Chapter 500: 498 Shea Family Ivy, probably has a personality like her dad

Outside the delivery room

Zoe Payne couldn’t help but feel anxious, pacing back and forth with her big belly. After a brief mont of panic, Isaac Shea made a few phone calls, notifying their parents and mother-in-law, and then contacted the pre-booked maternity center to arrange for admission.

He instructed the family maid to bring the delivery bag.

“You should sit down for a bit, don’t worry, the doctor said that sending her to the hospital in ti will ensure a smooth and safe delivery,” Cressida Jones reassured Zoe Payne, although she appeared calm, she was equally anxious inside.

She had never experienced anything like this,

When she heard from Hannah Johnson that her water broke, her scalp tightened.

Most importantly, Hannah Johnson, the one involved, was particularly calm.

She kept saying, “Don’t worry, drive slowly.”

“If there’s really no ti, I can just give birth in the car.”

These words scared Cressida Jones.

Giving birth in the car, like in a TV drama? This would not do!

They drove to the nearest hospital, a ten-minute drive, sweating profusely. When they arrived at the hospital and checked her, there was already bleeding. After an examination, they found that the uterine cavity was filled with blood, so the hospital urgently called doctors to take her to the operating room.

Zoe Payne, being pregnant, had Cressida Jones handle many things.

She beca sowhat numb, her ears filled with the doctor’s words, “…if we don’t operate now, the baby might not survive, and even the mother’s life is at risk.”

Everything happened too quickly.

Cressida Jones had just looked up what placental abruption was and broke out in a cold sweat.

No wonder they say that giving birth is like a walk through hell.

When Isaac Shea received the news and arrived at the hospital, Hannah Johnson had already been in the delivery room for over half an hour. William Hale arrived even later, and as he hurried into the hospital, he didn’t even have ti to speak to his wife before a nurse ca out of the delivery room.

“Is there a family mber of Hannah Johnson here?”

“Here!” Isaac Shea imdiately rushed over.

“Congratulations, mother and baby are safe.” The nurse held a newborn baby in her arms, and after a brief glance, he asked, “What about my wife?”

“She is still resting, we are observing her condition, she should be out in about half an hour.”

“Thank you.”

Thus, William Hale beca an uncle as soon as he arrived at the hospital. Zoe Payne and Cressida Jones both breathed a sigh of relief. Though it was not yet the due date, the baby was already full-term, and everything was normal, except that the baby looked all wrinkled, red, and skinny, not very appealing.

To be honest, this was not how Isaac Shea had imagined his child.

A little…

Ugly!

And cried in a very unpleasant way.

But then he heard his parents say, “I saw Hannah’s baby pictures before, and this little one looks just like her.”

“Yes, the nose and eyes look exactly the sa,” Yumi Johnson chid in with a smile.

Isaac Shea frowned, looking at William Hale, clearly conveying:

They…

Are really good at lying with their eyes open!

How could sothing this ugly look like his wife?

He didn’t know how to hold a baby, and when this skinny little thing was placed in his arms, his body stiffened, and he didn’t dare move. He forgot all the parenting knowledge he had learned.

Deep down, he thought the baby was ugly, but when Michale Shaw ca over with gifts, he said, “So this is what newborns look like.”

His expression clearly showed he thought the baby was unattractive.

Isaac Shea got angry when he heard this, “What’s wrong with my son’s appearance?”

“He’s especially good-looking!”

In short, he could be critical, but no one else could.

Originally, he and Hannah planned to have more children. After all, both the Shea and Hugh families were small and having more children would make things livelier. But when Hannah was giving birth and he wasn’t there, later in the hospital room, pressing on her belly, she was in excruciating pain.

Isaac Shea imdiately decided:

No more children.

One child was enough if they could raise him well.

The Shea and Hugh families, having finally gotten such a precious little one, were extrely cautious in naming him. Even after Hannah was discharged and moved into the maternity center, the baby’s na hadn’t been decided yet.

But as soon as he was born, Mrs. and Mr. Sheas gave him jewelry worth millions, saying it was for his safety.

Wyatt Hale called him Millionaire Shea.

He was very envious that from birth he was a little rich boy.

He seed to quickly learn how to curry favor, and William Hale clicked his tongue, “This personality, he’s not like my brother-in-law, is he?”

Cunning and with an air of sophistication.

So, Hannah gave him a nickna:

Ivy!

Little Ivy seed to change day by day, growing cuter and softer. He didn’t look like Hannah; instead, he resembled Isaac Shea more, with his big, soulful puppy dog eyes. He liked sleeping next to Hannah.

However, after he fell asleep, the nanny would move him to his little bed to avoid disrupting Hannah’s rest.

This led to him waking up each ti with tears in his eyes, looking pitifully adorable.

He didn’t cry much,

he just looked very wronged.

Since having the baby, Hannah seed to suddenly have maternal instincts, unable to stand it.

Isaac Shea took a deep breath, “Is this little guy pretending?”

Hannah was speechless, “He’s so young. Do you think everyone is like you, pretending to be pitiful?”

Puppy felt wronged.

He felt his status in the family plumting.

Ivy Shea’s skin beca paler, his little face softer and plumper. Every ti Zoe Payne visited, she couldn’t help but want to pinch his cheeks. He was particularly well-behaved. So every ti Zoe returned ho, she would animatedly talk to William Hale about him for a long ti.

“If we could have a baby as cute as Ivy, that would be wonderful.”

“Don’t worry, our child will be even cuter,” William Hale said, touching her belly.

In the late stages of pregnancy, with clear fetal movents, William Hale would always touch her belly and talk to the baby before bed. However, as she grew heavier, she was no longer allowed to hold Ivy when visiting him.

Hannah stayed at the maternity center for a month and a half before coming ho. Although they had hired two professional nannies, they still seed a bit overwheld, as new parents, they wanted to do everything themselves.

When Isaac Shea found ti to thank Cressida Jones, he looked visibly exhausted.

“It’s what I should do, you don’t need to thank ,” Cressida thought he was being too polite.

Isaac Shea just smiled, “If you have ti, co to the baby’s three-month celebration and have a drink.”

“I will definitely be there.”

It was said that when Hannah was brought to the hospital, it was very dangerous, thanks to Cressida’s help, they beca closer after the incident. Each ti she visited the baby, she would take pictures to share with Tim Payne.

“Do you like kids?” Tim asked her at night in bed.

“I never did before, but Ivy Shea is just too cute.”

“How about… we have one too?”

Cressida was stunned.

Before she could react, she was pounced on.

Having kids was no simple matter; Tim was just using this as an excuse to make trouble. Cressida was thoroughly exhausted by him.

Feeling furious, she ran to the flower arranging room. When she was about to return to the bedroom, she pushed open the door to the hot spring room, and in the next second…

Suddenly, the lights in the entire villa went out.

This was the suburbs, with green trees and vines all around. When the lights went out, the moonlight ca through the branches, casting flickering shadows inside, giving a spooky feeling.

Power outage?

“Tim!” Cressida called out to him.

“What’s wrong?”

Tim’s voice ca from behind her. Before Cressida could turn around, she felt a tight hold around her waist, and he pulled her into his arms, “Scared? Then close your eyes and follow .”
