Jiang NianNian slamd her phone across the table. Anger was all over her face as she glared at it, her hate for the people who had ignored all her calls, the friends who were all up on her face yet now refuse to answer her ssages had piled up.
She had always known that people in her circle were fickle, but she had never expected them to abandon her so quickly. Just days ago, they had laughed at her jokes, showered her with complints, and clung to her side like leeches. Now, the mont trouble knocked on her door, they had disappeared like smoke in the wind.
Jiang NianNian gritted her teeth, heaving heavily. One of her maid had ca to the commotion but seeing that it was Jiang NianNian in a furry, she imdiately try to run away, knowing Jiang NianNian far too well and her anger that always cut their maids with punishnts.
Thankfully, she hadn’t seen the maid. Her hands clenched into fists as she glared at her phone, her heart pounding with frustration. She had called them, one after another, expecting at least soone to pick up. But all she got were ignored ssages and unanswered calls.
"Fake. All of them," she spat under her breath. "Give back my damn money!" She kicked the feet of the table, causing it to crash under pressure and seeing the chaos this only made her even angrier.
Her nails dug into her palm as she forced herself to calm down. Fine. If they wouldn’t help her, she would find another way. She refused to be discarded like this. But how? She had chosen to lick Su HaiTan’s boots, knowing well that he was too beloved for Elder Hua who always doted on him and if she was chosen to be his wife, she would have lived a life akin to a consort, full of unending wealth.
Su HaiTan presented himself as a kind and gentle young man. His constant warm smile on his lips had made her to think that he was no different than those naive young masters who are far too gullible. If she sleeps with him once, under whatever circumstances, she was sure he would take a full responsibility for her and even marry her on the spot.
Jiang NianNian was sure of this. Not because of her overconfidence but because Su HaiTan had always been known for soone who would lend money to his so called friends despite them obviously using him for money. Even after finding it out, he didn’t demand for the money to be returned or be upset. Instead, he had lend more money and treated the friend kindly by his side.
For soone so easily trusting, Su HaiTan was an easy prey to her.
So she started her plan. First she had pretended to be lost where Su HaiTan was and asked for his help. Under the rain with her dress sticking on her breast, a flushed face, and a troubled expression, this should have been enough to sway Su HaiTan’s heart and it did. Upon seeing her in trouble, he had rushed, lending his coat, his words sweet as he said that he would help bring her ho.
Just like that, Su HaiTan and her beca friends. She began to initiate more contact with him, starting from calls that were too often, to dinners, and lunch. She had even entered his house which most girls couldn’t co to by pretending that she had to change her spilled dress.
Throughout all this, she saw no changes in Su HaiTan’s kind smile. Instead he had looked even kinder and loving, clearly falling into her trap. This had also made her love him.
After all he’s wealthy, kind, charming, and handso. He was everything she wanted in a man and that swayed her heart even though she was the one who was supposed to trick him, she was the one who had fallen in love instead.
Yet things suddenly changed. When her father’s project failed, Su HaiTan though he didn’t express it clearly, he seed disappointed in her. He began ignoring her calls and dismissing her ssages, and the last thing he had said was: "I don’t think we should et anymore, Miss Jiang. I had heard everything about the real you. I thought I should trust you instead of those words I heard, but that night I have seen what I needed to see."
This left Jiang NianNian broken. She had cried and wept, angrily throwing everything in her room, but nothing could put back her heart in peace. The life she thought she would have from Su HaiTan disappeared in an instant. How couldn’t she be more upset?!
Jiang NianNian sat in the dimly lit corner of her room, staring blankly at the last ssage he had sent her. The words blurred in her vision, but they were burned into her mind, repeating over and over like a cruel lody.
"I had seen what I needed to see."
What had he seen?
Who had told him?
Her hands trembled as she glared at her broken phone, her nails digging into the smooth surface of her palms. She had tried calling, tried ssaging, but all she was t with was silence.
Su HaiTan had abandoned her. Just like everyone else.
Just then, her phone vibrated. A single ssage popped up on the screen.
"et . I have an offer for you."
The sender’s na made her blood run cold.
Her souls seed to have flinched upon reading the na on the ssage, the person she knew from High school, those rowdy bunches she had used to bully AiLin into nothingness. And now she’s back. She’s back.
Whenever she’s back, everything good in her life beca bad.
Yeah. The person to bla for all this misfortune on her was none other than that damned woman!
She slamd her closet open, pulling out the most dull looking clothes she could get and put a baseball cap over her head to cover her face. So many people had been camping outside their house, and even though they had now moved to a smaller and further house, they still locate them like an annoying little fly.
She had no choice but to use the back door, sneaking like a rat and although this had hurt her pride, she had nothing else to do other than grit it through. After catching a taxi, she had rushed with her broken phone, staring at the blinking screen of the ssages that had only sent the location for her to visit.
Right as she arrived at the place, she got out of the taxi to look at the hotel known for its most beautiful natural river that most people ca to visit.
This hotel belongs to the illegitemate son of a famous son of the wealthy oil company.
That son you asked? It’s none other than Bai HaiZe.
His mother was an actress before her death. She was an upcoming new talent that had broken records everywhere and perhaps because of that Bai HaiZe himself was simply too good when it cos to acting and to play pretend as soone he’s not. He had almost fooled her as well.
Even AiLin who was usually sensitive to the false pretense of others was bought over by his pretentious kindness when in truth the person who had lend her help in destroying AiLin’s life was none other than him.
She found it laughable back then. AiLin thought that there was at least one person in her life who truly cared and loved for her. How funny was it that this man was no different than the ones who had tried to hurt her?
Bai HaiZe was also a twisted bastard. When he was turned away by AiLin, instead of accepting him, he decided to make it so there was no other choice for her than him.
When she had arrived at the floor, Jiang NianNian imdiately caught sight of HangZhou lying on the couch with smoke and alcohol mixed together. There was plastic wraps of white substance which wasn’t questionable as he used to do them since their high school ti.
She didn’t expect to see her high school cri buddies again as she had cut them quickly in hope to have a clear na and a good reputation. The boys didn’t care about it her behavior either as it was normal for them to cut ties when their goals have deviated.
But now they were all in one room with TaLu and FanIn on the side who was still kissing all over the face with a younger woman.
"The other one got pregnant and demanded for to pay her money," FaIn said with a click of her tongue, "I sent her so and tell her to just abort it."
TaLu laughed at it, "How many won has it been this ti? Maybe they’re lying about being pregnant just for the money."
"Whatever as long as it hushed them. What can I do? I’m just that fertile. All the girls who slept with would imdiately be pregnant," he then turned to the younger girl on his left, "Do you also want to do it with ?"
The girl giggled, nodding as the amount of money offered to hush her mouth was enough for her family to stop working.
Seeing this Jiang NianNian scowl, she said from the side with a click of her tongue, "Is she really of age?"
