressed anger.
He ripped open a packet of fruit candy and chewed it loudly, completely devoid of his usual cold deanor, appearing sowhat adorable.
Once he cald down, he seed to realize that Michale Shaw had been watching him all along. He coughed twice, perhaps to ease the awkwardness, and offered the candy, “Want so?”
Michale Shaw took a piece of strawberry-flavored candy, and Tobias Carter carried the shopping bags, organizing the groceries from the supermarket.
However, he wasn’t very tall, and there was a storage cabinet high up in the closet that he couldn’t reach. He was about to fetch the foldable ladder from ho, but when he turned, Michale Shaw was already standing behind him…
“I got it!” Michale Shaw took the items from him and effortlessly placed them in the high cabinet.

His whole body seed to be enveloped by Michale Shaw’s chest.

Both had eaten the candy, so their breaths were sweet. Michale Shaw looked down at him, “You’ve dated so many girlfriends, yet you don’t touch them?”
“How is that your business? I prefer intellectual connections, is that wrong?”
“Not at all.” Michale Shaw smiled brightly at him.
Their proximity, along with Michale Shaw’s overly handso smile, sent a shiver through Tobias Carter’s heart. He pushed him away, “You handle the rest, I’m going to my room to rest.”
Thinking of the woman’s words, Michale Shaw’s lips curled up slightly.
