Chapter 144: The Future Daughter-in-Law
The first three months of the training had ended. Lu Beixiao received an award – ‘The Best Warrior on Land.’ During those three months of training, they did not sleep more than three hours every night. It was normal for them to be drenched in cold water or be fud with gas. Furthermore, the group of trainees had decreased drastically from 86 to 40.

On that particular day, Ye Qiao was building a snowman for Lu Xiaogun to see. While doing so, she overheard her mother-in-law’s voice beside them. She always beca quite afraid when she heard that voice.
‘Did Madam Du co today to send gifts to grandpa and grandma?’
“Dad, mom, this is CEO Gu from the Zhang Feng Group, and this is Madam Gu. This here is their precious daughter – Gu Xueyan. She’s the Head of Art in a military defense agency. Isn’t she lovely?”
Lu Xiaogun did so tricks all of a sudden so that she could hear his grandmother’s voice.

‘What does it an if Madam Du brought Gu Xueyan to grandpa and grandma’s house?’
“It’s fine if you want to pay a visit… but why did you bring along so many things? Xiao Zhao, go and move these things back into CEO Gu’s car!” Grandpa Lu was not cordial to them. As the seconds passed, his facial expression seed to grow sourer.
Mr. and Mrs. Gu appeared to be put in a difficult position, but Du Ying was certainly one of a kind. She was quite good at dealing with people in the business field. She smiled and said, “CEO Gu, I told you that my dad doesn’t like to accept gifts. Nevertheless, I understand that you want to extend your cordiality to him. Just move them all back into the car. It’s good enough that you hold such kind regard to us.”
“Yes, it’s the thought that counts. Please, do take your seats!” Grandma Lu said kindly.
All of them took their seats, and they started to inquire about each other.

“Mom, this is Xiao Yan Zi (Gu Xueyan’s nickna), who I’ve always ntioned to you before. Isn’t she lovely? What do you think if I introduced her to Ah Xiao?” Du Ying whispered to the old lady secretly.
The old lady smiled and looked at the girl who sat on the sofa. The girl sat with her back straight, and she even wore a formal suit; she acted in a prim and proper manner. “How nice! But, Du Ying, you’re well aware of Xiao Xiao’s temper. We need to see what Xiao Xiao thinks about it. When he’s ho, you can ask him about it and see how he feels!”
The old lady was a reasonable woman, and she never ddled in the affairs of her children and grandchildren’s marriages.
At first, she did not favor her eldest son’s wife. His wife was too dominant. But her eldest son liked her, so she had no choice but to agree to their marriage.
“Of course! But as a future mother-in-law, I like this Xiao Yan Zi very much. The most important thing is that I’m best friends with her mother, so there won’t be a problem between the mother-in-law and the daughter-in-law. Please do help persuade Xiao Xiao in the future when he returns!” Du Ying whispered again. She then brought the dessert to the living room in person.
The minute the Gu family left, Lu Beichi went to look for Ye Qiao in the courtyard next door.
“Ye Qiao, my aunt just brought her future daughter-in-law here to et my grandpa and grandma. They had just left. What do you think about that girl? She’s indeed quite lovely!” Lu Beichi was rather bold toward Ye Qiao today.
Ye Qiao had just put a scarf around the snowman. She then replied gloomily, “Lu Beichi, are you looking for trouble now?”
“No, I am not! I ca to tell you the news. By the way, aren’t you angry?” Ye Qiao now had a blackbelt. Lu Beichi did not know how she did that. She took only a single sester, and she got her blackbelt despite beginning the program as a novice who had no skills.
