AiLin felt as if Li ZiChen had really packed his car with gasoline.
She pushed him aside, "Stop your jokes."
"But it isn't," he sighed faintly before returning to the family of Jiangs. It seed they were always going against AiLin as she was alone. He watched as her expression was brave but wondered if back then when she was younger she could be as brave as she was now? Being alone, without a single ally as her support? It must have been difficult for her.
"I was invited to the party but I didn't know I would be invited to watch a cheap drama," Li ZiChen's voice was cold and sharp which made Mr and Mrs Jiang to stare at him with a hint of wariness.
Mrs Jiang gritted her teeth, "It would be better for you to stay away from her as soon as possible, Mr Li! You don't know who you are standing beside with right now!"
Li ZiChen turned his eyes to look at AiLin who in return seed to have clenched her hands into tight fists as she stared back at him. She turned her face away as if she was unable to look back into his eyes and pulled him closer, "It's better for your sake to leave now. This ti I'm not saying it because I don't want to accept your help but it's for your own sake."
Li ZiChen turned to her and she could hear the deep clatter of laughter from his crimson lips, "I'm honored that you are worried about . But do pray tell , Mrs Jiang what do you an that I should be careful to the woman who I have invited with into this party? Are you telling that my partner here is soone dangerous?"
"That's right!" Jiang NianNian hurried and made her way right in front of Li ZiChen. Seeing that handso face makes her swoon but at the sa ti frustrated as she had been trying so hard to catch his attention but he never repaid for it. In the end he even embarrassed her! But that doesn't matter. After all that rotten personality of Li ZiChen is nothing in comparison to all his wealth and that handso face that would make both n and won swoon for him.
"I don't think you now her... but she is—" Jiang NianNian pressed her chest and lowered her lashes, she pulled her hand under her eyes to wipe away her tears, "She is soone really dangerous who had killed soone by her own two hands! She pretended to be for a very long ti even though she was well aware that I am the real daughter of Jiang Family. She also bullied in school, almost to the point of killing ..."
Everyone gasped around them and one voice said it aloud— a na that they had forgotten.
"Jiang AiLin?! Is that really her?!"
"That fox?" Another woman shouted in response, "But wasn't she in prison?!"
"What do you an in prison?! She is dead!"
AiLin flinched upon hearing the last sentence shouted by soone. She took a clear view and saw the woman who had said that, not recognizing their face but seed so certain that she had died.
She turned to Jiang Family and found that they seed also conflicted by the fact that she was supposed to be "dead". No wonder they looked so scared out of wits seeing her breathing and talking to them— it's because they thought she had died!
But when?
she turned to Li ZiChen and questioned in her head if this man who had saved her so many tis knew about this all.
"I know Jiang AiLin," Li ZiChen said without looking at her. He smiled, "But as you all knew she was the one who was told in the newspaper last week, died in prison killed by a group of thugs."
"I don't know how she could fake that but I know she is AiLin! I have seen that face in all my nightmares— the source of our miseries!" Mrs Jiang pointed her index finger sharp at AiLin, "You wench what do you want to co back to my family for?! Do you still want to ruin our happiness?! Isn't it enough for you to burn our house down!"
AiLin felt her anger surging up to her heart. She glared at Mrs Jiang and a cold laugh left her mouth, "You say that I'm AiLin, right? Then shouldn't you keep your attitude in line, Mrs Jiang? I have killed soone, I could kill you too."
Each guests let out an audible gasp and finally walked backward as they watched the gorgeous woman who turned out to be AiLin! The woman who had destroyed Jiang Family's happiness!
"B- But the police wouldn't make a false statent," said another guests. "If Jiang AiLin had really died... that woman standing right now couldn't be a ghost is she?!"
Suddenly soone ca in between and the young man with a composed smile and a well kept hairstyle cut in between the conversations, shushing the guests in an instance the mont he spoke, " and my family are convinced that she is Jiang AiLin, Sir Li but since you seem to think otherwise, can you let us know the identity of the woman standing beside you now?"
Li ZiChen placed his hand over the back of AiLin's waist and pushed her forward, "AiLin. The "Ai" from "love", the "Lin" from "beautiful jade."
AiLin turned to him, wondering what he was planning and then felt as he pulled her arms and placed it over the curves of his face, smiling widely as he did so.
"Let introduce you again. She is the woman who will be soon engaged to , Hua AiLin."
