The creatures you call as aunts are quite a troubleso type of woman you would once et in your life. Being soone from a household whose aunt didn’t like her so much, AiLin knew this painfully well. So when she saw the young woman being shad by her own "aunts" as the girl had called these four won, AiLin could feel the radiating toxic energy from the won.

Spiteful, jealous, and even hatred. All of this felt so clear to her ears.

"I- I will work on it," said the girl in a subdued voice despite being shad. Even the other guests felt too uncomfortable to be around and rushed their way out of the shop, leaving AiLin and the girl alone.

Although AiLin would usually turn around at other people’s business she hate people who would bully others no matter its reason. Especially when a group of toad-like aunts who seed to be enjoying picking on a young girl to fill their nasty hunger for violence.

It must have hurt, thought AiLin.

The lack of empathy coming from the woman as they pick apart the girl. They pointed their fingers, magnifying her flaws, and making her feel the intangible sense that she could never be enough. Not smart enough, not pretty enough, and not enough to be in the calibre of being praised.

Oddly young nieces in those situations would try their best to prove their aunts that they could be better, that they would fix the flaws the aunt had called out in front of others when truthfully those flaws would never matter so much. After all if that flaw is fixed, they could make another flaw to make the girl feel less about herself.

Of course, not all aunts are like this and AiLin wouldn’t want to be an aunt that would make her niece suffer but she couldn’t grasp these won’s minds as they tugged the girl’s collar and remarked how she wasn’t pale enough.

"You should have gotten in the shades more often."

"Too late, she was born tanned. Maybe you should get so injections to make yourself turn fairer. Only those with fair skin will receive blessings you know what auntie ans, Vicky?"

The young woman, Vicky, only seed more defeated as she was called out. She seed like a ek girl and would rather suffer in silence than having the aunts calling her as a rude girl for talking back.

She doesn’t know who Vicky is. It’s also none of her business. None.

But bullying wasn’t tolerated in front of her eyes even if she was blind.

"I agree," AiLin had stepped up and reached out her hand behind Vicky’s shoulders. Her hand then landed on the dress that was in front of Vicky, a tacky dress with a design that wouldn’t fit her body shape. AiLin grabbed the dress and placed it on herself, "Ugly," she then remarked.

The old aunties were imdiately with a frown upon hearing AiLin who had interrupted them. Their gazes were as if yelling at her wordlessly for ruining their mont.

"I believe that this dress wouldn’t suit you," AiLin said to Vicky who was also as shocked as her aunts when AiLin stood right beside her.

"See? Even this pretty young lady agree! We are your aunts darling we wouldn’t want the worst for you." The aunties imdiately fed on her words once she agreed with them.

"But aunty, I rather choose my own dress. It’s an important party for to make my first impression to my—"

"We know best sweetheart. We have been a mother longer than your own mother," the first aunt said with a clipped tone. Her noose scrunched in anger upon recalling Vicky’s mother. It was sort of a vendetta, thought AiLin.

The one they despise seed to be the young woman’s mother which now stemd into a full on hatred toward her. They then pulled Vicky’s hands and pointed to the dress opposite to it. If the earlier choice wasn’t fitting because of the shape, this didn’t fit because of the tacky splashes of colors, the torn fabric on the waist, and the basic vibe that didn’t match the lovely and quiet air which Vicky has.

AiLin frowned in disgust seeing this.

Vicky herself was horrified seeing the next option almost letting out a visible gasp. Quickly her aunt took the dress and shove it to her. The other won pushed Vicky toward the changing room, everything happening so quickly while Vicky seed on verge of tears. It seed she didn’t have a choice as her aunt will make her day ruined for her said party.

Pulling her hand, AiLin made sure that Vicky was away from her aunts and shielded her to her back. She smiled to the won but her eyes didn’t brighten up. A small glare glinted underneath her long lashes as she eyed the older woman who were shocked and slightly confused.

"What are you doing?" The first aunt demanded, "Why are you taking my niece away from ?"

"Well I would want to save her from wearing such a dress that shouldn’t have existed to begin with," AiLin remarked. "You said you are her aunt? Then you should know how gorgeous this girl is. It would be a great offense to have her wear anything so unfitting."

Offended, the woman raised her index finger and pointed at her face, "This is MY niece, not yours. Piss off girl. You are too young to be taking care of soone else’s business."

AiLin comprehend the situation and stepped back. The woman smiled while Vicky seed more defeated seeing that the kind stranger was yelled by her aunt and was probably regretting defending her. But AiLin didn’t step away completely. She had only took one step back to suck air into her lungs.

"Don’t you ever notice how wonderful silence is?" AiLin turned her question to Vicky who seed moved that AiLin didn’t give up on her. "Do you mind if I speak to your aunts?"

Vicky turned to her aunts who were glaring at her and pursed her lips when she recalled how this would then be exaggerated into her bringing a stranger to put their family na into sha. When she was about to refuse AiLin’s help AiLin cut her and instead said, "No, actually I want to talk to your aunt. It wasn’t a question," she then turned to the won who were shocked at her rudeness, not that she cared. "Now ladies you are old enough but why are you behaving like high school girls who are annoyed because another prettier girl is now more liked than yourself? Is it the... inferiority complex talking there?"
