AiLin watched as Jiang NianNian stared at her with a look of uncertainty. The person who now destroyed her life seed to be hesitant in talking, fearing that she would say sothing wrong and perhaps because she had found out about her birth family and knew she wasn’t soone who she could clearly offend.
"Your acquaintance, Miss Jiang?" Ca the voice from the young man beside Jiang NianNian. His smile tugged that made his expression to soften as he reached out his hand toward AiLin’s, "Nice to et you. Are you here to visit soone?"
The young man was unexpectedly very friendly. While NianNian’s lips were still clamped up, AiLin responded to the man, "I just finished my visitation, are you here to visit soone?"
"Oh yes, I’m here to visit a close acquaintance of my parents," the young man spoke amiably. When he smiled, AiLin noted that she hadn’t seen the man’s face before which made him soone that she could easily dismiss. As she returned his handshake, she frowned when she felt his index fingers slipped to her wrist which made her pull away at once with a frown.
Jiang NianNian who seed to have gathered herself finally turned over to look at AiLin and showed a demure smile that was pretentious, "Oh, Miss AiLin. I did not expect to see you here. We have started at the wrong foot but I hope that your reason for wanting to see again is not for revenge?"
AiLin laughed, seeing Jiang NianNian hiding her discomfort upon seeing her smile as she reminded her of the Jiang AiLin she knew so well.
"I don’t do revenge so weakly, Miss Jiang," AiLin shrugged her shoulders and looked at her sharp nails, "If I really want revenge, I will make sure it happened slowly and tortuously. First, I’ll make sure to cut off their limbs, cut off the people who could help them, and then proceed to pressure them until they explode to bits."
Unease filled Jiang NianNian as she stared at AiLin with a gulp after hearing at what she had uttered.
"That’s so.. terrible. You shouldn’t do revenge at all, Miss AiLin," Jiang NianNian curved her round eyes like an adorable bunny, "It’s upsetting to live your life just for revenge, don’t you agree?"
"I wonder," AiLin humd and she turned to the young man beside Jiang NianNian who had been staring at her this entire ti, his gaze controlling and begging for attention that made her eyebrows furrowed. "What do you think? Do you also believe that revenge is a terrible idea?"
The young man smiled after given her attention, "No," he responded to which made Jiang NianNian’s face turn sour, "I believe that revenge is necessary. When soone did dirty to you, it’s only right for you to get back at them. I despise people who could only cry after being hurt. They could just hurt the person who had hurt them first, don’t you agree?"
AiLin raised her eyebrows, realizing that most young man who Jiang NianNian had seduced would always agree to her words regardless if she was wrong or right. The fact that this young man had disagreed to her so openly ant that Jiang NianNian wasn’t in control here but the young man.
She wondered who he is and asked, "I don’t think I have gotten your na?"
"Su HaiTan," answered the young man as he spread his lips into a wider smile, "And yours is...?"
"AiLin," she responded curtly as she felt sothing was off with Su HaiTan. For a brief mont he seed like soone with an agreeable and gentle nature but the way his eyes would look down on her or Jiang NianNian seed as if he was more of a trouble than a blessing.
"Well Miss Jiang," AiLin then spoke up, "I will have to go now, I hope whoever you’re eting would be soon in great health."
Jiang NianNian didn’t return the greeting and only watched as AiLin walked away with her fists clenched as tight as an iron grip. When they were now left alone again, NianNian turned to look at Su HaiTan, finding that he was still staring at AiLin as she entered the black taxi ca, his eyes filled with amusent.
"H- HaiTan," she sang as she placed her hands and wrapped it around his arms again, "Should we go inside now? You said you’ve been wanting to et this acquaintance of yours."
"Right," Su HaiTan only replied after seeing that AiLin was gone, "I found that face of Miss AiLin earlier extrely familiar, I can’t point out where I have seen her before, however."
Jiang NianNian pursed her lips tightly, "Maybe it’s your imagination."
"Maybe," answered Su HaiTan coldly.
"Who are we eting?" Jiang NianNian tried to change the conversation with a brighter output but Su HaiTan’s amusent was gone and he looked extrely bored to be with her which made her heart more unhappy than ever.
"An Elder that my parents had known for a while," said Su HaiTan as they ca closer to the hospital’s entrance, "Elder Hua." He added the na.
Away from the hospital, AiLin had arrived to Canary’s office. She didn’t see the n who would usually greeted her and instead heard a loud bang from inside Canary’s office which made her frown. She imdiately snapped open the door, rushing inside to see the weeping Lu Ping who had sat down on the ground while the five subordinates of Canary was standing beside her, looming as if they were about to end her.
Canary was sitting on her working chair, her legs were raised and settled to the desk in front of her as she shuffled through the docunts that Lu Ping had given to her.
"I- I gave you what you need.." cried Lu Ping, "Shouldn’t that make my debts to be cleared?"
Canary lifted her eyes, eting AiLin’s eyes as they both exchanged a smile, "No, not enough," said AiLin who entered the room.
Lu Ping flinched as she found the voice familiar, knowing it to belong to Canary’s boss, the Boss of these loan sharks. However when she turned and saw AiLin’s face between her tears, her face went still and her tears fell.
She knew this woman..
She felt familiar upon seeing this woman...
"Ai.. Lin?"
