"Co back again next ti, no next week!" Grandmother Li hugged her tightly while whispering to her ears of how much she had enjoyed spending ti with her and AiLin couldn’t tell what she was feeling. She was ginger and shy, so happy but couldn’t express it much other than pressing her lips into a smile so she wouldn’t smile too widely. The rest of the family mbers hugged her one by one, everyone telling her that she should co over more often and although it was far to get here, she thought that the distance was worth it.

"Take care of her," grandfather Li said while patting to Li ZiChen’s shoulders.

AiLin smiled and spoke up, "I should be the one taking care of him."

"What are you saying?" Mrs Li shook her head and looked at her son, "He should take care of you first. Wife is the reflection of their husband. The better the husband takes care of the wife, she would look happier and he would also be happy."

"Taking care of her is indeed my joy," Li ZiChen said before staring at her eyes. Their gaze clouded with warmth that turned everything pink and her heart to tie into knots. She just found herself so happy in this house as if it was heaven. No stress, no more thinking, simply being herself. It made her even happier to see that everyone else in the family accepts her for who she is and never once looked down on her when she gave them her opinion. This touched her heart and simply made her even more joyful.

When they drove ho, AiLin was still looking at the packed lunch box made by Mrs. Li and she wondered how she could savor this in its best taste. But eating in Li ZiChen’s car would be a bad idea right? His car is expensive and also it will leave a long lasting sll.

"Go on, eat it," Li ZiChen said as he drove, "It will take so ti until we co ho so you should eat it all before it goes cold."

AiLin smiled, "Thank you," she whispered and then took a bite of the freshly cooked lotus soup, finding her tongue dancing in delight with how good it tasted. "Your family is really as I imagined they would be. So kind and gentle, and so thoughtful too. They’re like you in so many ways and I think I understand why you are the way you are after seeing them."

As she took another bite, she recalled Cousin Ling’s face as she entered Li ZiChen’s car. The woman was smiling with her lovely face but for so reason it looked so off putting. Judging by how their conversation had ended last night, it seed that Cousin Ling was soone she needed to avoid at all costs the next ti they were going to et again. She just hope it wouldn’t be so soon as all the stress wasn’t good when she just wanted to enjoy the warm company of Li Zi Chen’s family.

"By the way, why did JingYi turn up absent?"

Li ZiChen moved his car to a stop at a red light and responded to her while taking a bite from the food she offered, "He’s busy with the movie. Mother and father had already seen him before and he had known you, so he could take his ti being absent from the family eting. Though almost everyone was there, you hadn’t et a few people."

"Like Cousin Ling’s husband," she muttered and then blinked, "What kind of person is Cousin Ling’s husband?"

"Soone quiet. He has always been a quiet cousin of mine. He doesn’t speak much and always go to the point pretty quickly. Ah and that he has a low confidence on himself," answered Li ZiChen. "But he works in pharmaceutical company and he’s known to be the best on his field."

Seems like a normal person... but Cousin Ling herself looked like a normal person until she had done what she did.

"By the way, you told that you will be eting Vicky?" Li ZiChen asked as she nodded eagerly. He turned back to drive and thought about the Hua Family. They wanted to get in touch with AiLin so much, if they could, they even want to bring AiLin into the family house and live there but they know better than anyone how Elder Hua would use everything in her power to harm AiLin, aning her staying in his house with limited staff was far more safer.

It wasn’t that he liked living in apartnt or that he wanted to keep AiLin’s contact with people as limited as possible in his house. But it’s because the lesser people gathering around her, the better for him to know whether there’s soone harmful around her.

But he knew what Hua Family ans to AiLin, a way for her to heal and for her to learn that there are truly people in her own family who really love her.

"Mhm! Tomorrow, she wanted to introduce to soone, a friend of her. Oh and I will be going to the family house after that so I might co ho late."

"No worries, just tell when you’re done," he said, focusing again on his driving. Yeah, as long as Elder Hua’s claw is far from AiLin, everything will be fine.

The next afternoon, AiLin had arrived at a restaurant, seeing a familiar face waving at her was her beautiful sister Vicky who was dressed in plated black dress that reached to her knees and her hair that had been braided with adorable flower ornants. She then rushed to hugged her and AiLin hugged Vicky with the sa excitent, hugging each other and imdiately giggling at each other’s presence.

"Did I co late?"

"No way! You didn’t, I heard from Zi Chen that you got accepted in an audition! So does that an I will soon beco a sister of a famous actress?!" Vicky loves AiLin so much that she almost turn into a puppy in face of a treat. She wanted to be closer to AiLin that she even moved her bag and shifted her chair to sit beside AiLin, leaving the young man who was staring at AiLin with a troubled expression.

AiLin laughed at Vicky’s words, "I don’t think I’ll be so famous but I’ll try my best so you would like the movie and enjoy it," AiLin had long accepted the idea that she would be starting her first job by the next week. She realized that there was a third person on the table and looked at the man who was holding tightly to his clutches as if he had seen soone so amazing.

"N- Nice to see you again!" He stood up from his chair and bowed his entire body into a ninety degree angle, so much so that Ailin herself jumped from surprise and a mix of shock. She stared at the young man in confusion, wondering what the hell was wrong with him that he had to bow so much to her. Even worse, he was about to kneel on the ground until she stopped him.

"You don’t have to bow—"

"—No I have to. I have to kneel in front of you," said the young man in a hurry. "I don’t think you rember and that only ans that you are such a kind soul."

She turned slowly to Vicky with a shocked face and a scared one as people acting like this had her on edges.

The young man explained, "You don’t seem to rember miss AiLin but on the day I had visited OuYang’s club, you were there and you had found unconscious. I have learnt later that I was severely under the influence of a sleeping pill and relaxant dicine that had caused to lose all control of myself. I was about to be assaulted when you had helped and I truly wish to repay for all your kindness."

AiLin narrowed her eyes and finally recalled that she really did save soone from the club that night, a young man who was about to be assaulted and have his blackmail video taped. She rubbed her head, "Ah, that’s nothing don’t worry. Besides, it was just venting my anger."

"So you really did help XanXi?" Vicky asked with sparkling admiration on her eyes.

AiLin marked the young man’s na as XanXi, finally realizing who he is. There was many son of wealthy millionaires and billionaires children. But above that there were also many sons of the political parents. If she wasn’t wrong, XanXi is the son of the previous pri minister though he had retired, XanXi’s father is still very much reputable and powerful behind the scenes.

even his son’s na was famous, how could the father himself not be?

"XanXi was it?" She asked and the young man nodded his head urgently she pressed her hands together and humd, "What did you do to OuYang club?"

Curious, Vicky turned to XanXi who stared at the two with innocent eyes.

"I only told my father about what had happened inside there and then I called the police to help you as you had requested," he then looked worried, "W- Was I not supposed to do that?"

No wonder! Even though Hang Zhou’s father was powerful enough to swept this matter under the rug, he eventually couldn’t hide it any longer because XanXi’s father’s influence upon seeing his only son was in danger. AiLin grinned, though she helped XanXi out of the goodwill of her heart, it seems being a great person can help yourself as well!
